This paper reviews published and presents new data on U-Pb detrital zircon ages,and petrographic,geochemical and isotope(Sm-Nd,Lu-Hf) compositions obtained from greywacke sandstones of Kazakhstan in order to reconstruct fossil intra-oceanic arcs that once existed at Pacific-type convergent margins of the Paleo-Asian Ocean(PAO) in Paleozoic *** focus on orogenic belts of central Kazakhstan(Itmurundy and Tekturmas) and eastern Kazakhstan(Zharma and Char) in the western Central Asian Orogenic *** orogenic belts host accretionary complexes with greywacke sandstones of early Paleozoic(central Kazakhstan) and middle-late Paleozoic(eastern Kazakhstan) ***,we evaluate general perspectives for studying sandstones to reconstruct survived and disappeared magmatic arcs,taking into account episodes of subduction *** we discuss the analytical data from sandstones to make conclusions about the ages and formation settings of their igneous protoliths and define maximum deposition ***,we discuss the role of serpentinite melanges in tectonic *** argue that sandstones hosted by accretionary complexes are typically greywackes deposited close to their igneous sources and buried *** provenances of the studied greywacke sandstones of central and eastern Kazakhstan were dominated by mafic to andesitic igneous protoliths derived from juvenile mantle *** igneous rocks in the provenances were emplaced in an intra-oceanic arc *** sandstones were deposited in fore-arc/trench basins or,to a lesser degree,in back-arc *** data from both sandstones and serpentinite melanges reconstruct middle-late-Cambrian,Ordovician,late-D evonian and Carboniferous arcs of the western *** middle-late Cambrian arcs were fully destroyed by subduction erosion,whereas the Ordovician and Carboniferous arcs *** late-D evonian arcs were also eroded,but *** the early and late Paleozoic active margins of the PAO were chara

Changes in the global environment such as ocean acidification （OA） may interact with anthropogenic pollutants including trace metals threatening the integrity of marine ecosystems. We analyze recent studies on the interactive effects of OA and trace metals on marine organisms with a focus on the physiological basis of these interactions. Our analysis shows that the responses to elevated CO2 and metals are strongly dependent on the species, developmental stage, metal biochemistry and the degree of environmental hypercapnia, and cannot be directly predicted from the CO2-induced changes in metal solubility and speciation. The key physiological functions affected by both the OA and trace metal exposures involve acid-base regulation, pro- tein turnover and mitochondrial bioenergetics, reflecting the sensitivity of the underlying molecular and cellular pathways to CO2 and metals. Physiological interactions between elevated CO2 and metals may impact the organisms＇ capacity to maintain ac- id-base homeostasis and reduce the amount of energy available for fitness-related functions such as growth, development and re- production thereby affecting survival and performance of estuarine populations. Environmental hypercapnia may also affect the marine food webs by altering predator-prey interactions and the trophic transfer of metals in the food chain. However, our under- standing of the degree to which these effects can impact the function and integrity of marine ecosystems is limited due the scar- city of the published research and its bias towards certain taxonomic groups. Future research priorities should include studies of metal x Pco2 interactions focusing on critical physiological functions （including acid-base, protein and energy homeostasis） in a greater range of ecologically and economically important marine species, as well as including the field populations naturally ex- posed （and potentially adapted） to different levels of metals and CO2 in their environments [Curre

This study examines the nonlinear behaviors of a clamped-clamped porous pipe made of a functionally graded material(FGm) that conveys fluids and is equipped with a retaining clip, focusing on primary resonance and subcritical dynamics. The nonlinear governing equations for the FGm pipe are derived by the extended Hamilton's principle, and subsequently discretized through the application of the Galerkin *** direct method of multi-scales is then used to solve the derived equations. A thorough analysis of various parameters, including the clip stiffness, the power-law index, the porosity, and the clip location, is conducted to gain a comprehensive understanding of the system's nonlinear dynamics. Through the analysis of the first natural frequency, the study highlights the influence of the flow velocity and the clip stiffness, while the comparisons with metallic pipes emphasize the role of FGm composition. The examination of the forced response curves reveals saddle-node bifurcations and their dependence on parameters such as the detuning parameter and the power-law index, offering valuable insights into the system's nonlinear resonant behavior. Furthermore, the frequency-response curves illustrate the hardening nonlinearities influenced by factors such as the porosity and the clip stiffness, revealing nuanced effects on the system response and resonance characteristics. This comprehensive analysis enhances the understanding of nonlinear behaviors in FGm porous pipes with a retaining clip, providing key insights for practical engineering applications in system design and optimization.

Adult neurogenesis persists after birth in the subventricular zone, with new neurons migrating to the granule cell layer and glomerular layers of the olfactory bulb, where they integrate into existing circuitry as inhibitory interneurons. The generation of these new neurons in the olfactory bulb supports both structural and functional plasticity, aiding in circuit remodeling triggered by memory and learning processes. However, the presence of these neurons, coupled with the cellular diversity within the olfactory bulb, presents an ongoing challenge in understanding its network organization and function. moreover,the continuous integration of new neurons in the olfactory bulb plays a pivotal role in regulating olfactory information processing. This adaptive process responds to changes in epithelial composition and contributes to the formation of olfactory memories by modulating cellular connectivity within the olfactory bulb and interacting intricately with higher-order brain regions. The role of adult neurogenesis in olfactory bulb functions remains a topic of debate. Nevertheless, the functionality of the olfactory bulb is intricately linked to the organization of granule cells around mitral and tufted cells. This organizational pattern significantly impacts output, network behavior, and synaptic plasticity, which are crucial for olfactory perception and memory. Additionally, this organization is further shaped by axon terminals originating from cortical and subcortical regions. Despite the crucial role of olfactory bulb in brain functions and behaviors related to olfaction, these complex and highly interconnected processes have not been comprehensively studied as a whole. Therefore, this manuscript aims to discuss our current understanding and explore how neural plasticity and olfactory neurogenesis contribute to enhancing the adaptability of the olfactory system. Protonic ceramic fuel cells(PCFCs)offer a convenient means for electrochemical conversion of chemical energy into electricity at intermediate temperatures with very high *** BaCeO_(3)-and BaZrO_(3)-based complex oxides have been positioned as the most promising PCFC electrolytes,the design of new protonic conductors with improved properties is of paramount *** the present work,we studied transport properties of scandium-doped barium stannate(Sc-doped BaSnO_(3)).Our analysis included the fabrication of porous and dense BaSn_(1−x)Sc_(x)O_(3−δ)ceramic materials(0≤x≤0.37),as well as a comprehensive analysis of their total,ionic,and electronic conductivities across all the experimental conditions realized under the PCFC operation:both air and hydrogen atmospheres with various water vapor partial pressures(p(H2O)),and a temperature range of 500–900℃.This work reports on electrolyte domain boundaries of the undoped and doped BaSnO_(3)for the first time,revealing that pure BaSnO_(3)exhibits mixed ionic–electronic conduction behavior under both oxidizing and reducing conditions,while the Sc-doping results in the gradual improvement of ionic(including protonic)conductivity,extending the electrolyte domain boundaries towards reduced *** latter property makes the heavilydoped BaSnO_(3)representatives attractive for PCFC applications.

Oxide powders of Zr1_xTixO2(x=0-1)solid solutions with micron-sized particles were synthesized via a solution combustion *** synthesis process and Zr/Ti molar ratio were optimized to produce powders with the tetragonal crystal structure.X-ray diffraction,Raman spectroscopy and transmission electron spectroscopy results confirm that a full crystallization microstructure with the single tetragonal phase is obtained after calcination at 600℃while maintaining the crystallite sizemixtures with Zr>67 mol%exhibit a tetragonal crystal structure and the embedding Ti in ZrO2 improves the structure *** nitrogen sorption results indicate that the powders possess mesoporous morphology with medium specific surface areas(~10-50 m^2/g).Chemical stability tests show that these powders are relatively stable with negligible removal of titanium and zirconium after elution by 0.5 mol/L *** functional theory was used to calculate the most stable structure with low energy for the selected composition.
