In this research, some of site and silvicultural characteristics of Yew stand in northern forests of Iran was studied. For this purpose, compartment number 16 of district 4 Shir-ghalaye was selected. According to research purposes, stands with an area of 20 ha were chosen in center of the compartment and was separated from map. Due to restricted area of region and according to few number of Yew trees in the stand, the full-callipering method was conducted for measuring quantitative and qualitative characteristics. In the stand diameter at breast height （D.B.H.）, height and canopy diameter of all Yew trees were measured. The results showed that the diameter distribution curve and height distribution curve of Yew trees were similar to even-age forests curve. But according to average annual increment, mixture type of Yew trees in stand, diameter distribution of other species and low rate regeneration of Yew, it can be concluded that the studied Yew stand, is an uneven-age stand and because of low rate regeneration in previous years the number of young Yew trees were reduced and even-age forest curve was formed subsequently. The maximum height and diameter of Yew trees were recorded 26.8 m and 112 cm, respectively. Also, the number of trees per hectare and basal area per hectare of Yew trees were calculated 14.55 and 3.23 m2 respectively.

The human head is one of the most sensitive parts of human body due to the fact that it contains brain. Any abnormality in the functioning of brain may disturb the entire system. One of the disturbing factors of brain is thermal stress. Thus, it is imperative to study the effects of thermal stress on human head at various environmental conditions. For the thermoregulation process, the human head is considered to be a structure of four layers viz.; brain, cerebrospinal fluid （CSF）, skull and scalp. A mathematical model has been formulated to estimate the variation of temperature at these layers. The model is based on radial form of bio-heat equation with the appropriate boundary conditions and has been solved by variational finite element method. The rate of metabolic heat gen- eration and thermal conductivity in this study have been assumed to be heterogeneous. The results were compared with the experimental studies for their coincidence and it has been observed theoretically and experimentally that the human head has greater resistance to compete with the thermal stress up to large extent.

Oscillator circuit has the significant role to always repeat the same signal at the output after certain time interval. In quantum computing, intensity and phase of light signal can be made oscillatory at the output of a quantum optical oscillator circuit. In this paper, we have implemented quantum optical tristate oscillator circuits based on tristate Pauli-X, Y and Z gates using phase and intensity encoding technique of light signal. Here, three different oscillator circuits are developed. The phase of light signal is chosen as the oscillating parameter in all proposed circuits. The truth tables and oscillating phase diagrams are also shown for each oscillator circuit in this paper. The operation of one of the oscillator circuits is simulated with MATLAB to prove its feasibility.

In order to study the fitting of some characteristics like low diameter at breast height （DBH）, the height and height to the beginning of crown of the Oak species in two man-made and natural forests of this species in north of Guilan＇s forests, Tooshi and Radarposhte forests were selected. A 100% inventory was done on a one-hectare sample plot in Tooshi man-made forests and on a two-hectare sample plot in Radarposhte natural forests. The results from this study showed that, in order to fit the diameter and the height of the Oak trees in man-made stands, Johnson＇s SB and normal statistical distributions have more capabilities and the three-parameter gamma and the three- parameter Weibull distributions are appropriate for diameters and heights of the natural Oak trees in Radarposhte forest, respectively.

This paper deals with two novel structures for mobile robots. The original inspiration of the robots comes from a sala- mander and a specific kind of spiders. Our robots have some especial moving capabilities causing to increase the robot ma- neuverability. Indeed, the capability of rolling motion is added to ordinary quadruped robots. This capability causes increment in maneuvering of the robots. Manipulators can be embedded into the robots to add the ability of transferring materials into the shell and conducting some tasks such as repairing. In this paper, after analysis of motion principles of the rolling robots, their dynanlic equations are derived. Different simulations of two bioinspired mobile robots are presented in order to scrutinize various capabilities of the proposed designs. Walking capabilities of the robots and their advantages are discussed in detail. The comprehensive simulation results of the robots in various motion modes are presented. Finally the first prototype is introduced to verify the motion mechanisms.

The mechanical behavior of plastic concrete used in the cut-off walls of earth dams has been studied. Triaxial compression tests on the specimens in various ages and mix designs under different confining pressures have been done and the stress-strain behavior of such materials and their strength parameter changes have been experimentally investigated. It has been observed that increasing the confining pressures applied on the specimens causes the material behavior to be alike the more ductile materials and the compressive strength increases considerably as well. Moreover, a parametric study has been carded out to investigate the influence of essential parameters on the shear strength parameters of these materials. According to the research, increasing the coarse to fine aggregates ratio leads to the increase of compressive strength of the specimens as well as the increase of the cohesion and internal friction angle of the materials. Furthermore, the bentonite content decrease and the cement factor increase result in an increase of the cohesion parameter of plastic concretes and decrease of the internal friction angle of such materials.

Functional textiles that promote daily comfort and productivity must efficiently release body sweats and transmit radiative heat through sweat evaporation and mid-infrared radiation(mir)(8–13μm).However,most of the traditional clothing cannot provide simultaneous sweat evaporation and mid-infrared radiation transmission efficiently,leading to a poor design of personal cooling ***,an evaporative/radiative integrated functional fibrous electrospun membrane is meticulously designed and controllably fabricated via facile electrospinning technology for personal cooling *** developed membrane can be applied as a smart wearable with distinct personal thermal management *** promising temperature and humidity responsive vapor transmission of the membrane grants 1.2 times of evaporative cooling than that of traditional ***,based on its high mid-infrared radiation transmission(53%)property in the range of 8–13μm,the as-spun membrane provides extra cooling of 1.5°C than that of ***,the building energy saving performances demonstrated that 47.1%annual building cooling can be achieved using the developed electrospun *** general,the evaporative/radiative electrospun membrane creates a passive cooling microclimate for the human body,meeting the growing demand of wearable for personal cooling.

It is challenging to devise lightweight cryptographic primitives efficient in both hardware and software that can provide an optimum level of security to diverse Internet of Things applications running on low-end constrained ***,an effcient hardware design approach that requires some specific hardware resource may not be effcient if implemented in *** bit Permutation Network based ciphers such as PRESENT and GIFT are effcient,lightweight cryptographic hardware design *** ciphers introduce confusion and diffu-sion by employing a 4×4 static substitution box and bit *** bit-wise permutation is realised by sim-ple rerouting,which is most cost-effective to implement in hardware,resulting in negligible power ***,this method is highly resource-consuming in software,particularly for large block-sized ciphers,with each single-bit permutation requiring multiple *** paper proposes a novel software-based design approach for permutation operation in Substitution bit Permutation Network based ciphers using a bit-banding *** conventional permutation using bit rotation and the proposed approach have been implemented,analysed and compared for GIFT and PRESENT ciphers on ARM Cortex-M3-based LPC1768 development platform with KEIL MDK used as an Integrated Development *** real-time performance comparison between conven-tional and the proposed approaches in terms of memory(RAM/ROM)footprint,power,energy and execution time has been carried out using ULINKpro and ULINKplus debug adapters for various code and speed optimisation *** proposed approach substantially reduces execution time,energy and power consumption for both PRE-SENT and GIFT ciphers,thus demonstrating the effciency of the proposed method for Substitution bit Permutation Network based symmetric block ciphers.
