Effect of a synthesized anionic fluorinated surfactant on wettability alteration for chemical treatment of near-wellbore zone in carbonate gas condensate reservoirs

The pressure drop during production in the near-wellbore zone of gas condensate reservoirs causes condensate formation in this *** blockage in this area causes an additional pressure drop that weakens the effective parameters of production,such as *** rock wettability alteration to gas-wet through chemical treatment is one of the solutions to produce these condensates and eliminate condensate blockage in the *** this study,an anionic fluorinated surfactant was synthesized and used for chemical treatment and carbonate rock wettability *** synthesized surfactant was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and thermogravimetric ***,using surface tension tests,its critical micelle concentration(CMC)was *** angle experiments on chemically treated sections with surfactant solutions and spontaneous imbibition were performed to investigate the wettability *** adsorption on porous media was calculated using ***,the surfactant foamability was investigated using a Ross-Miles foam *** to the results,the synthesized surfactant has suitable thermal stability for use in gas condensate reservoirs.A CMC of 3500 ppm was obtained for the surfactant based on the surface tension *** angle experiments show the ability of the surfactant to chemical treatment and wettability alteration of carbonate rocks to gas-wet so that at the constant concentration of CMC and at 373 K,the contact angles at treatment times of 30,60,120 and 240 min were obtained 87.94°,93.50°,99.79°and 106.03°,***,this ability varies at different surfactant concentrations and *** foamability test also shows the suitable stability of the foam generated by the surfactant,and a foam half-life time of 13 min was obtained for the surfactant at CMC.

Dynamic stress concentration in an infinitely long cylindrical cavity due to a point spherical source embedded within a fluid-saturated poroelastic formation of infinite extent

The effects of a harmonically exciting monopole source on an infinitely long cylindrical cavity embedded entirely within a fluid-saturated poroelastic formation of infinite extent are examined theoretically. It is assumed that the source is located outside the cavity at a specified distance from the borehole axis. The magnitudes of the hoop and radial stresses beside the pore pressures exerted on the interface and inside the porous medium surrounding the borehole are calculated and discussed. Biot's poroelastic modeling along with three types of boundary conditions for the cylindrical interface including the ideal fluid, empty borehole, and rigid inclusion with a hard boundary is employed for the analysis. Utilizing a proper translational addition theorem for expressing the incident spherical wave in terms of cylindrical wave expansions, the proposed boundary conditions at the interface are satisfied. Stresses are formulated by means of wave potential functions in a three-dimensional(3D) manner. The effects of the frequency and the radial distance between the source and borehole on the induced stresses are examined for the first cylindrical modes over frequency spectra. Two permeability conditions for the interface and three types of soils for the porous formation are considered throughout the analysis. To give an overall outline of the study, a numerical example is presented. The results clearly indicate that the distance is a key parameter and has considerable effects on the induced stress values. In addition, the interface permeability condition and soil characteristics play an important role in determining the dynamic response of the borehole. Finally,the obtained results are compared with the relevant analyses existing in the literature for some limit cases, and good agreement is achieved.

Molluscicidal effect of green synthesized silver nanoparticles using Azadirachta indica on Biomphalaria alexandrina snails and Schistosoma mansoni cercariae

TIME-dependent （TD） quantum wave packet theory, with a relatively small amount of computational effort, has been widely used in quantum dynamics calculation of atom and molecule reaction scattering. Many computational scaling advantages of the TD method can be found apparently in polyatomic system. In this note, by using the TD quantum wave packet method with the potential-averaged 5D model （PA5D）, we give the calculated results of reaction probabilities, cross sections and rate constants for the h2 + OD reaction. Polyesters consisting of substituted aromatic type Schiff base mesogenic unit andpolymethylene spacers were synthesized and their thermal transitions and liquid crystallineproperties were studied. The liquid crystalline behaviour has been characterized by differentialscanning calorimetry (DSC) and optical polarizing microscopy. Structural broadening bysubstitution of methoxy group in 2, 2' positions of the mesogenic core produce polymers withlower transition temperatures. Polymers synthesized from ortho and meta substituted phenylenediamine did not form a liquid crystal phase.

Nutritional stimulation by in-ovo feeding modulates cellular proliferation and differentiation in the small intestinal epithelium of chicks

Nutritional stimulation of the developing small intestine of chick embryos can be conducted by in-ovo feeding(IOF).We hypothesized that IOF of glutamine and leucine can enhance small intestinal development by promoting proliferation and differentiation of multipotent small intestinal epithelial *** embryos(n=128)were subject to IOF of glutamine(IOF-Gln),leucine(IOF-Leu),NaCl(IOF-NaCl)or no injection(control)at embryonic d 17(E 17).Multipotent,progenitor and differentiated cells were located and quantified in the small intestinal epithelium between E 17 and d 7 after hatch(D 7)in all treatment groups by immunofluorescence of SRY-box transcription factor 9(Sox9)and proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA),in-situ hybridization of leucine-rich repeat containing G-protein coupled receptor 5(Lgr5)and peptide transporter 1(PepT1)and histochemical goblet cell *** effects of IOF treatments at E 19(48 h post-IOF),in comparison to control embryos,were as follows:total cell counts increased by 40%,33%and 19%,and multipotent cell counts increased by 52%,50%and 38%,in IOF-Gln,IOF-Leu and IOF-NaCl embryos,*** IOF-Gln embryos exhibited a significance,36%increase in progenitor cell *** IOF treatments shifted Lgr5+ stem cell localizations to villus *** differentiated,PepT1+region of the villi was 1.9 and 1.3-fold longer in IOF-Gln and IOF-Leu embryos,respectively,while goblet cell densities decreased by 20%in IOF-Gln ***,crypt and villi epithelial cell counts were significantly higher IOF-Gln chicks,compared to control chicks(Phe peri-hatch period by promoting multipotent cell proliferation and differentiation,resulting in enhanced compartmentalization of multipotent and differentiated cell niches and expansions of the absorptive surface area.
