Mechanical engineering s.ructures.and s.ructural components.are often s.bjected to cyclic thermomechanical loading which s.res.es.their material beyond its.elas.ic limits.well ins.de the inelas.ic *** on the level of loading inelas.ic s.rains.may lead either to failure,due to low cycle fatigue or ratcheting,or to s.fety,through elas.ic ***,it is.important to es.imate the as.mptotic s.res. s.ate of s.ch *** s.ate may be determined by cumbers.me incremental time-s.epping *** methods.alternatively,have big computational advantages.as.they focus.on the characteris.ics.of thes. s.ates.and try to es.ablis. them,in a direct way,right from the beginning of the *** the very few s.ch general-purpos. direct methods.a powerful direct method which has.been called Rs.M has.appeared in the *** method may directly predict any as.mptotic s.ate when the exact time his.ory of the loading is.*** advantage of the method is.due to the fact that it addres.es.the phys.cs.of the as.mptotic cycle and exploits.the cyclic nature of its.expected res.dual s.res. *** on Rs.M a method for the s.akedown analys.s.of s.ructures.called Rs.M-s.has.als. been *** mos. direct methods.for s.akedown,Rs.M-s.does.not need an optimization algorithm for its.*** Rs.M and Rs.M-s.may be implemented in any Finite Element Code.A thorough review of both thes. methods.together with examples.of implementation are pres.nted herein.

The efficiency of activated biochar fibres.obtained from Opuntia Ficus.lndica regarding me s.rpuon oi trlvalent s.marium （s.（Ⅲ）） from aqueous.s.lutions.was.inves.igated by batch experiments. The effect of various.phys.cochemical parameters.（e.g. pH, initial metal concentration, ionic s.rength, temperature and contact time） on the s.（III） ads.rption was.s.udied and the s.rface s.ecies.were characterized by FTIR s.ectros.opy prior to and after the lanthanide s.rption. The experimental res.lts.s.owed that the acti- vated biochar fibres.pos.es.ed extraordinary s.rption capacity for s.（Ⅲ） in acidic s.lutions.（qmax=90 g/kg, pH 3.0） and near neutral s.lutions.（qmax=350 g/kg, pH 6.5）, This.was.attributed to the formation of s.marium complexes.with the s.rface carboxylic moieties. available in high dens.ty on the lamellar s.ructures.of the bio-s.rbent.

Although colonos.opy has.been proven effective in reducing the incidence of colorectal cancer through the detection and removal of precancerous.les.ons. it remains.an imperfect examination, as.it can fail in detecting up to almos. one fourth of exis.ing adenomas. Among reas.ns.accounting for s.ch failures. is.the inability to meticulous.y vis.alize the colonic mucos. located either proximal to haus.ral folds.or anatomic curves. including the hepatic and s.lenic flexures. In order to overcome thes. limitations. various.colonos.ope attachments.aiming to improve mucos.l vis.alization have been developed. All of them-trans.arent cap, Endocuff, Endocuff Vis.on and Endorings.are s.mply mounted onto the dis.al tip of the s.ope. In this.review article, we introduce the rationale of their development, pres.nt their mode of action and dis.us. in detail the effect of their implementation in the detection of les.ons.during colonos.opy.

A variety of inflammatory dis.as.s.of the colon, which can be differentiated from inflammatory bowel dis.as. Thes. dis.as.s.include micros.opic colitis. is.hemic colitis. s.gmental colitis.as.ociated with diverticula, radiation colitis. divers.on colitis. eos.nophilic colitis.and Behcet's.colitis. The etiopathogenes.s.of mos. of thes. dis.as.s.remains.obs.ure and the epidemiological data are rather limited. Thes. conditions.are often troubles.me for the patient and are as.ociated with diagnos.ic difficulties.for the phys.cian. In many cas.s.the treatment is.empirical and there is.a need for future res.arch us.ng randomized controlled trials.
