Radio resource management in energy harvesting cooperative cognitive UAV assisted IoT networks:A multi-objective approach

Cooperative communication through energy harvested relays in Cognitive Internet of Things(CIoT)has been envisioned as a promising solution to support massive connectivity of Cognitive Radio(CR)based IoT devices and to achieve maximal energy and spectral efficiency in upcoming wireless *** this work,a cooperative CIoT system is contemplated,in which a source acts as a satellite,communicating with multiple CIoT devices over numerous *** Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)are used as relays,which are equipped with onboard Energy Harvesting(EH)*** adopted a Power Splitting(PS)method for EH at relays,which are harvested from the Radio frequency(RF)*** conjunction with this,the Decode and Forward(DF)relaying strategy is used at UAV relays to transmit the messages from the satellite source to the CIoT *** developed a Multi-Objective Optimization(MOO)framework for joint optimization of source power allocation,CIoT device selection,UAV relay assignment,and PS ratio *** formulated three objectives:maximizing the sum rate and the number of admitted CIoT in the network and minimizing the carbon dioxide *** MOO formulation is a Mixed-Integer Non-Linear Programming(MINLP)problem,which is challenging to *** address the joint optimization problem for an epsilon optimal solution,an Outer Approximation Algorithm(OAA)is proposed with reduced *** simulation results show that the proposed OAA is superior in terms of CIoT device selection and network utility maximization when compared to those obtained using the Nonlinear Optimization with Mesh Adaptive Direct-search(NOMAD)algorithm.

Contextual Text Mining Framework for Unstructured Textual Judicial Corpora through Ontologies

Digitalization has changed the way of information processing, and newtechniques of legal data processing are evolving. Text mining helps to analyze andsearch different court cases available in the form of digital text documents toextract case reasoning and related data. This sort of case processing helps professionals and researchers to refer the previous case with more accuracy in reducedtime. The rapid development of judicial ontologies seems to deliver interestingproblem solving to legal knowledge formalization. Mining context informationthrough ontologies from corpora is a challenging and interesting field. Thisresearch paper presents a three tier contextual text mining framework throughontologies for judicial corpora. This framework comprises on the judicial corpus,text mining processing resources and ontologies for mining contextual text fromcorpora to make text and data mining more reliable and fast. A top-down ontologyconstruction approach has been adopted in this paper. The judicial corpus hasbeen selected with a sufficient dataset to process and evaluate the *** experimental results and evaluations show significant improvements incomparison with the available techniques.

An extraordinary sensing ability of the SnP3-based single-material logical junction for harmful NO_(x)gases was explored in the present work through a set of first-principles electronic structure *** a sensing platform,a metal-semiconductor-metal lateral junction composed of a single material was designed based on the metallic/semiconducting characteristics of trilayer/monolayer SnP_(3).Lacking a Schottky barrier at the electrode-channel interface,the gas-specific charge transfer between the SnP_(3) layer and gas molecules was precisely detected based on the current-voltage ***_(x)gases with strong adsorption strength and charge transfer amount on the SnP_(3)substrate were shown to be particularly well detected in this manner,in terms of either the absolute magnitude of the current or negative differential resistance(NDR)at a reasonably small bias voltage as a sensing *** work will provide a new pathway to design a Schottky barrier-free metal-semiconductor junction for highly sensitive sensor applications.

Quantum Model of Bertrand Duopoly

We present a quantum model of Bertrand duopoly and study the entanglement behavior on the profit functions of the firms. Using the concept of optimal response of each firm to the price of the opponent, we find only one Nash equilibirum point for the maximally entangled initial state. The presence of quantum entanglement in the initial state gives payoffs higher to the firms than the classical payoffs at the Nash equilibrium. As a result, the dilemma-like situation in the classical game is resolved.

Minor alloying plays an important role in the synthesis and improvement of thermal stability of bulk metallic glasses（BMGs）.The present study was conducted to investigate the effect of minor additions of Y,Ti and Nb on the crystallization behavior and the thermal properties of Zr64.5Ni15.5Al11.5Cu8.5 *** parameters and the activation energies for crystallization were calculated for four（Zr0.645Ni0.155Al0.115-Cu0.085）100-xMx（M=Y,Ti and Nb,while x=0,2 at.） *** present alloys have wide supercooled liquid region of ≥87 *** activation energy was found to be greater than 300 kJ/mol for the base *** crystalline phases were identified in the samples annealed at 823 K for 20 *** glass transition temperature（Trg） and other thermal parameters such as γ,δ and β were improved by Y and Ti *** addition resists crystallization below annealing temperature 713 K,however,its effect on thermal properties is not very promising.

Acral melanoma detection using dermoscopic images and convolutional neural networks

Acral melanoma(AM)is a rare and lethal type of skin *** can be diagnosed by expert dermatologists,using dermoscopic *** is challenging for dermatologists to diagnose melanoma because of the very minor differences between melanoma and non-melanoma *** of the research on skin cancer diagnosis is related to the binary classification of lesions into melanoma and ***,to date,limited research has been conducted on the classification of melanoma *** current study investigated the effectiveness of dermoscopy and deep learning in classifying melanoma subtypes,such as,*** this study,we present a novel deep learning model,developed to classify skin *** utilized a dermoscopic image dataset from the Yonsei University Health System South Korea for the classification of skin *** image processing and data augmentation techniques have been applied to develop a robust automated system for AM *** custombuilt model is a seven-layered deep convolutional network that was trained from ***,transfer learning was utilized to compare the performance of our model,where AlexNet and ResNet-18 were modified,fine-tuned,and trained on the same *** achieved improved results from our proposed model with an accuracy of more than 90%for AM and benign nevus,***,using the transfer learning approach,we achieved an average accuracy of nearly 97%,which is comparable to that of state-of-the-art *** our analysis and results,we found that our model performed well and was able to effectively classify skin *** results show that the proposed system can be used by dermatologists in the clinical decision-making process for the early diagnosis of AM.

Adsorptive potential of Acacia nilotica based adsorbent for chromium(Ⅵ) from an aqueous phase

The objective of this research was to enhance adsorption capacity of Acacia nilotica （keekar） sawdust for the abatement of chromium bearing wastewater and to investigate the effect of process parameters on adsorption capacity. The sawdust was activated by acid wash and functionalized subsequently with formaldehyde. Functionalization of activated sawdust raised its chromium removal efficiency of almost 10% as compared to its adsorption removal efficiency of HCl treated sawdust in a batch adsorption study. Adsorption kinetic data provided better fitting with pseudo second order model. Maximum adsorption capacity calculated through the best fitting Langmuir model was 6.34 mg·g^-1 and 8.2 mg·g^-1 for HCl treated and formaldehyde functionalized sawdust adsorbents, respectively. The adsorption of Cr（VI） was endothermic when studied by varying temperature from 20℃ to 50℃ for both activated and functionalized adsorbents.

Quantum Monty Hall Problem under Decoherence

We study the effect of decoherence on quantum Monty Hall problem under the influence of amplitude damping, depolarizing, and dephasing channels. It is shown that under the effect of decoherence, there is a Nash equilibrium of the game in case of depolarizing channel for Alice＇s quantum strategy. Whereas in case of dephasing noise, the game is not influenced by the quantum channel. For amplitude damping channel, Bob＇s payoffs are found symmetrical about a decoherence of 50% and the maximum occurs at this value of decoherence for his classical strategy. However, it is worth-mentioning that in case of depolarizing channel, Bob＇s classical strategy remains always dominant against any choice of Alice＇s strategy.
