In cereals, tillering and leaf development are key factors in the concept of crop ideotype, introduced in the 1960 s to enhance crop yield, via manipulation of plant architecture. In the present review, we discuss advances in genetic analysis of barley shoot architecture,focusing on tillering, leaf size and angle. We also discuss novel phenotyping techniques, such as 2 D and 3 D imaging, that have been introduced in the era of phenomics, facilitating reliable trait measurement. We discuss the identification of genes and pathways that are involved in barley tillering and leaf development,highlighting key hormones involved in the control of plant architecture in barley and rice. Knowledge on genetic control of traits related to plant architecture provides useful resources for designing ideotypes for enhanced barley yield and performance.

Cerebral malaria(CM)is a life-threatening diffuse encephalopathy caused by Plasmodium falciparum,in which the destruction of the blood–brain barrier(BBB)is the main cause of ***,increasing evidence has shown that antimalarial drugs,the current treatment for CM,do little to protect against CM-induced BBB ***,a means to alleviate BBB dysfunction would be a promising adjuvant therapy for *** adhesion molecule CD146 has been reported to be expressed in both endothelial cells and proinflammatory immune cells and mediates ***,we demonstrate that CD146 expressed on BBB endothelial cells but not immune cells is a novel therapeutic target in a mouse model of experimental cerebral malaria(eCM).Endothelial CD146 is upregulated during eCM development and facilitates the sequestration of infected red blood cells(RBCs)and/or proinflammatory lymphocytes in CNS blood vessels,thereby promoting the disruption of BBB *** studies showed that the interaction of CD146 and Galectin-9 contributes to the aggregation of infected RBCs and *** of endothelial CD146 or treatment with the anti-CD146 antibody AA98 prevents severe signs of eCM,such as limb paralysis,brain vascular leakage,and *** addition,AA98 combined with the antiparasitic drug artemether improved the cognition and memory of mice with *** together,our findings suggest that endothelial CD146 is a novel and promising target in combination with antiparasitic drugs for future CM therapies.

Considering medical and economic burden of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19), a high COVID-19 vaccination coverage among healthcare workers(HCWs) is an urgent need. The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to evaluate the intention of HCWs to accept COVID-19 vaccination and to identify related factors. We searched Pub Med, MEDLINE, Scopus, Web of Science, Pro Quest, CINAHL and med Rxiv until July 14, 2021. The heterogeneity between results was very high;thus, we applied a random effects model to estimate pooled effects. We performed subgroup and meta-regression analysis to identify possible resources of heterogeneity. Twenty four studies, including 50 940 HCWs, met the inclusion criteria. The overall proportion of HCWs that intend to accept COVID-19 vaccination was 63.5%(95% confidence interval: 56.5%-70.2%) with a wide range among studies from 27.7% to 90.1%. The following factors were associated with increased HCWs’ willingness to get vaccinated against COVID-19: male gender, older age, white HCWs, physician profession, higher education level, comorbidity among HCWs, vaccination against flu during previous season, stronger vaccine confidence, positive attitude towards a COVID-19 vaccine, fear about COVID-19, individual perceived risk about COVID-19, and contact with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 patients. The reluctance of HCWs to vaccinate against COVID-19 could diminish the trust of individuals and trigger a ripple effect in the general public. Since vaccination is a complex behavior, understanding the way that HCWs take the decision to accept or refuse COVID-19 vaccination will give us the opportunity to develop the appropriate interventions to increase COVID-19 vaccination uptake.

Fruit cultivation is one of the major cash crops in *** production in China has increased since the early ?*** to be particular has increased in production since 2014,China being the second producer of citrus fruits in the *** orange production has dropped in the result of the continuing impacts of citrus diseases such as citrus greening *** have been several ways to detect the diseases which includes diagnosing or sometimes guessing about the disease by using experience which is mostly done visually by humans which come with errors and wastage of time but with the advancements of digital technology,it becomes easy to identify plant disease with image processing *** thesis proposes a method to identify disease symptoms in navel oranges? leaves using images obtained in real conditions of the *** approach proposed consists of the following steps;image segmentation,feature extraction followed by training and *** on color spaces of images were carried out to obtain the best threshold for segmenting diseased parts of the ***,texture,and local features are used for training multiple classifiers and finally,classification is done to detect the disease if *** approach is then tested on the identification of two common diseases affecting the navel oranges of Jiangxi;Citrus Greening and Citrus Canker and the accuracy achieved was 91% by Random Forest and K-Neural Network classifiers.

本研究的重点是研究比较中国和肯尼亚的商业建筑所采用的可持续建筑技术方法,确定规划和现有的可持续建筑之间的差距,审查商业建筑中采用的可持续建筑具体实践情况,以确定实施可持续建筑技术的适当方法。该研究分析了中国和肯尼亚的4座商业建筑的数据。通过对这4座建筑的住户和维修人员进行问卷调查、实地调查和查阅现有文献、期刊和书籍的方法,获得了研究数据。调查模式兼具定性与定量特点。研究发现,规划中的绿色建筑与现有绿色建筑之间存在着微不足道的差距。人们认同可持续建筑在节约能源和保护环境的同时具有调节热舒适的能力。同时,居住者也对可持续建筑所提供的声学和视觉环境舒适感度到满意。然而,一些使用者对他们办公室的颜色不满意。该研究还指出,两国可持续建筑的可接受性标准存在一致性,但肯尼亚建筑物的利用率一般不高。本研究的结果基于肯尼亚和中国本土建筑的可持续性特征比较,将提供给建筑、建造和工程领域有价值的知识。本文因评估了肯尼亚和中国可持续建筑技术的最重大挑战,研究成果也将成为未来建筑研究领域相关文献的一部分。

Due to the increasing of video surveillance system requirements, Intelligent video surveillance system has become challenging topic in computer vision research field. There are four key steps in intelligent video surveillance system, i.e. object detection, object classification, object tracking, and object analysis. Among these steps, object tracking is considered as crucial and significant task in intelligent video surveillance system. Object tracking is considered as difficult task because of several problems such as illumination variation, tracking non-rigid object, non-linear motion, occlusion, and requirement of real time implementation. Therefore it is necessary to build a visual object tracking algorithm which can overcome these *** single algorithm in visual object tracking always has both strengths and drawbacks. Therefore, utilizing only one single algorithm for tracking usually is considered as inefficient because every single algorithm has limitations. Based on this reason, in this thesis a tracking algorithm which combines mean-shift and particle-Kalman filter is proposed. In the proposed method, mean-shift is used as master tracker when the target object is not occluded. When occlusion is occurred or the mean-shift tracking result is not convincing, particle-Kalman filter will act as master tracker to improve the tracking results. Experimental shows that the proposed method can work well in dealing with tracking problems such as non-rigid object, occlusion, non-linear motion, and more suitable for real time implementation compare to the conventional algorithms.

In this work, the effect of the presence of nickel and lead in thermal decomposition of olive tree pruning (OTP), OTP-char and OTP-ashes was studied by thermogravimetry. Experiments were conducted in two kinds of atmosphere (nitrogen atmosphere and oxidizing atmosphere with 20% of O2) at a heating rate of 10 ℃/min. This investigation describes the chemical, physical and fuel properties of the OTP, which shows a similar composition to other lignocellulosic materials such as hazelnut husk and wood sawdust. In addition, SEM analysis indicated that OTP-char surface is higher than OTP surface with plenty of holes and channels. It makes the char an ideal support for metal retention specially for Pb metal (OTP retained 8.55 mg/g whereas OTP char retained 11.57 mg/g). On the other hand, metal retention occurred by adsorption or ion exchange, according to the IR spectrum of the samples. The results of thermogravimetric tests proved that the presence of lead did not have a strong effect on the decomposition of the samples, since TG and DTG curves were very similar. However, nickel increased the mass loss rate, accelerating the decomposition process, showing higher peaks in DTG curves. Additionally, for temperatures higher than 360 ℃, the volatilization of the samples was improved in the nickel-polluted sample, achieving a higher mass loss, getting more energy from the biomass and reducing the quantity of residues left after the process.
