Electrosynthesis of CuO Nanocrystal Array as a Highly Efficient and Stable Electrocatalyst for Oxygen Evolution Reaction

Electrodeposition of active catalysts on electrodes appears as a convenient approach to prepare non-noble-metal based electrocatalysts with defined micro- and nano-structures. Herein we report a new strategy of fabricating a 3-D hierarchical CuO nanocrystal array (CuO NCA) on Cu foam through a two-step sacrifice-template method. This CuO NCA possesses high conductivity, great stability, and impressive catalytic activity for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in alkaline electrolytes. The CuO NCA can achieve a high current density of 100 mA/cm2 at a relatively low overpotential of 400 mV for OER, which shows a better performance than other Cu-based OER catalysts and IrO2. The high activity of CuO NCA is well retained during a 10-h OER test at a high current density around 270 mA/cm2, which is about 10 times higher than the current density achieved by IrO2 (around 25 mA/cm2) with the same applied overpotential. According to our best knowledge, CuO NCA is currently the most efficient and stable Cu-based electrocatalyst for water oxidation in alkaline electrolytes.

The effects of salinity （50 mmol/L NaCI） and Cd （1 μmol/L CdCl2） as sole and combined on growth and photosynthetic parameters were studied using two soybean genotypes, Huachun 18 and NGB. The concentrations of Cd^2＋, Zn^2＋, Ca^2＋, Mg^2＋, K^＋ and Na^＋were also determined in seeds and pods. Huachun 18 suffered a more serious decrease than NGB in net photosynthetic rate （P,） in the treatments of salinity stress alone and combined stress （NaCl＋Cd）, showing that it is relatively sensitive to salinity. The decrease in P, caused by salt stress in Huachun 18 was mainly due to the reduced total chlorophyll content and photosynthetic efficiency （the ratio of variable fluorescence to maximal fluorescence, Fv/Fm）, whereas the decease in NGB was mainly related to reduced stomatal conductance （Gs）, The combined stress of both Na and Cd did not induce further decrease in photosynthesis and fluorescence in the two genotypes relative to salt or Cd stress alone. Greater change in the pod concentrations of Zn^2＋, Ca^2＋, Mg^2＋, K^＋ and Na^＋was detected under salt stress for Huachun 18 than for NGB. The results suggested that the interactive effect of NaCl-Cd on growth and nutrient uptake differs between the two soybean genotypes.

The phenomenon of direct-contact condensation,used in steam driven jet injectors,nuclear reactor emergency core cooling systems and direct-contact heat exchangers,was investigated computationally by introducing a thermal equilibrium model for direct-contact condensation of steam in subcooled *** condensation model presented was a two resistance model which takes care of the heat transfer process on both sides of the interface and uses a variable steam bubble *** injection of supersonic steam jet in subcooled water tank was simulated using the Euler-Euler multiphase flow model of Fluent 6.3 code with the condensation model incorporated. The findings of the computational fluid dynamics（CFD） simulations were compared with the published experimental data and fairly good agreement was observed between the two,thus validating the condensation *** results of CFD simulations for dimensionless penetration length of steam plume varies from 2.73-7.33,while the condensation heat transfer coefficient varies from 0.75-0.917 MW·（m ^2 ·K）^ -1 for water temperature in the range of 293-343 K.

The aim of the study was to synthesize zinc oxide nanoparticles(ZnONPs)composite with clay by a novel route and then to explore the capability of composite of ZnONPs and silty clay(SC)as adsorbents for Pb(II)eradication from aqueous media by batch adsorption *** effect of different operating factors like temperature,pH,dose and time of contact on the adsorption process were studied to optimize the ***,Freundlich,Dubinin-Radushkevich(DR)and Temkin isotherms were applied for the interpretation of the *** R^(2)and q values obtained from Langmuir model suggested that the process is best interpreted by this *** values of adsorption capacity(qm)noted were 12.43 mg·g^(-1) and 14.54 mg·g^(-1)on SC and ZnONPsSC *** kinetic studies exposed that pseudo second order(PSO)kinetics is followed by the processes suggesting that more than one steps are involved to control the rate of *** thermodynamic variables such as change in free energy(AGe),change in enthalpy(AH9)and change in entropy(ASe)were *** data suggested that Pb(II)adsorption on SC and ZnONPsSC are spontaneous,endothermic and feasible processes.

With the rapid development of wireless technologies,wireless access networks have entered their Fifth-Generation(5G)system *** heterogeneous and complex nature of a 5G system,with its numerous technological scenarios,poses significant challenges to wireless resource management,making radio resource optimization an important aspect of Device-to-Device(D2D)communication in such *** D2D communication can improve spectrum efficiency,increase system capacity,and reduce base station communication burdens by sharing authorized cell resources;however,can also cause serious ***,research focusing on reducing this interference by optimizing the configuration of shared cellular resources has also grown in *** paper proposes a novel algorithm to address the problems of co-channel interference and energy efficiency optimization in a long-term evolution *** proposed algorithm uses the fuzzy clustering method,which employs minimum outage probability to divide D2D users into several groups in order to improve system throughput and reduce interference between *** efficient power control algorithm based on game theory is also proposed to optimize user transmission power within each group and thereby improve user energy *** results show that these proposed algorithms can effectively improve system throughput,reduce co-channel interference,and enhance energy efficiency.

This study deals with the features of the mass and heat transport mechanism by adopting a modified version of Fourier and Fick’s model known as the CattaneoChristov double diffusive *** time-dependent magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)flow of the Eyring-Powell liquid across an oscillatory stretchable curved sheet in the presence of Fourier and Fick’s model is *** acquired set of flow equations is transformed into the form of nonlinear partial differential equations(PDEs)by applying appropriate similarity variables.A convergent series solution to the developed nonlinear equations is accomplished with the help of an analytical approach,i.e.,the homotopy analysis method(HAM).The consequences of diverse parameters,including the dimensionless EyringPowell liquid parameter,the radius of curvature,the Schmidt/Prandtl numbers,the ratio of the oscillatory frequency of the sheet to its stretchable rate constant,the mass and thermal relaxation variables involved in the flow,and the heat and mass properties,are displayed through graphs and *** is noted from this study that the amplitude of the pressure distribution rises for the high parametric values of the Eyring-Powell parameter.
