The onset of the movement of particles placed on a horizontal rough surface subject to a vertical sinusoidal vibration is investigated through tracking experiments,theoretical analysis,and numerical simulations. The frequency of vibration needed to move particles decays exponentially with the amplitude of the oscillatory *** behavior is explained through a simple mechanism in which a forced damped harmonic oscillator with a spring constant represents all the interactions between the particle and the *** numerical results compare well with experimental data,demonstrating that the forces included in the numerical calculations suitably account for the main particle response,even though the complexity of the surface is not fully taken into *** the way in which frequency varies with amplitude could be relevant to technological applications such as cleaning of material surfaces.

Objectives:To test hypothesized associations between the ABO blood group(ABO-bg)system and the pathological features of prostate cancer(PCa).Material and methods:Between January 2013 and September 2019,1173 patients underwent radical *** between ABO-bg levels and pathological features were evaluated using statistical ***:Overall,1149 consecutive patients were evaluated using the ABO-bg system,which was represented by O-bg(42.8%)and A-bg(41.3%),followed by B-bg(11.1%)and AB-bg(4.8%).Only positive surgical margins(PSMs)was correlated with ABO-bg(Pearson correlation coefficient,r=0.071;p=0.017),and the risk was increased in group-O(odds ratio[OR],1.497;95%confidence interval,1.149-1.950;p=0.003)versus *** clinical and pathological models,O-bg was at increased risk of PSM after the adjustment for prostate-specific antigen,percentage of biopsy-positive cores,and high surgical volume(adjusted OR,1.546;95%confidence interval,1.180-2.026;p=0.002);however,the adjusted OR did not change after the adjustment for tumor load and stage as well as high surgical ***:In clinical PCa,the risk of PSM was higher in O-bg versus non-O-bg patients after the adjustment for standard *** studies are needed to confirm the association between ABO-bg and unfavorable PCa features.

Sustainable Development of Ecotourism in Mexico

Dimensions of sustainable development were analyzed based on the commonality, services, and ecotourism activities of 35 indigenous communities in Mexico. Based on indicators of local development in indigenous communities with ecotourism activities available and environmental indicators given by the Ministry of Tourism of Mexico SECTUR and of communitarian sustainability developed in Mexico. Data from a 118 items questionnaire from inhabitants participating in ecotourism projects of indigenous groups within 13 states of the Mexican Republic were tested. The results showed the definition of five categories of local development, two environmental categories, and four categories of communitarian sustainability in the Mexican states with the largest indigenous populations. A positive relationship between the community perspective and the indigenous ecotourism and the three dimensions of sustainable development was observed. This study provides an alternative methodology for the analysis of the sustainable development dimensions in projects of indigenous communities.
