Warpage and Shrinkage Optimization of Injection-Molded Plastic Spoon Parts for Biodegradable Polymers Using Taguchi, ANOVA and Artificial Neural Network Methods

In this study, it is attempted to give an insight into the injection processability of three self-prepared polymers from A to Z. This work presents material analysis, injection molding simulation, design of ex- periments alongside considering all interaction effects of controlling parameters carefully for green biodegradable polymeric systems, including polylactic acid （PLA）, polylactic acid-thermoplastic poly- urethane （PLA-TPU） and polylactic acid-thermoplastic starch （PLA-TPS）. The experiments were carried out using injection molding simulation software Autodesk Moldflov~~ in order to minimize warpage and volumetric shrinkage for each of the mentioned systems. The analysis was conducted by changing five significant processing parameters, including coolant temperature, packing time, packing pressure, mold temperature and melt temperature. Taguchi＇s [.27 （35） orthogonal array was selected as an efficient method for design of simulations in order to consider the interaction effects of the parameters and reduce spu- rious simulations. Meanwhile, artificial neural network （ANN） was also used for pattern recognition and optimization through modifying the processing conditions. The Taguchi coupled analysis of variance （ANOVA） and ANN analysis resulted in definition of optimum levels for each factor by two completely different methods. According to the results, melting temperature, coolant temperature and packing time had significant influence on the shrinkage and warpage. The ANN optimal level selection for minimiza- tion of shrinkage and/or warpage is in good agreement with ANOVA optimal level selection results. This investigation indicates that PLA-TPU compound exhibits the highest resistance to warpage and shrink- age defects compared to the other studied compounds.

由溶胶-凝胶法制得的Ni-La化合物经热分解制备了纳米尺度NiLa2O4尖晶石,在750o C焙烧后形成了结晶良好的尖晶石结构.采用差热分析、X射线衍射、透射电镜、扫描电镜和粒度分布分析等手段表征了该尖晶石的物理化学性质.结果表明,该纳米颗粒有规则的外形和确定的晶面,由平均粒径为40 nm的规整半球晶粒组成.精修的晶胞参数a=3.861205和c=12.6793.在NaBH4选择还原亚胺制相应仲胺的反应中,该新型纳米NiLa2O4尖晶石可用作高效多相催化剂,得到了较高的产物产率.所有反应可在室温和相对较短的时间内完成.在优化的反应条件下,均可得到带有不同芳基的,包括带有吸电子和供电子基团的仲胺.该催化剂回收简便,重复使用4次,其催化活性未见明显下降.

Johanson-Blizzard syndrome(JBS) is a rare autosomal recessive disease characterized by exocrine pancreatic insufficiency,hypoplastic or aplastic nasal alae,cutis aplasia on the scalp,and other features including developmental delay,failure to thrive,hearing loss,mental retardation,hypothyroidism,dental abnormalities,and anomalies in cardiac and genitourinary *** than 60 cases of this syndrome have been reported to *** describe the case of a male infant with typical symptoms of *** addition,a new clinical feature which has not previously been documented,that is anemia requiring frequent blood transfusions and mild to moderate thrombocytopenia was observed.A molecular study was performed which revealed a novel homozygous UBR1 *** explanations for this new association are discussed.

An epidural blood patch (EBP) is a procedure performed by injecting autologous blood into a patient’s epidural space, usually at the site of a suspected CSF leak. It is typically performed in patients with characteristic postural headaches due to low intracranial pressure. We report a case of a young female with an implanted Miethke Sensor Reservoir, which was used for continuous intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring during a two-level epidural blood patch. ICP increased only with thoracic injection, suggesting thoracic EBP may have greater efficacy than lumbar EBP in treating SIH and PDPH when the site of CSF leak is unknown.

Objective:To assess the concurrent toxoplasmosis infection in Egyptian TB patients and the impact of each infection on the other in terms of increased severity of TB or reactivation of latent Toxoplasma ***:Three hundred suspected pulmonary TB cases were initially screened for TB using direct Ziehl Neelsen staining and Lowenstein Jensen culture of their *** resistance was detected by Xpert MTB/RIF *** group of 30 age and sex-matched healthy individuals negative for TB was included for *** subjects were further assessed for serum levels of anti-Toxoplasma Ig G antibodies and malondialdehyde(MDA).Results:Forty three confirmed TB-infected patients including 10(23.3%)rifampicin-resistant patients were *** toxoplasmosis was found to be significantly higher among TB patients(OR=2.709;95%CI:1.034-7.099;P<0.05)and among rifampicin sensitive than rifampicin resistant TB patients(OR=0.213;95%CI:0.048-0.951);P<0.05).Serum levels of anti-Toxoplasma IgG antibodies and MDA were significantly higher among TB patients than the control ***,serum level of MDA was significantly higher among TB/Toxoplasma co-infected patients as compared to toxoplasmosis free-TB *** positive correlation was detected between serum levels of anti-Toxoplasma Ig G and MDA in TB patients(r=0.75,P=0.001).Conclusions:Among pulmonary TB Egyptian patients,there is a considerable prevalence of *** of pulmonary tuberculosis could be increased by Toxoplasma co-infection.

Objective:To study virulence and regulatory genes(hlyA,ctxB,tcpI) in clinical strains of Vibrio ckolerae(***),***:Three important genes,tepI,hlyA and ctxB were used for detection of toxigenic and pathogenic *** by chain reaction assay method. Results:According to the results of the PCR,the incidence of hlyA,tcpI,and ctxB genes in clinical isolates was obtained as 94.7%(72 sample),90.8%(69 sample),and 92.1%(70 sample), *** strains possessed all genes except ctxB,six strains possessed all genes except tcpI,four strains possessed all genes except hlyA,one strain possessed only hlyA and 60 strains contained a combination of three *** hlyA,ctxB and tcpI,Conclusions:Result show that this method could be reliable to detect toxigenic-pathogenic strains of *** in Iran.
