Proteomic analyses of the SMYD family interactomes identify HSP90 as a novel target for SMYD2

The SMYD(SET and MYND domain)family of lysine methyltransferases(KMTs)plays pivotal roles in various cellular processes,including gene expression regulation and DNA damage *** identified as genuine histone methyltransferases,specific members of this family have recently been shown to methylate non-histone proteins such as p53,VEGFR,and the retinoblastoma tumor suppressor(pRb).To gain further functional insights into this family of KMTs,we generated the protein interaction network for three different human SMYD proteins(SMYD2,SMYD3,and SMYD5).Characterization of each SMYD protein network revealed that they associate with both shared and unique sets of *** those,we found that HSP90 and several of its co-chaperones interact specifically with the tetratrico peptide repeat(TPR)-containing SMYD2 and ***,using proteomic and biochemical techniques,we provide evidence that SMYD2 methylates K209 and K615 on HSP90 nucleotide-binding and dimerization domains,*** addition,we found that each methylation site displays unique reactivity in regard to the presence of HSP90 co-chaperones,pH,and demethylation by the lysine amine oxidase LSD1,suggesting that alternative mechanisms control HSP90 methylation by ***,this study highlights the ability of SMYD proteins to form unique protein complexes that may underlie their various biological functions and the SMYD2-mediated methylation of the key molecular chaperone HSP90.

Dieulafoy’s Lesion of the Duodenum: The Management of This Unusual Location

Dieulafoy lesion (DL) is a rare source of gastrointestinal tract bleeding that can affect any site of the gastrointestinal tract, particularly the stomach and less commonly the duodenum. Early endoscopy during a bleeding episode is essential for an accurate diagnosis and sometimes multiple endoscopies are needed to establish the diagnosis. In this report, we describe a case of duodenal DL detected and treated by endoscopy. We report the case of a 65-year-old patient admitted for massive upper gastrointestinal bleeding due to a Dieulafoy lesion of the duodenum. Endoscopic diagnosis and treatment were possible and hemostasis was achieved by injecting adrenaline and placing 3 clips. Various effective endoscopic techniques are available to control bleeding, the combination of injection therapy and mechanical therapy reduces the risk of recurrence.

Dammam City is one of the gorgeous coastal areas in the Arabian Gulf of Saudi *** present study aimed to ex-amine one of the copepod species infecting the rosy goatfish that represents a highly consumed fish species by the local population in the Arabian *** copepod species isolated from the infected fish specimens belong to the family Taeniacanthidae and was iden-tified as Irodes parupenei Ho and Lin(2007),primarily based on its morphological,morphometric,and ultrastructural characteris-tics,especially the structures of the dorsal cephalic area,segmentation of the first antenna,the absence of the maxilliped claw in the fe-male specimens,and the setation and spinulation of the legs 2-4 for the adult females are of great significance in the taxonomic *** 18S rRNA gene sequence was analyzed to ensure the precise identity and exact taxonomic status of the copepod *** result showed that this copepod species belong to Taenicanthidae and closely related to Irodes sauridi(gb|JF781550.1)in the same *** details on the specificity of the goatfish for Irodes species and identifying these parasitic taxa using molecular analysis are given in the present study.

This article presents a numerical study of the forces induced by hydrodynamic impact, that is, the impact of a part of the bottom of the hull on the water surface. The prediction of these efforts is often based on numerical simulations to determine the shock intensity of a structure on the surface of a weakly compressible fluid (for example, water). The short duration of the impact is also investigated in this work. This phenomenon occurs especially when a ship encounters a harsh and difficult sea conditions. Under such conditions, it is important to know how to predict the hydrodynamic forces applied to the structure to correctly optimize the ship elements during its design stage or to prevent possible damage. Indeed, various factors such as speed of the ship and height of the swell can cause the hull to partially emerge and then fall violently onto the water surface, which is referred to by naval personnel as tossing or slamming causing vibrations, stresses, and fatigue to the structural elements of the ship. In this work, we present an example of phenomenon modeling and then a numerical study of the different geometries (dihedron) that play a role in different sections of the bow. Then, we compare our present results with the theoretical and experimental results of other researchers in the field. The average interval impact time for a dihedral model corresponding to the section of the chosen ship and other experimental and theoretical data is in good agreement with the experimental and theoretical measurements.

The production process of clean hydrogen by iso-octane steam reforming in a micro-reactor under atmospheric pressure,and the high temperature was *** simulation is done using momentum conservation,mass conservation,and convection-diffusion equations,represented by the Navier-Stocks equations,the continuity equation,and the Steffan-Maxwell equation *** resolution was performed using a differential equations discretization into their conservative by the finite element method with an unconditionally stable *** analysis of the hydrodynamics of the flow effect shows that the hydrogen produced by iso-octane reforming is proportional to the mixed flow Reynolds number.

Synthesis of newly cationic surfactant based on dimethylaminopropyl amine and their silver nanoparticles:Characterization;surface activity and biological activity

The chemical structure of newly synthesized cationic surfactants based on Schiff base was confirmed using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy,and mass *** synthesized surfactants were used in the synthesis of silver nanoparticles by a simple one-step *** silver nanoparticle（AgNPs） formation was confirmed using transmission electron microscopy（TEM）,electron diffraction（SAED）,dynamic light scattering（DLS）,and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy（EDX）.The structure of the surfactant played an important role in the synthesis *** the hydrophobic chain length,the stability,and the amount of surfactant increased the quantity of AgNPs *** surface activity of the synthesized cationic surfactants was determined using surface tension measurements at three different *** synthesized surfactants showed a high tendency toward adsorption and *** the hydrophobic chain length of the synthesized surfactant increased its *** the synthesized cationic surfactants and their nano-form against bacteria and fungi showed that they are highly *** silver nanoparticles enhanced the biological activity of the synthesized cationic surfactants.

Frequency Dependence of Atomic Diffusivity and Electrical Properties of Gum Arabic/Graphite Composite

In this study, Gum Arabic (GA)/Graphite (Gr) composite material was prepared using solid state reaction method. The FTIR peaks obtained were referred to the binding of Gr with the active groups in GA, such as NH2, COOH, CHO, CNC (alkyl amine) and C=CH (aromatic monosubstitution). Atomic diffusivity of Gr in GA was calculated using simple model and was found to varied randomly. This randomness might be due to the attachment of Gr with different active groups of GA. The addition of Gr results in improvement of the conductivity of GA to a far extend as it reaches the semiconductor range. The random variation in conductivities of the samples can be attributed to the effect of high frequency range, where the effect of phonon-electron is dominant. The samples subjected to the impedance spectroscopy (IS) for second and third time were acquired different diffusivities as well as conductivities. Such variations might indicate that IS was a processing technique similar to thermal treatment since it boosted the Gr atomic diffusion.
