The ef.ect of.chemical reaction on f.ee convection heat and mass transf.r f.r a non-newtonian power law f.uid over a vertical f.at plate embedded in a f.uid-saturated porous medium has been studied in the presence of.the yield stress and the Soret ef.ect. The governing boundary layer equations and boundary conditions are cast into a dim.n- sionless f.rm by similarity transf.rmations, and the resulting system of.equations is solved by a f.nite dif.erence method. The results are preSented and discussed f.r concentration prof.les, as well as the nusselt number and the Sherwood number f.r various values of.the parameters, which govern the problem. The results obtained show that the f.ow f.eld is inf.uenced appreciably by the presence of.the chemical reaction parameter γ the order *** chemical reaction parameter m, the Soret number St, the buoyancy ratio n, the Lewis number Le, and the dim.nsionless rheological parameter Ω.

The pressure broadening in the f.r wings, where the sodium na(3 p ← 3 s) resonance line is perturbed by ground lithium Li(2 s) atoms, has been theoretically analyzed. The naLi potential–energy curves and the transition dipole moments are constructed by using a reliable ab initio data points to carry out the reduced-absorption coef.icients k_r(ν, T). This quantum-mechanical investigation have demonstrated that the naLi prof.le spectra show a satellite f.ture in the red wing at wavelength λ = 685 nm in the temperature range 4000 K–1.8 × 10~4 K. The computation could also exhibit a second satellite, in the blue wing, near the wavelength λ = 574 nm beyond 6000 K and a third peak located at λ = 490 nm which begins to appear at 1.8 × 10~4 K.

We present a method to f.bricate handcraf.ed thermoelectric devices on standard of.ice paper *** devices are based on thin f.lms of.WS_(2),Te,and BP(P-type semiconductors)and TiS_(3)and TiS_(2)(n-type semiconductors),deposited by simply rubbing powder of.these materials against *** thermoelectric properties of.these semiconducting f.lms revealed maximum Seebeck coef.icients of.+1.32±0.27)mV K^(-1)and(-0.82±0.15)mV K^(-1)f.r WS_(2)and TiS_(3),***,Peltier elements were f.bricated by interconnecting the P-and n-type f.lms with graphite electrodes.A thermopower value up to 6.11 mV K^(-1)was obtained when the Peltier element were constructed with three *** f.ndings of.this work show proof.of.concept devices to illustrate the potential application of.semiconducting van der Waals materials in f.ture thermoelectric power generation as well as temperature sensing f.r low-cost disposable electronic devices.

This paper introduces a non-conventional approach with multi-dim.nsional random sampling to solve a cocaine abuse model with statistical probability. The mean Latin hypercube f.nite dif.erence (mLHf.) method is proposed f.r the f.rst time via hybrid integration of.the classical numerical f.nite dif.erence (f.) f.rmula with Latin hypercube sampling (LHS) technique to create a random distribution f.r the model parameters which are dependent on time t. The LHS technique gives advantage to mLHf. method to produce f.st variation of.the parameters' values via number of.multidim.nsional simulations (100, 1000 and 5000). The generated Latin hypercube sample which is random or non-deterministic in nature is f.rther integrated with the f. method to complete one cycle of.LHS-f. simulation iteration. This process is repeated until n f.nal iterations of.LHS-f. are obtained. The means of.these n f.nal solutions (mLHf. solutions) are tabulated, graphed and analyzed. The numerical simulation results of.mLHf. f.r the SEIR model are presented side-by-side with deterministic solutions obtained f.om the classical f. scheme and homotopy analysis method with Pade approximation (HAm-Pade). The present mLHf. results are also compared with the previous non-deterministic statistical estimations f.om 1995 to 2015. Good agreement between the two is perceived with small errors. mLHf. method can be used to predict f.ture behavior, range and prediction interval f.r the epidemic model solutions. The expected prof.les of.the cocaine abuse subpopulations are projected until the year 2045. Both the statistical estimations and the deterministic results of.f. and HAm-Pade are f.und to be within the mLHf. prediction intervals f.r all the years and f.r all the subpopulations considered.

An analysis of.the changes in vegetation cover on the territory of.the Republic of.Khakassia in 2000–2021 due to climatic trends was carried out based on the mODIS *** changes in vegetation cover were estimated based on trends in normalized Dif.erence Vegetation Index(nDVI)and Enhanced Vegetation Index(EVI).In general,in the 21st century,an increase in the biomass of.vegetation cover is *** trends were observed in 16%–22%of.the territory,and negative only in 1%–3%.f.r about 20%of.the analyzed territory,a signif.cant inf.uence of.climate on the changes in vegetation cover was *** most pronounced negative impact on vegetation cover was caused by summer air and soil temperatures,spring temperature,and summer winds,and the positive impact was caused by summer precipitation and soil *** response of.the vegetation cover to climate was non-unif.rm concerning the ***,a signif.cant correlation with the amount of.precipitation was observed f.r~20%–35%of.vegetation growing below 600 m above sea level and f.r less than 5%above this *** negative ef.ect of.summer temperatures on plants prevailed mainly at an elevation below~1400 m above sea *** climate change is likely to lead to signif.cant degradation of.vegetation in the steppe and f.reststeppe in Khakassia in the coming decades.

Triatomines （Hemiptera： Reduviidae） are obligate hematophagous insects. They are of.medical importance because they are vectors of.Trypanosoma cruzi, the causative agent of.Chagas disease in the Americas. In recent years, the RnA interf.rence （RnAi） technology has emerged as a practical and usef.l alternative means of.studying gene f.nction in insects, including triatomine bugs. RnAi research in triatomines is still in its early stages, several issues still need to be elucidated, including the description of.the molecules involved in the RnAi machinery and aspects related to phenotype evaluation and persistence of.the knockdown in dif.erent tissues and organs. This review considers recent applications of.RnAi to triatomine research, describing the major methods that have been applied during the knockdown process such as the double-stranded RnA delivery mechanism （injection, microinjection, or ingestion） and the phenotype characterization （mRnA and target protein levels） in studies conducted with the intent to provide greater insights into the biology of.these insects. In addition to the characterization of.insect biomolecules, some with biopharmacological potential, RnAi may provide a new view of.the interaction between triatomine and trypanosomatids, enabling the development of.new measures f.r vector control and transmission of.the parasite.

In this study the probable seismic behavior of.skewed bridges with continuous decks under earthquake excitations f.om dif.erent directions is investigated. A 45° skewed bridge is studied. A suite of.20 records is used to perf.rm an Incremental Dynamic Analysis （IDA） f.r f.agility curves. f.ur dif.erent earthquake directions have been considered： -45°, 0°, 22.5, 45°. A sensitivity analysis on dif.erent spectral intensity measures is presented; ef.iciency and practicality of.dif.erent intensity measures have been studied. The f.agility curves obtained indicate that the critical direction f.r skewed bridges is the skew direction as well as the longitudinal direction. The study shows the importance of.f.nding the most critical earthquake in understanding and predicting the behavior of.skewed bridges.

This paper provides a review of.the intrinsic and extrinsic f.ctors af.ecting the uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)of.cemented tailings backf.ll(CTB).The consideration is that once CTB is poured into underground stopes,its strength is heavily inf.uenced by f.ctors internal to the CTB as well as the surrounding mining ***-reviewed journal articles,books,and conf.rence papers published between 2000 and 2022 were searched electronically f.om various databases and *** sources,such as doctoral theses,were obtained f.om academic *** important f.nding f.om the review is that the addition of.f.bers was reported to improve the UCS of.CTB in some studies while decrease in *** discrepancy was accounted to the dif.erent properties of.f.bers *** research is theref.re needed to determine the“pref.rred”f.ber to be used in *** f.ndings were also reported on the ef.ects of.stope size on the UCS of.***,the use of.f.y ash as an alternative binder may be threatened in the f.ture when reliance on the coal power ***,an alternative cementitious by-product to be used together with f.rnace slag may be required in the ***,while most studies on backf.ll f.cused on single-layered structures,layered backf.ll design models should also be investigated.
