The aim of this research is to demonstrate a novel scheme for approximating the Riemann-Liouville fractional integral *** would be achieved by first establishing a fractional-order version of the 2-point Trapezoidal rule and then by proposing another fractional-order version of the(n+1)-composite Trapezoidal *** particular,the so-called divided-difference formula is typically employed to derive the 2-point Trapezoidal rule,which has accordingly been used to derive a more accurate fractional-order formula called the(n+1)-composite Trapezoidal ***,in order to increase the accuracy of the proposed approximations by reducing the true errors,we incorporate the so-called Romberg integration,which is an extrapolation formula of the Trapezoidal rule for integration,into our proposed *** numerical examples are provided and compared with a modern definition of the Riemann-Liouville fractional integral operator to illustrate the efficacy of our scheme.

Background:Aspergillus fumigatus(Af)is one of the most ubiquitous fungi and its infection potency is suggested to be strongly controlled by the host genetic *** aim of this study was to search for candidate genes associated with host susceptibility to Aspergillus fumigatus(Af)using an RNAseq approach in CC lines and hepatic gene ***:We studied 31 male mice from 25 CC lines at 8 weeks old;the mice were infected with *** tissues were extracted from these mice 5 days post-infection,and next-generation RNA-sequencing(RNAseq)was *** GENE-E analysis platform was used to generate a clustered heat map ***:Significant variation in body weight changes between CC lines was *** gene expression revealed 12 top prioritized candidate genes differ-entially expressed in resistant versus susceptible mice based on body weight ***,three candidate genes are located within genomic intervals of the previ-ously mapped quantitative trait loci(QTL),including Gm16270 and Stox1 on chromo-some 10 and Gm11033 on chromosome ***:Our findings emphasize the CC mouse model's power in fine mapping the genetic components underlying susceptibility towards *** a next step,eQTL analysis will be performed for our RNA-Seq *** candidate genes from our study will be further assessed with a human cohort with aspergillosis.

针对现有软体气动机器人制备成本高、设计灵活性差、功率密度低、控制技术复杂等问题,文章以鞘芯结构的涤纶∕氨纶弹性纱为基材编织针织罗纹组织,以涤纶纱为纬向衬垫纱间隔织入,形成力学各向异性的针织衬纬组织,并将该衬纬组织作为包覆层与气囊内胆装配,实现具有高致动应变、低能量耗散的高性能纺织基气动机器人开发。文章通过力学性能和驱动变形测试,表征分析了衬纬组织织物层的各向异性力学特征和针脚排列方式等因素对软体机器人驱动性能、变形特征、输出力和运动状态的影响规律。结果表明:纺织基软体机器人展现了优良的弯曲应变(弯曲曲率可达0.27 cm^(-1)),高的驱动力输出(13 N∕kg)。此外,开发的纺织基气动机器人具有低成本、设计灵活快捷、操控简单等优势,可通过编织结构设计和针脚方向的配置实现多模式的复杂变形,在可穿戴医疗康复训练设备和软体抓取器件等领域具有可观的应用前景。

Assessment of the ballistic response of honeycomb sandwich structures subjected to offset and normal impact

In the present study,experimental and numerical investigations were carried out to examine the behavior of sandwich panels with honeycomb *** high velocity impact tests were carried out using a compressed air gun.A sharp conical nosed projectile was impacted normally and with some offset distance(20 mm and 40 mm).The deformation,failure mode and energy dissipation characteristics were obtained for both kinds of ***,the explicit solver was run in Abaqus to create the finite element *** numerically obtained test results were compared with the experimental to check the accuracy of the *** numerical result was further employed to obtain strain energy dissipation in each element by externally running user-defined code in ***,the influence of inscribe circle diameter and cell wall and face sheet thickness on the energy dissipation,deformation and failure mode was *** result found that ballistic resistance and deformation were higher against offset impact compared to the normal impact *** panel impacted at 40 mm offset distance required 3 m/s and 1.9 m/s more velocity than 0 and 20 mm offset ***,increasing the face sheet and wall thickness had a positive impact on the ballistic resistance in terms of a higher ballistic limit and energy ***,inscribe circle diameter had a negative influence on the ballistic ***,the geometrical parameters of the sandwich structure had a significant influence on the energy dissipation in the different deformation *** energy dissipation in plastic work was highest for circumferential direction,regardless of impact condition followed by tangential,radial and axial directions.

In a hard chromium electroplating process, a heat exchanger is employed to remove the heat produced from the high current intensity in an electroplating ***, a conventional U shape heat exchanger is installed in the bath, but it provides low heat ***, this study designs a novel W serpentine shape heat exchanger with identical heat transfer area to the conventional one for increasing heat removal *** performance of the heat exchange is tested with various flow velocities in a cross-section in range of 1.6 to 2.4 m·s^(-1).mathematical models of this process have been formulated in order to simulate and evaluate the heat exchanger *** results show that the developed models give a good prediction of the plating solution and cooling water temperature, and the novel heat exchanger provides better results at any flow *** addition, the W serpentine shape heat exchanger has been implemented in a real hard chromium electroplating *** data collected have shown that the new design gives higher heat removal performance compared with the U shape heat exchanger with identical heat transfer area; it removes more heat out of the process than the conventional one of about 23%.

There is growing concern that increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere have been responsible for global warming through their effect on radiation balance and temperature. The magnitude of emissions and the relative importance of different sources vary widely, regionally and locally. The Indus Basin of Pakistan is the food basket of the country and agricultural activities are vulnerable to the effects of global warming due to accelerated emissions of GHGs. many developments have taken place in the agricultural sector of Pakistan in recent decades in the background of the changing role of the government and the encouragement of the private sector for investment in new ventures. These interventions have considerable GHG emission potential. Unfortunately, no published information is currently available on GHG concentrations in the Indus Basin to assess their magnitude and emission trends. The present study is an attempt to estimate GHG （CO2, CH4 and N2O） emissions arising from different agro-ecosystems of Indus Basin. The GHGs were estimated mostly using the IPCC Guidelines and data from the published literature. The results showed that CH4 emissions were the highest （4.126 Tg yr^-1） followed by N20 （0.265 Tg yr^-1） and CO2 （52.6 Tg yr^-1）. The sources of CH4 are enteric fermentation, rice cultivation and cultivation of other crops. N2O is formed by microbial denitrification of NO3 produced from applied fertilizer-N on cropped soils or by mineralization of native organic matter on fallow soils. CO2 is formed by the burning of plant residue and by soil respiration due to the decomposition of soil organic matter.

We employ ab-initio calculations to analyze the mechanical, electronic, optical and also thermoelectric properties associated with AGeO3（A = Ca, Sr） compounds. The full-potential linearized augmented plane wave（FP-LAPW） technique in the generalized gradient approximation（GGA-PBEsol） and the lately designed Tran-Blaha-modified Becke-Johnson exchange potential are utilized to examine the mechanical and optoelectronic properties respectively. To explore the thermoelectric quality, we use the semi-classical Boltzmann transport theory. The particular structural stabilities regarding AGeO3（A = Ca, Sr） materials are validated simply by computations from the elastic constants. The energy band structural framework and the density of states are displayed to indicate indirect bandgap under ambient conditions. The particular computed optical attributes that reveal prospective optoelectronic applications are usually elucidated simply by studying ε1（0） and also Eg, which can be connected by means of Penn＇s design. The optical details uncover the actual suitability to power ranging products. Finally, the Boltz Tra P code is executed to analyze the actual thermoelectric properties, which usually presents that the increase of internal temperatures can enhance the electric conductivity, thermal conductivity and also the power factor, whilst Seebeck coefficient decreases. Therefore, the studied materials will also be ideal for thermoelectric products to understand helpful option for alternative energy resources.

Designing and synthesis of cost effective bulk metallic glasses （BmGs） has been of considerable interest during the last decade so that they can be made commercially viable. Among these, Zr-based BmGs have been reported extensively due to their attractive properties, An alloy having composition Zr65Cu18Ni9A18 was designed and synthesized using 2-3 N pure materials by Cu mould casting. The alloy was characterized by X- ray diffraction （XRD）, scanning electron microscopy （SEm）, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDS） and high temperature differential scanning calorimetry （DSC）. Thermal parameters like supercooled liquid region △Tx, reduced glass transition temperature Trg, γ and δ parameters were evaluated. mechanical properties like microhardness, nanohardness, elastic modulus and fracture strength were measured. The alloy showed wide supercooled liquid region of 129＋1 K with improved thermal stability. The alloy has considerable fracture strength along with fair amount of ductility.

The response of biological phantoms against high velocity impact is actively sought for applications in defense,space,soft robotics and *** this end,we study the ballistic response of silicone based skin simulant against fragment *** a pneumatic gas gun setup,six chisel-nosed and three regular shaped(sphere,cylinder,and cube)fragments were impacted on the skin *** resulting skin simulant response was studied in terms of ballistic limit velocities,energy densities,failure pattern,and the mechanics of *** results indicate that the shape of the fragment affects the ballistic limit *** ballistic limit velocities,energy densities of the chisel-nosed fragment simulating projectiles were relatively insensitive to the size(mass),except for the smallest(0.16 g)and largest(2.79 g)chisel-nosed *** the same size(1 g),ballistic limit velocities and failure are dependent on the shape of the *** skin simulant failed by combined plugging and elastic hole *** in the spherical fragment was dominated by the elastic hole enlargement,whereas plugging failure was dominant in all other *** spherical,cylindrical,and chisel-nosed fragments created circular cavities,and the cubical fragment created a square *** the case of the spherical fragment,slipping of the fragment within the skin simulant was *** fragments created lateral cracks emanating from the corners of the square ***,for all the fragments,the maximum deformation corresponding to the perforation was lower than the non-perforation indicating rate dependent,stress driven *** maximum deformation was also dependent on the shape of the ***,these results provide unique insights into the mechanical response of a soft simulant against ballistic *** have utility in the calibration and validation of computational models,design of personal protective equipment,and antipersonnel syste
