The irruption of Christianity in roman society implied a necessary process of adaptation of both realities, which coexisted in a common political and cultural space. Outside of first incomprehension from both sides--crystallized in groups that, on the one hand, foresaw the imminent Parousia, and the periodic violent reactions against this weird group of followers of an executed Galileo, on the other hand--truth is that both parts must have little by little adapted to a cohabitation they saw themselves headed toward, since they shared a common space. In turn, Christians, no matter their diverse origin, social or geographical, had to become little by little aware of their own identity, building through the years an internal organization that should answer not only to the necessities of this primitive religious society inside the enormous flame of the Empire, but also to some circumstances presented in their own evolution, as they were a particular human group with a clear mission--Gospel preaching--and with very specific sources they could not separate from. Within these organization needs, one of them was the administration of Justice, needed in all societies, and clearly articulated in the roman world, but completely distant from the evangelic principles that must guide every action of a Christian. There begins the difficult task of constructing an organization able to answer to the needs of the community and to the mission given by Jesus, doing this task, firstly, in parallel to the Empire, and later under its protection. However, this will not mean the abandonment of the authority due to the established political power, but a complicated combination between obedience toward the authorities and the application ad intra of a Law in accordance with the condition of being ＂saved＂ of the believers, whose starting point will be, no doubt, the Gospel. It is clear that when both visions collide, that born from the faith should be given priority, but both will be combined

Oximetry is a method for measuring the oxygen saturation of haemoglobin in blood. Particularly, retinal oximetry based in the measurement of oxygen saturation in retinal vessels has acquired great interest to gather information on blood oxygenation from said vessels within inner and outer retina. Non-invasive spectrophotometric retinal oximetry has been studied for over five decades based on imaging spectroscopy. However, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is an alternative to analyze the absorption difference between oxyhaemoglobin (HbO2) and deoxyhaemoglobin (Hb) in the retinal vessels and the choroidal structure. We propose in this paper an alternative process to manipulate conventional OCT images to evaluate changes in the relative haemoglobin oxygen saturation. Conventional OCT images from 570 nm and 600 nm in gray scale are converted to a corresponding color scale to be compared to the oxygenation information involved in the original gray scale OCT images.

This work presents the results of the analysis of meteorological variables applying the modeling Ion-Wavelets in a hypothetical manner. In this case the Morlet wavelet transform is used, which is the result of a huge number of researches made in the80’s and applied to various physical phenomena derived from natural chaotic processes;the data were processed using the phenomenon “El Nino” and CO2 (Carbon dioxide) due to the fact that these are the meteorological phenomena which best adapt to our object of study correlating with distribution of Gauss and Morlet during the study period in the Puebla Valley.

This paper aims to contribute to the prevention of natural disasters and generate a complement to other similar studies. The Popocatépetl volcano has showed significant and constant activity since 1994. The Colorada and Quimichule canyons are located within its geologic structure;due to their topographic features, ejected volcanic material and torrential rains in the past recent years, they put nearby communities at risk. This work presents a geostatistical analysis to obtain the gravity acceleration, slope by the distance-elevation relation, height-gravity and the fluid force on the canyons. The conversion of UTM to geographical coordinates was made with the use of the program Traninv applying the ITrF2008 epoch 2010.0 Datum and the 14 Zone;the local gravity was calculated with the use of International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) and the statistical analysis was obtained with the use of the Geostatistical Environmental Assessment. The structural modeling was performed using Surfer, and the spending and force were calculated using hydrological models. The correlation analysis concluded that Quimichule has the greatest gravity and that it would transport lahars faster. Mapping, geomorphological and statistical techniques and models were applied in accordance with the study to obtain the results presented here.

This paper reports on the ablation process of a pure Ti solid target immersed in a C-enriched acetone solution, leading to the production of titanium carbide (TiC) and Ti-C core-shell nanostructures. The used route of synthesis is generally called pulsed laser ablation in liquid (PLAL). The presence of carbon structures in the solution contributed to the carbon content in the produced Ti-based nanomaterials. The atomic composition of the produced nanostructures was analyzed using SEM-EDS, while TEM micrographs revealed the formation of spherical TiC and core-shell nanostructures ranging from 40 to 100 nm. The identification of atomic planes by HrTEM confirmed a 10 nm diameter C-shell with a graphite structure surrounding the Ti-core. raman spectroscopy allowed for the identification of D and G peaks for graphite and a raman signal at 380 and 600 cm−1, assigned to TiC. The results contribute to the state-of-the-art production of TiC and Ti-C core-shell nanostructures using the PLAL route.
