Wireless sensor networks have been identified as one of the most important technologies for the 21 st *** advances in micro sensor fabrication technology and wireless communication technology enable the practical deployment of large-scale,low-power,inexpensive sensor *** an approach offers an advantage over traditional sensing methods in many ways:large-scale,dense deployment not only extends spatial coverage and achieves higher resolution,but also increases the system's fault-tolerance and ***,the ad-hoc nature of wireless sensor networks makes them even more attractive for military and other risk-associated applications,such as environmental observation and habitat monitoring.

Aim:To obtain pathophysiological meanings of lysophosphatidylcholine（LPC）through the investigation of the effects of LPC in Jurkat T ***:Wemeasured ROS generation,[Ca2+]i,and mitochondrial membrane potential（MMP）by fluorescent spectrometry in Jurkat,T ***:We observed that LPCsignificantly increased the reactive oxygen species（ROS）level in human Jurkat *** structurally-related lysolipids and eleven synthetic LPCs with dif-ferent acyl chain lengths,palmitoyl LPC increased ROS to the highest level,α-Tocopherol,an antioxidant,and rottlerin PKCδ inhibitor were inhibitory effects onLPC-induced ROS *** rapidly depolarized MMP and markedly el-evated [Ca2+]iby Ca2+influx across the plasma ***,LPC-inducedROS increase seemed to not be related with LPC-induced depolarization of MMPor [Ca2+]iincrease.G2A family G protein-coupled receptors（GPCR）for lysolipidswere expressed in Jurkat T cells,however,evidence indicated that GPCR was notinvolved in LPC ***:LPC induced several cellular changes inJurkat T cells,including an increase of ROS generation in a PKCδ-dependent andGPCR-independent manner,increase of [Ca2+]ithrough Ca2+influx,and decreaseof ***-induced actions in Jurkat T cells represent novel action modes ofLPC that do not involve GPCR and multiple independent changes of intracellularsignaling molecules.

In this paper, we propose a fast and simple system emulator, called a system performance emulator(SPE), to evaluate long read *** SPE estimates how much system-wide performance is enhanced by using a faster solid state disk(SSD).By suspending a CPU for a certain time during direct memory access(DMA) transfer and subtracting this suspended time from the total DMA time, the SPE estimates the improvement in system performance expected from an enhanced SSD prior to its *** also examine the relation between storage performance and system performance using the SPE.

Joining techniques of dissimilar materials for lightweight multi-material automotive body structure were discussed. The joining of 1 .4 mm thickness steel and 2 mm thickness of Al were performed by the new method that is hybrid laser welding system. After aluminum and steel were welded by laser hybrid welding process, the micro-structure investment and the micro-hardness test were carried out. Hybrid laser welding promises a bright future in joining technology of dissimilar materials for automotive components.

Dear Editor,We would like to report the case of a patient with longstanding retinal detachment(RD)with subretinal proliferation after strabismus surgery who was successfully treated by scleral *** perforation is a potentially dangerous complication of strabismus surgery that may result in vision loss or even complete blindness and pthisis bulbi[1-2].Because most cases of scleral perforation occurred with handling ocular muscles are limited in superficial in depth and short in length,and produce no complications-its true incidence is not always *** studies have reported an incidence rate of 8%-12.1%of cases[3],whereas more recent studies have reported the rate as 0.13%-2.8%[4].This decrease in the incidence has resulted from improved surgical techniques and the introduction of spatula *** awareness among surgeons may have also contributed to this *** treatment options recommended for globe perforation include observation alone,cryopexy,diathermy,and laser retinopexy[5],however,treatment is still under *** iatrogenic scleral perforation typically causes damage to the immediate adjacent choroid,and there may or may not be damage to the underlying retina,depending on the depth of the needle pass[6].

A small size ubiquitous healthcare system for the home care of elderly persons was designed and *** system comprised a wireless sensor network node,base station and server computer for the continuous monitoring of ECG *** data,an important vital sign that is commonly used in clinical and trauma care,were displayed on a graphical user interface (GUI) by transferring the data to a PDA or a terminal *** data transfer was accomplished through a base-station connected to a server computer using TCP/***-time ECG data of elderly persons or patients,as well as historical data,can also be retrieved and played back to assist the *** ubiquitous healthcare system presented in this study can effectively reduce social medical expenses,which will increase greatly in the aging society.

AIM： To assess visual quality after presbyopia correction using an aspheric ablation profile and a micro-monovision protocol. METHODS： This is a retrospective interventional study. Fifty-four eyes of 27 patients （mean age, 50.2±7.5y） who underwent presbyopia correction with an aspheric micro-monovision protocol were enrolled. The values of modulation transfer function （MTF） cutoff frequency, Strehl ratio, objective scattering index （OSI） and accommodation range were quantitatively assessed using the HD analyzer. Preoperative and postoperative contrast sensitivity （CS） at far （2.5 m） and near （40 cm） distance and higher-order aberrations （HOAs） were analyzed. Subjective visual satisfaction was evaluated by self-reported questionnaire regarding optical visual symptoms. RESULTS： One year after presbyopia correction, no significant differences were found in the MTF cutoff frequency, Strehl ratio and OSI, however, the lID analyzer accommodation range significantly differed postoperatively （P=0.004）. Postoperative CS at 12 and 18 cpd at near showed statistically significant improvement （P=0.020 and 0.008, respectively）. Visual performance by self-reported questionnaire revealed satisfactory results in terms of subjective visual quality improvement. CONCLUSION： Objective optical quality parameters show good visual outcomes. Subjective visual quality assessed by self-reported questionnaire in the presbyopia correction group show satisfactory results.
