The spatial distribution of sub-pixel components has an impact on retrieval accuracy,and should be accounted for when inverting a three-dimensional adiative transfer model to retrieve leaf area index(LAI).To investigate this effect,we constructed three realistic scenarios with the same LAI values and other properties,except that the simulated plants had different *** implemented the radiosity method to subsequently produce synthetic bidirectional reflectance factor(BRF) datasets based upon these simulated *** inversion was conducted using these data,which showed that spatial distribution affects retrieval *** inversion was also conducted for LAI based on charge-coupled device(CCD) data from the Environment and Disaster Monitor Satellite(HJ-1),which depicted both forest and drought-resistant crop land *** showed that heterogeneity in coarse-resolution remote sensing data is the main error source in LAI *** spatial distribution of global fractal dimension index,which can be used to describe the area of sub-pixel components and their spatial distribution modes,shows good consistency with the coarse resolution LAI inversion error.

Electroluminescent properties of three ternary europium complexes with different phenanthroline derivatives

Three ternary Eu(III) complexes with general formula of Eu(DBM)3.N (DBM = dibenzoylmethanate, and LN (N = 1-3.) stand for three different 1,10-phenanthroline derivatives) have been synthesized for vacuum deposition films-based electroluminescent devices. The complex Eu(DBM)3.3.(L3.= 2.phenyl-3.[3.(carbazol-9-yl)propyl]imidazo[4,5-f]1,10-phenan-throline) was designed with an effort to combine the electron-transporting phenanthroline platform and the hole-transporting carbazole group into one molecule expecting to improve both electron and hole transporting properties simultaneously. The results show that the variation of the neutral ligands in Eu(III) mixed ligand complexes is a simple and effective approach to the improvement in the thermal stability, PL and EL properties of materials. A double-layer device with the configuration of ITO/TPD (50 nm)/Eu(DBM)3.3.(50 nm)/Mg0.9Ag0.1 (2.0 nm)/Ag (100 nm) exhibited Eu(III)-based pure red emission with a maximum brightness of 561 cd/m2.at 16 V, and an onset driving voltage of 8 V. A device with the configuration of ITO/TPD (50 nm)/[Eu(DBM)3.3.(5 nm):BCP (5 nm)]4/BCP (2. nm)/AIQ (10 nm) Mg0.9Ag0.9 (110 nm)/Ag (100 nm) gave high efficient and pure red light emission with a luminance of 1419 cd/m2. The Theory of Relativity on the Finsler Spacetime

According to some local properties of Lorentz transformation, Einstein stated: 'Vetheitiss greater than that of light have no possibility of existence.' He neglected to point out the applicable range of the special theory of relativity. In fact, it could only be applied to the subluminal-speeds. This paper shows that if ones think of the possibility of the existence of the superluminal-speeds and redescribe the special theory of relativity following Einstein's way, it could be supposed that the physical spacetime is a Finsler spacetime, characterized by the metric ds4=gijkldxidxidxkdxl. If so, a new spactime transformation could be found by invariant ds4 and the theory of relativity is discussed on this transformation it is possible that the Finsler spacetime F(x,y) may be endowed with a catastrophic nature. Based on the different properties between the ds2.and ds4, it is discussed that the flat spacetime will also have the catastrophic nature on the Finsler metric ds4. The spacetime transformations and the Physical quantities will suddenly change at the catastrophe set of the spacetime, the light cone. It will be supposed that only the dual velocity of the superluminal-speeds could be observed. If so, a particle with the superluminal-speed v> c could be regarded as its anti-particle with the dual velocity v1=c2. v2.).The ca- tastrophe of spacetime has some deep cosmological means. The development of Web-based global 3. visual system has made progresses. However, there exist few mature and effective ways for managing, transmitting and visualizing massive spatial data. Based on the related work, the paper illustrates the ellipsoidal quadtree technique for rapid access multi-scale and multiple level geographical data, integrates the streaming with level-of-detail rendering method for transmitting the data on the network, and im-plements large-scale terrain surface simplification using M-band wavelet transforms and mul-tiresolution triangulations. We fulfil a web-based global terrain visual system using COM com-ponents on the basis of the above techniques. The system has a good prospect in the military simulation and city plans.

Effects of chronic exposure to nonylphenol on locomotor activity and social behavior in zebrafish(Danio rerio)

Nonylphenol （NP）, a xenoestrogen ubiquitously found in aquatic ecosystems, is of high environmental concern. The present work assessed the effects of exposure to NP on locomotor activity and social behavior in male and female zebrafish （Danio rerio）, to evaluate the possible hazard of NP to fish behavior and to pursue a potential biomarker of NP contamination. Fish were randomly divided into six groups. Five groups were receiving 0.1, 1, 10, 50 and 100 μg/L nominal concentrations of NP for 60 days, respectively. A sixth control group was given the same treatment as the other five groups, but no NP. Locomotor activity, aggressive behavior, group preference and leaving shoal were examined. NP exposure showed marked influence on locomotor activity of the male zebrafish, whereas that of the female was not significantly affected by NP. Aggressive behavior and group preference were significantly affected by NP exposure in both male and female groups. Locomotor activity and aggressive behavior of the male and group preference of both male and female zebrafish were clearly inhibited at 100 μg/L NP. No significant alteration in leaving shoal was observed under NP exposure. The results suggested that changes in locomotor activity and aggressive behavior of the male and group preference of both male and female may be used as an ecologically relevant integrative biomarker of NP contamination.

Effects of chlorogenic acid, an active compound activating calcineurin, purified from Flos Lonicerae on macrophage

AIM: To investigate the activation of chlorogenic acid (CHA) purified from Flos Lonicerae to calcineurin and its effects on macrophage functions in vivo and in vitro. METHODS: According to the screening results that Flos Lonicerae could activate calcineurin, the active component which could activate calcineurin was purified from Flos Lonicerae by column chromatography on silica gel and identified as CHA. The activation of CHA on calcineurin had been validated with both p-NPP and P-labeled RII peptide as the substrates. The clearance of charcoal particles in 3. normal mice and the cytotoxicity of U93. to MCF-7 were used together to determine the effects of CHA on macrophage functions. RESULTS: CHA could activate calcineurin, and the concentration of CHA on maximal activating calcineurin was 2.2.5 μmol/L. CHA administration (10 mg/kg, ig×7 d) significantly enhanced the mac- rophage functions in normal mice. CHA (70.6, 141.2. and 2.2.5 μmol/L) obviously increased the cytotoxicity of U93. to MCF-7. CONCLUSION: CHA could activate calcineurin and enhance the macrophage functions in vivo and in vitro, and its functions in vivo may be realized via the signal pathways of calcineurin.

The numerical method for three-dimensional impact with friction of multi-rigid-body system

The differential equations for planar impacts reduce to an algebraic form, and can be easily solved. For three dimensional impacts with friction, there is no closed-form solution, and numerical integration is required due to the swerve behavior of tangential impulse during collisions. The dynamic governing equations in the impact process are built up in impulse space based on the Lagrangian equation in this paper. The coefficient of restitution defined by Poisson is used as the condition of impact termination. A valid nu- merical method for solving three-dimensional frictional impact of multi-rigid body system is established. The singular cases of tangential movement in sticking point are especially noticed and analyzed. Several examples are present to reveal the different kinds of tan- gential movement modes varied with the normal impulse during collision.

Approach to synthesis of novel chiral 3.chloro-2.5H)- furanone and its application in asymmetric reactions

The synthetic method of the novel chiral synthon, 5-/-menthyloxy-3.chloro-2.(5H)-furanone 5a and its application in asymmetric reactions were investigated. 5a is easily obtained in highly optical purity, and acts as a stable acceptor of Michael addition with oxygen nucleophiles in tandem double Michael addition / internal nucieophilic substitution to offer the spiro-cyclopropane derivative containing four stereogenic centers 8, which it is difficult to obtain by routine methods. The synthetic methods for 5a and 8 are reported in detail and the new compounds are identified on the basis of their analytical data and spectroscopic data, such as UV, IR, H NMR,13.C NMR, MS and elementary analysis. The absolute configuration of the interesting spiro-cyclopropanes, spiro [1-chloro-4-(/-menthyloxy)-5-oxo-6-oxa-biscyclo[3.1.0]hexane-2.3.(4’-/-menthyloxy-5’-/-menthyloxy- butyrolactone)] 8 was established by X-ray crystallography.
