Analysis of Sheep Lymphocyte Chromosomal Aberrations after Exposition to Chlortetracycline

Tetracyclines are broad spectrum antibiotics and one type of various their compounds—chlortetracycline has been successfully used for our cytogenetic studies. We have selected for these studies the chromosomal assay because it is wellknown cytogenetic biomarker, which has been used to assess DNA damage at the chromosomal level. We analyzed the chromosomal aberrations and mitotic index in peripheral lymphocytes of sheep exposed by chlortetracycline chloride in pure tap water. To the food of the experimental group of animals (à n = 6) were added also 0.35 gof preparation Aureovit12 C80 plv. a. u. v. per kg b. w. and day (i.e. 168 mg of chlortetracycline hydrochloride/kg b. w.) daily in food. The frequencies of aberrant cells (ABC) in the experimental and control groups of sheep were stated to differ significantly (P = 0.001). In experimental group, chromatid breaks were the dominant type of chromosomal aberrations. No statistical differences in mitotic index values were found in the both groups (P > 0.05). Increased frequencies of chromosome aberrations in peripheral lymphocytes of sheep exposed by chlortetracycline in food, suggested a potential hazard which needs the attention from the viewpoint of human and animal health. This knowledge is useful for all, for the human and veterinary medicine, as well as for the aquaculture. Many of these chlortetracycline substances for their environmental persistence and chemical unstability are present in the environment for various periods, and as a result, they are responsible for several effects on human and animal health through food chain.

Characteristics of the Sertoli Cells of Salmonidae from Ohrid Lake during Spermatogenesis-Ultrastructural Analysis

Ultrastructual characteristics of Sertoli cells of Salmonidae from Ohrid Lake during the spermatogenetic cycle have been analysed. Sertoli cells being an integral part of the seminiferous lobules underwent considerable changes, which influenced their cytomorphological features. The degenerative changes of Sertoli cells were manifested by an extreme vacuolisation, mitochondria in degeneration with widened crysts and thickened matrix, desorganised ER, autophagosomes, ＂myeline-like＂ structures and lysed cytoplasmic regions. The above mentioned changes were followed by karyopycnisis, comlete degeneration and delamination of cells from the wall of the seminiferous lobules, lysis and detritus formations （Sertoli necrotic material） in the lumen of the lobules. The aim of this paper is special research of the ultrastructural characteristics, i.e. the changes on a level with testes which happen in the postspawning period in the two species of Teleostei of Ohrid Lake, Ohrid trout （Salmo letnica Kar.） and Ohrid belvica （Acantholingua ochridana Steind.）. The postspawning period is emphasized in Teleostei in this relatively short period, when one reproductive cycle finishes and the following has to start, on a level of testicular parenhyma very important histological changes are going on which give special histological identification, i. e. in the postspawning period there is a complete reorganization of the testes.

Comparative study of microwave-assisted versus conventional heated reactions of biomass conversion into levulinic acid over hierarchical Mn_(3)O_(4)/ZSM-5 zeolite catalysts

Conversion of delignified cellulose from rice husk biomass,and model compounds of cellobiose and glucose to levulinic acid(LA)over hierarchical Mn_(3)O_(4)/ZSM-5 catalyst was carried out using a household microwave method,and then compared to the established conventional thermos-reaction *** hierarchical ZSM-5 was prepared using a double template method,aiming for micro and mesoporous systems developed in the *** as-prepared ZSM-5 were modified with Mn3O4 through incipient wetness impregnation with Mn2+solution followed by calcination at 550℃.The catalysts were characterized using various techniques such as powder XRD,SEM,BET,AAS,and FT-IR which indicated the hierarchical structure of MFI zeolite(Si/Al of 30-34)with Mn loading of 2.14 wt%.The conversion products were analyzed using HPLC,1H NMR,and 13C NMR *** microwave-assisted reaction using 600 W for 180 s using delignified cellulose,cellobiose,and glucose gave conversion of 37.27%,46.35%,and 54.29%,respectively which is close to the conversion given by the conventional reaction carried out at 130◦C for 4 h(36.75%,55.62%,and 60.9%,respectively).Interestingly,the LA yield from the microwave-assisted reaction(4.33%,6.12%,and 9.57%)is higher than the yield from the conventional reaction,which only produced 5.2%,4.88%,and 6.93%*** microwaveassisted method is also shown to give less by-products compared to the thermochemical ***,it could be considered an alternative method for converting cellulose to LA.

"波中/中波词典的新型编纂方法研究"这个题目是伴随计算机技术的发展而产生的。计算机技术能够加快词典的编纂速度,优化词典的编纂流程,甚至彻底改变词典的编纂模式。这种情况的出现至今还不超过30年。30年以前,计算机技术的发展水平还不足以支持现代词典编纂方式的存在。关于使用现代方法编纂词典已经被很多国际专家研究和讨论过。在中国也有一些相关的研究成果。例如广东外语外贸大学的章宜华教授就曾在2013年出版《计算词典学与新型词典》,系统讨论计算机对各种词典的支持以及各种电子词典的特点。然而,无论是在中国、波兰,还是在世界其他地方,都还没有人就波中和中波词典编纂中的现代方法进行研究。本论文作者长期参与中波/波中网络词典的构建工作,并曾在网络词典的基础上,于2015年正式出版了《波汉-汉波商务词典》(波汉出版社)。在此过程中,本人对如何利用互联网,提高波中/中波词典编纂效率,有着大量第一手的、直观的经验和体会。本论文的正文分为六部分,分别是:前言、词典学理论概述(第一章)、波中/中波词典编纂历史与现状(第二章)、波中/中波词典编纂中的现代方法运用(第三章)和波中/中波词典编纂传统与现代方法述评(第四章)、结论。在前言部分,本人主要对论文的选题背景、选题意义,目前在世界范围内此课题的研究情况等问题进行了探讨。在第一章中,本人对词典学的一些基本理论、词典的分类、词典的传统编纂方法以及当代最新词典编纂方法进行了简要的概述。在第二章中,本人对中波语言交流史,中波/波中词典编纂历史与现状以及当前中波/波中词典编纂需求等问题进行了系统的考察。在第三章中,本人对目前存在的几种比较成功的中波/波中网络词典进行了研究,分析了它们各自的特点和问题。在第四章中,本人基于前面的介绍,分析了新型词典编纂方式的优缺点。在结论部分,对文章的整体进行回顾和总结,提出自己关于中波/波中新型词典编纂方式的具体建议。

“AniFair”:A GUI Based Software Tool for Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis--An Example of Assessing Animal Welfare

Multi-criteria decision analysis deals with decision problems in which multiple criteria need to be considered. The criteria might be measured on different scales so that comparability is difficult. One approach to help the user to organize the problem and to reflect on his or her assessment on the decision is Measuring Attractiveness by a Categorical Based Evaluation TecHnique (MACBETH). Here the user needs to provide qualitative judgment about differences of attractiveness regarding pairs of options. MACBETH was implemented in the M-MACBETH software using the additive aggregation model. The present article introduces the software tool “AniFair” which combines the MACBETH approach with the Choquet integral as an aggregation function, because the Choquet integral enables the modeling of interaction between criteria. With the Choquet integral, the user can define constraints on the relative importance of criteria (Shapley value) and the interaction between criteria. In contrast to M-MACBETH, with every instance of “AniFair” the user is made available at least two aggregation level. “AniFair” provides Graphical User Interfaces for the entering of information. The software tool is introduced via an example from the Welfare Quality Assessment protocol for pigs. With this, “AniFair” is applied to real data that were collected from thirteen farms in Northern Germany by an animal welfare expert. The “AniFair” results enabled a division of the farms into five groups of comparable performance concerning the welfare principle “Good feeding”. Hereby, the results differed in how much the interaction between criteria contributed to the Choquet integral values. The shares varied from 5% to 55%. With this, the vulnerability of aggregation results towards relative importance of and interaction between criteria was stressed, as changes in the ranking due to the definition of constraints could be shown. All results were exported to human readable txt or csv files for further analyses

Impact of the residues of detergents and disinfectants used in dairy farms on the results of inhibitor tests for raw milk

The aim of the study was to determine the impact of residues of detergents and disinfectants on the results of most commonly used inhibitor tests for raw milk. Microbiological test (Delvotest SP-NT) and three rapid tests (Charm 3 MRL BL/TET2, Charm ROSA MRL BL/TET and Penzym) were used in the study. Three concentrations (recommended by the manufacturer, 10 times lower and twice higher) of 36 detergents and disinfectants in raw milk were investigated. All methods did not detect concentrations of detergents and disinfectants of alkaline and acid origin 10 times lower than recommended by the manufacturer. 39% of the investigated substances of alkaline origin were detected by Delvotest SP-NT and Penzym;Charm tests showed non-typical results only. Delvotest SP-NT did not detect substances of acid origin;Penzym detected 50% of these substances, Charm tests showed only non-typical results. Delvotest SP-NT and Penzym appeared to be more sensitive to the substances used for teat hygiene and disinfection. The scope of rapid tests (receptor or enzymatic) does not cover the detection of detergent and disinfectant re- sidues in milk. However, according to the non-typical results of the test, it is possible to suspect the presence of these substances in milk. McNemar’s and Cochran’s Q tests were used for statistical analysis of the data.

BACKGROUND The global outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)leads to the development of accessible and cost-effective rapid antigen-detection tests(RATs),as quick and accurate diagnosis is crucial to curb the *** To evaluate the Humasis COVID-19 Ag Test(Humasis Co.,Ltd.,Gyeonggi-do,Republic of Korea)in the diagnosis of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2(SARS-CoV-2).METHODS This retrospective study was carried out at the Croatian Institute of Public Health and included patients with clinical symptoms of COVID-19 lasting no longer than 5 d prior to testing,whose nasopharyngeal swabs were primarily tested with *** RAT samples underwent confirmatory real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).Diagnostic efficacy was determined compared to *** patients were divided into three age groups(65 years).Statistical analysis was performed with the significance level set at P<*** total,2490 symptomatic patients were tested;953 samples were positive on RAT,and 1537 *** negative RAT samples were subjected to RT-PCR;266 samples were positive andmarked as false-negative results on *** calculated negative predictive value as a measure ofRAT efficacy was 82.69%.The χ^(2) test and Kruskal-Wallis test showed a significant difference in theproportion of false negatives(P<0.001)and RT-PCR cycle(Ct)values for false-negative RATs(P=0.012)among the age *** young age group was significantly less likely to be falsenegative,whereas the false negatives from the elderly group experienced significantly lower Ctvalues than the other two age *** RAT demonstrated satisfactory performance with more reliable results in *** COVID-19 Ag RAT is potentially a valuable tool in areas where access tomolecular methods is limited;however,RT-PCR remains a gold standard for SARS-CoV-2detection.

The Elderly Health Office- Public Health Respond to the Ageing Challenge

Introduction： Demographic structure in Belgrade is regressive biological type with 16.4% of the Elderly in whole population. Addressing this fact Public Health Institute of City of Belgrade in 2008 established the EHO （Elderly Health Office）. Aim： This paper emphasizes the importance of Public Health response to ageing population challenges. Method： This public health study is retrospective review based on work of EHO from 2008 to 2017 year. Results： Numerous health promotion activities were performed by EHO： development guidelines for elderly care services coordination as well as for effective communication within health care system; development of age-friendly web portal; cooperation with the mass media; building partnership with representatives of the state- and private-owned facilities and NGOs （non-governmental organizations）; support to strengthening inter-generation cooperation; promotion of elderly age-friendly phone line; organizing and participation in public health events, meetings and conferences. EHO participated in evaluation capacities of healthcare in Belgrade, regarding human resources, equipment and facilities, and monitoring elderly health status. Conclusions： The role of the EHO oflPHB is：（1） support to active, healthy, productive ageing of the citizens of Belgrade; （2） strategic planning of the Elderly health care; （3） strengthening of intersectional cooperation. Measures suggested： Public Health approach of EHO is response to challenges of ageing population and potential model for age oriented program management.
