Currently,many soil erosion studies at local,regional,national or continental scale use models based on the USLE-family *** of these models pay little attention to seasonal changes,despite evidence in the literature which suggests that erosion risk may change rapidly according to intra-annual rainfall figures and vegetation *** paper emphasises the aspect of seasonality in soil erosion mapping by using month-step rainfall erosivity data and biophysical time series data derived from *** latter,together with other existing pan-European geo-databases sets the basis for a functional pan-European service for soil erosion monitoring at a scale of 1:500,*** potential service has led to the establishment of a new modelling approach(called the G2 model)based on the inheritance of USLE-family *** G2 model proposes innovative techniques for the estimation of vegetation and protection *** model has been applied in a 14,500 km 2 study area in SE Europe covering a major part of the basin of the cross-border river,*** results were verified with erosion and sedimentation figures from previous *** study confirmed that monthly erosion mapping would identify the critical months and would allow erosion figures to be linked to specific land uses.

Recent years have seen an increasing interest in Demand Response(DR),as a means to satisfy the growing flexibility needs of modern power *** increased flexibility is required due to the growing proportion of intermittent renewable energy generation into the energy mix,and increasing complexity in demand profiles from the electrification of transport ***,less than 2%of the global potential for demand-side flexibility is currently utilised,but a more widespread adoption of residential consumers as flexibility resources can lead to substantially higher utilisation of the demand-side flexibility *** order to achieve this target,acquiring a better understanding of how residential DR participants respond in DR events is essential–and recent advances in novel machine learning and statistical AI provide promising tools to address this *** study provides an in-depth analysis of how residential customers have responded in incentive-based DR,utilising household-related data from a large-scale,real-world trial:the Smart Grid,Smart City(SGSC)*** a number of different machine learning approaches,we model the relationship between a household’s response and household-related ***,we examine the potential effects of households’features on the residential response behaviour,and highlight a number of key insights which raise questions about the reported level of consumers’engagement in DR schemes,and the motivation for different customers’response ***,we explore the temporal structure of the response–and although we found no supporting evidence of DR responders learning over time for the available data from this trial,the proposed methodologies could be used for longer-term longitudinal DR *** study concludes with a broader discussion of our findings and potential paths for future research in this emerging area.

AIM:To assess human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2)-status in gastric cancer and matched lymph node metastases by immunohistochemistry (IHC) and chromogenic in situ hybridization (CISH).METHODS:120 cases of primary gastric carcinomas and 45 matched lymph node metastases from patients with full clinicopathological features were mounted onto multiple-punch and single-punch tissue microarrays,respectively,and examined for HER2 overexpression and gene amplification by IHC and ***:Twenty-four tumors (20%) expressed HER2 *** IHC score of ≥ 2+ was observed in 20 tumors (16.6%).HER2 amplification was detected by CISH in 19 tumors (15.8%) and in their matched lymph node metastases.A high concordancerate was found between HER2 positivity (as detected by IHC) and HER2 gene amplification (as detected by CISH),since 19 of the 20 IHC positive cases were amplified (95%).All amplified cases had 2+ or 3+ IHC *** was associated with intestinal phenotype (P < 0.05).No association with grading,staging or survival was ***:In gastric cancer,HER2 amplification is the main mechanism for HER2 protein overexpression and is preserved in lymph node metastases.

We have developed a numerical method for simulating viscous flow through a compliant closed tube,driven by a pair of fluid source and *** is natural for tubular flow simulations,the problem is formulated in axisymmetric cylindrical coordinates,with fluid flow described by the Navier-Stokes *** the tubular walls are assumed to be elastic,when stretched or compressed they exert forces on the *** these forces are singularly supported along the boundaries,the fluid velocity and pressure fields become *** accurately compute the solution,we use the velocity decomposition approach,according to which pressure and velocity are decomposed into a singular part and a remainder *** singular part satisfies the Stokes equations with singular boundary *** the Stokes solution is unsmooth,it is computed to second-order accuracy using the immersed interface method,which incorporates known jump discontinuities in the solution and derivatives into the finite difference *** remainder part,which satisfies the Navier-Stokes equations with a continuous body force,is *** equations describing the remainder part are discretized in time using the semi-Lagrangian approach,and then solved using a pressure-free projection *** results indicate that the computed overall solution is secondorder accurate in space,and the velocity is second-order accurate in time.

In this article,an extensive inventory in the literature of water erosion modelling from a geospatial point of view is *** of scale,spatiality and complexity are explored and clarified in a theoretical *** of Geographic Information Systems(GIS)is pointed out as facilitating data mixing and model rescaling and thus increasing complexity in data-method *** scale,temporal scale and spatial methodologies are addressed as the most determining geospatial properties underlying water erosion *** these properties as classification criteria,82 water erosion models are identified and classified into eight *** a result,a complete overview of water erosion models becomes available in a single *** biggest share of the models is found in the category of the mechanistic pathway-type event-based models for watershed to landscape *** parallel,geospatial innovations that could be considered as milestones in water erosion modelling are highlighted and *** alphabetical list of all models is also listed in the *** manipulating scale efficiently,two promising spatial theories are suggested for further exploitation in the future such as hierarchy theory and fractals *** erosion applications,uncertainty analysis within GIS is considered to be necessary for further improving performance of erosion models.

AIM:To explore the feasibility of dual camera capsule (DCC)small-bowel(SB)imaging and to examine if two cameras complement each other to detect more SB ***:Forty-one eligible,consecutive patients underwent DCC SB *** experienced investigators examined the videos and compared the total number of detected lesions to the number of lesions detected by each camera *** tolerability was assessed using a ***:One patient was *** cameras detected 68 positive findings(POS)in 20(50%)*** of them were detected by the"yellow"camera,48 by the"green"and 28 by both cameras;44%(n=22)of the"yellow"camera’s POS were not detected by the"green"camera and 42%(n=20)of the"green" camera’s POS were not detected by the"yellow"*** two cases,only one camera detected significant *** participants had 216 findings of unknown significance(FUS).The"yellow","green"and both cameras detected 171,161,and 116 FUS,respectively;32%(n=55)of the"yellow"camera’s FUS were not detected by the"green"camera and 28%(n=45)of the"green"camera’s FUS were not detected by the "yellow"*** were no complications related to the examination,and 97.6%of the patients would repeat the examination,if ***:DCC SB examination is feasible and well *** two cameras complement each other to detect more SB lesions.
