Objective:This study evaluates the community-based intervention of chronic disease management(CDM)through the Integrated Non-Communicable Diseases Health Post(Posbindu-NCD)conducted by a community of health workers(CHWs)in Indonesia’s rural ***:A cohor t retrospective study evaluated 577 par ticipants from Posbindu-NCD in 7 public health centers(PHCs)in *** of intervention of CDM for Posbindu-NCD was included,identified risk factors to NCDs,and provided counselling education and other follow-ups based on interviews and measurement results from the five Desk systems that recorded in a medical record as a form of the monthly activity report each the first month,the 6 months,and the 12th ***:There were statistically significant differences for alcohol consumed and diabetes mellites(χ^(2)=10.455;P=0.001).There were significant differences on gender(χ^(2)=3.963;P=0.047),on ethnicity(χ^(2)=19.873;P<0.001),and *** addition,there were also significant differences on ethnicity(χ^(2)=15.307;P<0.001),vegetable consumption(χ^(2)=4.435;P=0.035),physical exercise(χ^(2)=6.328;P=0.012),and the current diseases of hypercholesterolemia of par *** thermore,the survival rate among patients who have overweight,abdominal overweight,hyper tension,diabetes mellitus,and hypercholesterolemia increased among par ticipants who regularly visited Posbindu-NCD compared with the non-regularly ***:The CDM program’s community-based intervention through Posbindu-NCD conducted by CHWs improved survival rates in Indonesia’s rural ***,this program can be fur ther developed in conducting CDM in the community with the active involvement of CHWs so that the community becomes active regularly in par ticipating in Posbindu-NCD activities in rural areas of Indonesia.

Antimicrobial and antioxidant properties of medicinal plants used by the Bentian tribe from Indonesia

Some selected medicinal plants used by Bentian tribe from Indonesia were evaluated for potential antimicrobial and antioxidant *** leaves stem bark and root of the plants were extracted with n-hexane,ethyl acetate and ethanol to give respective *** activity against Propionibacterium acnes and Candida albicans was determined by an agar well diffusion *** activity was assayed by the DPPH radical scavenging activity *** results showed that n-hexane,ethyl acetate and ethanol extracts of Cananga odorata,ethanolic extract of Chromolaena odorata,and ethanolic extracts of Hyptis capitata and Ampelocissus cinnamomeae displayed good activity against *** at 25–400μg/well of the extracts *** n-hexane and ethanol extracts of Chromolaena odorata and ***,and the n-hexane,ethyl acetate and ethanol extracts of Cananga odorata displayed more activity against *** than others at 25–400μg/well of the extracts *** most antioxidant activities against DPPH were displayed by the ethanol extracts of Ficus variegata stem bark,Leucosyke quadrinerva root and Clausena excavata leaves exhibiting 91%,91%and 86%inhibition,*** present results showed potential of some medicinal plants used by Bentian tribe from Indonesia as natural anti-microbial and anti-oxidant and potentially anti-inflammatory agents.

Heart Disease Classification Using Multiple K-PCA and Hybrid Deep Learning Approach

One of the severe health problems and the most common types of heartdisease (HD) is Coronary heart disease (CHD). Due to the lack of a healthy lifestyle, HD would cause frequent mortality worldwide. If the heart attack occurswithout any symptoms, it cannot be cured by an intelligent detection *** effective diagnosis and detection of CHD should prevent human ***, intelligent systems employ clinical-based decision support approachesto assist physicians in providing another option for diagnosing and detecting *** paper aims to introduce a heart disease prediction model including phaseslike (i) Feature extraction, (ii) Feature selection, and (iii) Classification. At first,the feature extraction process is carried out, where the features like a time-domainindex, frequency-domain index, geometrical domain features, nonlinear features,WT features, signal energy, skewness, entropy, kurtosis features are extractedfrom the input ECG signal. The curse of dimensionality becomes a severe *** paper provides the solution for this issue by introducing a new ModifiedPrincipal Component Analysis known as Multiple Kernel-based PCA for dimensionality reduction. Furthermore, the dimensionally reduced feature set is thensubjected to a classification process, where the hybrid classifier combining bothRecurrent Neural Network (RNN) and Restricted Boltzmann Machine (RBM)is used. Study of the safety of oral Triphala aqueous extract on healthy volunteers

The natural convection from a vertical hot plate with radiation and constant flux is studied numerically to know the velocity and temperature distribution characteristics over a vertical hot *** governing equations of the natural convection in two-dimension are solved with the implicit finite difference method,whereas the discretized equations are solved with the iterative relaxation *** results show that the velocity and the temperature increase along the vertical *** influence of the radiation parameter in the boundary layer is significant in increasing the velocity and temperature *** velocity profiles increase with the increase of the radiation *** temperature profiles near the wall plate parallel each other due to the constant heat flux applied to the *** influence of the radiation parameter is significant either in velocity or temperature *** the same time,the effect of the Prandtl number greater than 0.71 is not sensitive to the velocity and temperature variations elsewhere.
