The advent of the digital era and computer-based remote communications has significantly enhanced the applicability of various sciences over the past two decades,notably data science(DS)and cryptography(CG).Data science involves clustering and categorizing unstructured data,while cryptography ensures security and privacy *** certain CG laws and requirements mandating fully randomized or pseudonoise outputs from CG primitives and schemes,it appears that CG policies might impede data scientists from working on ciphers or analyzing information systems supporting security and privacy ***,this study posits that CG does not entirely preclude data scientists from operating in the presence of ciphers,as there are several examples of successful collaborations,including homomorphic encryption schemes,searchable encryption algorithms,secret-sharing protocols,and protocols offering conditional *** instances,along with others,indicate numerous potential solutions for fostering collaboration between DS and ***,this study classifies the challenges faced by DS and CG into three distinct groups:challenging problems(which can be conditionally solved and are currently available to use;e.g.,using secret sharing protocols,zero-knowledge proofs,partial homomorphic encryption algorithms,etc.),open problems(where proofs to solve exist but remain unsolved and is now considered as open problems;e.g.,proposing efficient functional encryption algorithm,fully homomorphic encryption scheme,etc.),and hard problems(infeasible to solve with current knowledge and tools).Ultimately,the paper will address specific solutions and outline future directions to tackle the challenges arising at the intersection of DS and CG,such as providing specific access for DS experts in secret-sharing algorithms,assigning data index dimensions to DS experts in ultra-dimension encryption algorithms,defining some functional keys in functional encryption schemes for DS experts,a

Without a doubt,blockchain,as one of the most valuable technological advancements,has been introduced over the past decade and has played a significant role in the industrial *** emergence of other technologies derived from blockchain,such as decentralized finance(DeFi)and the Metaverse,has fundamentally transformed people’s daily lives and profoundly impacted future versions of digital *** study explored the evolution of digital businesses in the near future,with a specific focus on the two primary technologies mentioned ***,we reviewed DeFi-based technologies,including GameFi,SciFi,SocialFi,and others which serve as foundational building blocks for future jobs and ***,we examined Metaverse-based jobs,such as Metaverse-based academies and markets which are expected to be launched as commonly used ***,this study provides several guidelines,such as how to use DeFi 2.0 and apply centralized decentralized finance(CeDeFi)-based ***,it offers future directions for launching these businesses,including controlling the progress of artificial intelligence(AI)in practical applications,utilizing cloud-assisted models for the Metaverse,and providing conditional privacy for future Metaverse-based businesses.

ACR-MLM:a privacy-preserving framework for anonymous and confidential rewarding in blockchain-based multi-level marketing

Network marketing is a trading technique that provides companies with the opportunity to increase *** the increasing number of Internet-based purchases,several threats are increasingly observed in this field,such as user privacy violations,company owner(CO)fraud,the changing of sold products’information,and the scalability of selling *** study presents the concept of a blockchain-based market called ACR-MLM that functions based on the multi-level marketing(MLM)model,through which registered users receive anonymous and confidential rewards for their own and their subgroups’*** a public blockchain as the ACR-MLM framework’s infrastructure solves existing problems in MLM-based markets,such as CO fraud(against the government or its users),user privacy violations(obtaining their real names or subgroup users),and scalability(when vast numbers of users have been registered).To provide confidentiality and scalability to the ACR-MLM framework,hierarchical identity-based encryption(HIBE)was applied with a functional encryption(FE)***,the security of ACR-MLM is analyzed using the random oracle(RO)model and then evaluated.

Determination of the Most Toxic Polychlorodibenzofurans in Fresh Milk from Southwest Iran

Background: Today’s presence of polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDFs) in foodstuff, such as milk and milk products, is considered to be the major concern for human health. This study was aimed to determine the concentrations of the most toxic congeners of furans in pasteurized milk samples produced in southwest Iran. Material and method: 15 composite samples of pasteurized milk were collected from 3 major dairy factories in Khuzestan Province (southwest of Iran) in summer, autumn and winter from July 2011 to March 2012. After precipitation of the proteins, fat phase was reduced and extracted with hexane and ether. After dehydration, furans existed in fat percolated with hexane through a column chromatography that contained respectively silica gel/silver nitrate, silica gel, silica gel/sulphuric acid and with percolating output through another column that contained activated charcoal and silica gel and washed the lower column with a mixture of dichloromethane-hexane and toluene, concentrated and dissolved in mobile phase and analyzed using HPLC: 150 mm × 4.6 mm ID, 5 μm cosmosil 5 NPE column equipped with a UV detector at 254 and 235 nm, mobile phase: methanol/water (80:20, v/v) at flow rate of 1 ml/min. Results: All samples were found to be contaminated with furans. The average concentration of 2,3,7,8 TCDF and 2,3,4,7,8 PCDF were 1.91 pg/g and 1.77 pg/g in lipid content ranging from 2% to 3% respectively. The mean total content of furans in milk fat was 0.36 TEQ (Toxic Equivalency) pg/g which was below the recommended EU (European Union) threshold value 3 pg (WHO-PCDFs-TEQ/g fat). Also, result showed that there were statistically significant differences between each factory during 3 seasons.
