Pollutants that exist in anionic species are issues of concern in water treatment. compared to cationic pollutants, the removal of anionic pollutants by adsorption is more difficult because most adsorbents carry predominantly negative charges in neutral and alkaline environments. In this study, a cross-linked chitosan derivative with quaternary ammonium and magnetic properties（Qm-chitosan） was prepared and employed to remove chromium（VI） and phosphorus（V）（cr（VI） and P（V）） from aqueous environments. The Qm-chitosan was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrometry（FT-IR）,thermogravimetric analysis（TGA）, energy dispersive X-ray（SEm-EDX） and zeta *** experiments show that Qm-chitosan can effectively remove cr（VI） and P（V）, and the main mechanism was believed to be electrostatic interaction. A pseudosecond-order model was fitted to describe the kinetic processes of cr（VI） and P（V） removal. The adsorption isotherms of both cr（VI） and P（V） on the Qm-chitosan were well fitted by the Langmuir isotherm equation. The saturated adsorption capacity of P（V）（2.783 mmol/g） was found to be higher than that of cr（VI）（2.323 mmol/g）, resulting from the size of the H2PO-4ions being smaller than that of the Hcr O-4ions. However, the theoretical calculation and experimental results showed that Qm-chitosan had a stronger affinity for cr（VI） than P（V）. The adsorption–desorption of the Qm-chitosan was evaluated, and high regeneration rates were demonstrated.

In this work,several ceria-zirconia based catalysts with very lo w(and equimolar) metal contents were prepared,characterised and tested for the cO oxidatio n reaction(under lean and stoichiometric conditions),trying to emulate those conditions found in a diesel oxidation catalyst(DOc) system from a diesel engine and those encountered under gasoline exhaust(λ=1).The metals chosen are cu,co,Ag and Pt(as a reliable benchmark).The results reveal enormous differences among reducibility and catalytic activity despite quite similar structural and textural properties of the catalysts,showing differences among dispersion(Ag-catalyst seems to present a low level of dispersion).This catalyst seems to be characterised,as well,by a strong electronic interaction between ce and Ag centres which is suggested to yield an improved reducibility under H_(2)-TPR ***,the order in catalytic activity(cu>Ag>co≈Pt>>support) seems not to follow the order found in reducibility and the cu-catalyst seems to be the most active independently on the reaction conditions,yielding nearly overlapped cO oxidation catalytic *** restingly,a stro ng correlation between the catalytic activity under the two conditions tested and the OSc values of the ce_(0.8)Zr_(0.2)O_(2)-supported metal catalysts is ***,OSc parameter measured at 150℃ can be used as a relevant descriptor to evaluate the cO oxidation activity at low and medium conversions for the investigated catalysts,much better than the H_(2)-TPR measurements.

chromium and/or arsenate removal by Fe（Ⅱ） as a function of pH, Fe（Ⅱ） dosage and initial cr（Ⅵ）/As（Ⅴ） ratio were examined in batch tests. The presence of arsenate reduced the removal efficiency of chromium by Fe（Ⅱ）, while the presence of chromate significantly increased the removal efficiency of arsenate by Fe（Ⅱ） at pH 6-8, In the absence of arsenate, chromium removal by Fe（Ⅱ） increased to a maximum with increasing pH from 4 to 7 and then decreased with a further increase in pH. The increment in Fe（Ⅱ） dosage resulted in an improvement in chromium removal and the improvement was more remarkable under alkaline conditions than that under acidic conditions. chromium removal by Fe（Ⅱ） was reduced to a larger extent under neutral and alkaline conditions than that under acidic conditions due to the presence of 10 μtmol/L arsenate. The presence of 20 μmol/L arsenate slightly improved chromium removal by Fe（Ⅱ） at pH 3.9-5,8, but had detrimental effects at pH 6.7-9.8. Arsenate removal was improved significantly at pH 4-9 due to the presence of 10μmol/L chromate at Fe（Ⅱ） dosages of 20-60 μmol/L. Elevating the chromate concentration from 10 to 20μmol/L resulted in a further improvement in arsenate removal at pH 4.0-4.6 when Fe（Ⅱ） was dosed at 30-60 μmol/L.

This work investigates the influence of the type sludge on drainage, plant development, purification performances and biosolids quality. Drainage properties were measured through the frequency of clogging, the percentage of leachate recovered and the dryness of accumulated sludge. Plant development was measured through the density, the height and the stem diameter. Purification performance was evaluated from the reduction rate. Biosolids quality was measured after 3 months of maturation. The results show that the clogging frequencies were 9.5%;0% and 3.7%;the volume of leachate recovered was 42.2%;20.4% and 24.7% and, the dryness was 33.4%;61.1% and 52.4% for FS-ST, FS-STT and SS respectively. Plants densities were about, with densities 197.1, 171.3 and 178.3 plants/m2 in beds fed respectively with FS-ST, FS-STT and SS. Despite the high removal rates, the concentrations of pollutants in the leachates are above the Senegalese standard NS 05-061 for discharge into the environment. The biosolids are all mature with c/N and NH4+/NO3?ratios lower than 12 and 1 respectively. The biosolids are also rich in organic and mineral elements. The concentrations of Ascaris eggs are higher than the WHO recommendations. These biosolids should be stored for additional time or composted.

Following the classification of hepatocellular nodules by the International Working Party in 1995 and further elaboration by the International consensus Group for Hepatocellular Neoplasia in 2009, entities under the spectrum of hepatocellular nodules have been better characterized. Research work hence has been done to answer questions such as distinguishing high-grade dysplastic nodules from early hepatocellular carcinoma (Hcc), delineating the tumor cell origin of Hcc, identifying its prognostic markers, and subtyping hepatocellular adenomas. As a result, a copious amount of data at immunohistochemical and molecular levels has emerged. A panel of immunohistochemical markers including glypican-3, heat shock protein 70 and glutamine synthetase has been found to be of use in the diagnosis of small, well differentiated hepatocellular tumors and particularly of Hcc. The use of liver fatty acid binding protein (L-FABP), β-catenin, glutamine synthetase, serum amyloid protein and c-reactive protein is found to be helpful in the subtyping of hepatocellular adenomas. The role of tissue biomarkers for prognostication in Hcc and the use of biomarkers in subclassifying Hcc based on tumor cell origin are also discussed.

A biosynthetic gene cluster for the bioactive fungal sesterterpenoids variecolin(1)and variecolactone(2)was identified in Aspergillus aculeatus ATcc *** production of 1 and 2 was achieved in Aspergillus oryzae by expressing the sesterterpene synthase VrcA and the cytochrome P450 ***,the replacement of VrcB with homologous P450s from other fungal terpenoid pathways yielded three new variecolin analogues(5-7).Analysis of the compounds’anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo revealed that although 5 and 1 had comparable activities,5 was associated with significantly reduced toxic side effects in cancer-bearing mice,indicating its potentially broader therapeutic *** study describes the first tests of variecolin and its analogues in animals and demonstrates the utility of synthetic biology for creating molecules with improved biological activities.

采用傅里叶变换红外光谱(FTIR)和X射线光电子能谱分析(XPS)研究了粉煤灰地聚合物固封cr3+的机理。含cr的污泥由人工合成,主要成分是cr(OH)3。浸出试验采用IcP-AES方法,测试了固封cr3+前后,粉煤灰地聚合物中Al和Si的浸出量;研究结果表明,掺入含cr的污泥后,粉煤灰地聚合物中Si和Al元素的浸出量较不掺污泥时减少了,且浸出Si元素减少的幅度比浸出Al元素降低的幅度要大。FTIR结果显示,cr3+的掺入削弱了粉煤灰地聚合物主峰的强度,增加了Si—O—Si和Al—O—Si的振动波数;XPS测试结果表明,O(1s),Si(2p)和cr(2p)的结合能都有不同程度的改变,而Al(2p)的结合能几乎没有发生变化;结果揭示cr3+参与了粉煤灰地聚合物中硅酸结构的聚合,粉煤灰地聚合物固封cr3+,不仅仅只是物理性的包裹作用,而且主要是化学反应的结果。
