Molluscicidal effect of green synthesized silver nanoparticles using Azadirachta indica on Biomphalaria alexandrina snails and Schistosoma mansoni cercariae

Objective:To investigate the effect of rotifer internalization into snail tissue on the development of ***:Susceptible laboratory-bred Biomphalaria alexandrina(***)snails were exposed to lab-maintained rotifers;Philodinaspp.,two weeks before and after being infected with Schistosoma mansoni(***)*** consequent histopathological impact on snail tissues and cercarial biology were investigated before and after emergence from ***:Contamination of *** with philodina,two weeks before miracidial exposure,was found to hinder the preliminary development of *** inside the snail ***,when snails were contaminated with rotifers two weeks post miracidial exposure;growth of already established cercariae was found to be *** consequent influence of internalized rotifers within the snail tissue was clearly reflected on cercarial em ergence,activity and infectivity along the four weeks duration of *** the present study,comparison of snail histopathological findings and altered cercarial biology observed between the experimental and control groups indicated that the rotifers may have affected the levels of snail's energy reservoirs,which eventually was found to have had an adverse impacton reproduction,growth and survival of the parasite within the snail host,coupled with its performance outside the ***:In future biological control strategies of schistosomiasis,ritifers should be considered as a parasitic scourge of humanity.

Ransomware is considered one of the most threatening *** solutions have focused mainly on discriminating ransomware by analyzing the apps themselves,but they have overlooked possible ways of hiding ransomware apps and making them difficult to be detected and then ***,this paper proposes a novel ransomware hiding model by utilizing a block-based High-Efficiency Video Coding(HEVC)steganography *** main idea of the proposed steganography approach is the division of the secret ransomware data and cover HEVC frames into different *** that,the Least Significant Bit(LSB)based Hamming Distance(HD)calculation is performed amongst the secret data’s divided blocks and cover ***,the secret data bits are hidden into the marked bits of the cover HEVC frame-blocks based on the calculated HD *** main advantage of the suggested steganography approach is the minor impact on the cover HEVC frames after embedding the ransomware while preserving the histogram attributes of the cover video frame with a high *** is due to the utilization of an adaptive steganography cost function during the embedding *** proposed ransomware hiding approach was heavily examined using subjective and objective tests and applying different HEVC streams with diverse resolutions and different secret ransomware apps of various *** obtained results prove the efficiency of the proposed steganography approach by achieving high capacity and successful embedding process while ensuring the hidden ransomware’s undetectability within the video *** example,in terms of embedding quality,the proposed model achieved a high peak signal-to-noise ratio that reached 59.3 dB and a low mean-square-error of 0.07 for the examined HEVC ***,out of 65 antivirus engines,no engine could detect the existence of the embedded ransomware app.

Autoimmune pancreatitis has emerged over the last 40 years from a proposed concept to a well established and recognized entity. As an efficient mimicker of pancreatic carcinoma, its early and appropriate recognition are crucial. With mounting understanding of its pathogenesis and natural history, significant advances have been made in the diagnosis of autoimmune pancreatitis. The characteristic laboratory features and imaging seen in autoimmune pancreatitis are reviewed along with some of the proposed diagnostic criteria and treatment algorithms.

Nowadays,there is tremendous growth in biometric authentication and cybersecurity ***,the efficient way of storing and securing personal biometric patterns is mandatory in most governmental and private ***,designing and implementing robust security algorithms for users’biometrics is still a hot research area to be *** work presents a powerful biometric security system(BSS)to protect different biometric modalities such as faces,iris,and *** proposed BSSmodel is based on hybridizing auto-encoder(AE)network and a chaos-based ciphering algorithm to cipher the details of the stored biometric patterns and ensures their *** employed AE network is unsupervised deep learning(DL)structure used in the proposed BSS model to extract main biometric *** obtained features are utilized to generate two random chaos *** first random chaos matrix is used to permute the pixels of biometric *** contrast,the second random matrix is used to further cipher and confuse the resulting permuted biometric pixels using a two-dimensional(2D)chaotic logisticmap(CLM)*** assess the efficiency of the proposed BSS,(1)different standardized color and grayscale images of the examined fingerprint,faces,and iris biometrics were used(2)comprehensive security and recognition evaluation metrics were *** assessment results have proven the authentication and robustness superiority of the proposed BSSmodel compared to other existing *** example,the proposed BSS succeeds in getting a high area under the receiver operating characteristic(AROC)value that reached 99.97%and low rates of 0.00137,0.00148,and 3516 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.20.00157 for equal error rate(EER),false reject rate(fRR),and a false accept rate(fAR),respectively.

The microstructure and corrosion resistance of dissimilar weld-joints between stainless steel SAf 2205 and stainless steel AISI 316L were investigated. Welding was accomplished by different types of welding wires AWS ER 347, AWS ER 316L and AWS ER 309L. To verify soundness of welded samples, nondestructive tests were performed. Metallographic samples were prepared from cross-section areas of weld- joints to investigate microstructure of different regions of weld-joints by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Corrosion resistance of weld-joints was evaluated in NaCI solution by potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance techniques. In the weld metal AWS ER 347, the brittle sigma phase was created, resulting in the decrease of weld-joint corrosion resistance. According to the results of metallurgical investigations and corrosion tests, welding wire AWS ER 309L was suitable for welding duplex stainless steel （SAf 2205） to austenitic stainless steel （AIS1316L） by gas tungsten arc welding （GTAW） process.

Objective:To assess the concurrent toxoplasmosis infection in Egyptian TB patients and the impact of each infection on the other in terms of increased severity of TB or reactivation of latent Toxoplasma ***:Three hundred suspected pulmonary TB cases were initially screened for TB using direct Ziehl Neelsen staining and Lowenstein Jensen culture of their *** resistance was detected by Xpert MTB/RIf *** group of 30 age and sex-matched healthy individuals negative for TB was included for *** subjects were further assessed for serum levels of anti-Toxoplasma Ig G antibodies and malondialdehyde(MDA).Results:forty three confirmed TB-infected patients including 10(23.3%)rifampicin-resistant patients were *** toxoplasmosis was found to be significantly higher among TB patients(OR=2.709;95%CI:1.034-7.099;Pfampicin sensitive than rifampicin resistant TB patients(OR=0.213;95%CI:0.048-0.951);Pels of anti-Toxoplasma IgG antibodies and MDA were significantly higher among TB patients than the control ***,serum level of MDA was significantly higher among TB/Toxoplasma co-infected patients as compared to toxoplasmosis free-TB *** positive correlation was detected between serum levels of anti-Toxoplasma Ig G and MDA in TB patients(r=0.75,P=0.001).Conclusions:Among pulmonary TB Egyptian patients,there is a considerable prevalence of *** of pulmonary tuberculosis could be increased by Toxoplasma co-infection.

In nanocomposites,the interphase thickness may be comparable to the size of nano-particles,and hence,the effect of interphase layers on the mechanical properties of nanocomposites may be *** interphase thickness to the nano-particle size ratio and properties variability across the interphase thickness are the most important affecting parameters on the overall behavior of *** this study,the effect of properties variability across the interphase thickness on the overall elastic and elastoplastic properties of a polymeric clay nanocomposite(PCN)using a functionally graded(fG)interphase is investigated in *** results of the computational homogenization on the mesoscopic level show that Young’s modulus variation of the interphase has a significant effect on the overall elastic response of nanocomposites in a higher clay weight ratio(Wt).Moreover,strength variation through the interphase has a notable effect on the elasto-plastic properties of ***,the increase or decrease in stiffness of interphase from clay to matrix and vice versa have a similar effect in the overall behavior of nanocomposites.
