This paper introduces biogas potential of animal waste in Bursa,an important agricultural,industrial and tourism centre in northwest *** research has focused on Bursa’s biogas potential from animal *** potential quantity of electric energy,the potential amount of biogas as well as potential bio-electric energy per capita to be obtained from animal wastes were *** the evaluation of biogas potential is conducted thoroughly,1.12% of the electricity consumption of Bursa can be met with the conversion of biogas from animal wastes into *** study also revealed that the power for 95% of street lighting,approximately twofold of the electricity consumed in official apartments and all of the agricultural irrigation operations can be provided with electrical energy obtained from biogas obtained from animal wastes in *** addition,the research efficiency was improved by creating thematic maps in GIS,which enabled differences in data among the districts to be observed more clearly.

Leishmaniasis is a serious parasitic disease caused by Leishmania species transmitted by the bite of sandflies. This disease is also an important public health problem. Clinical manifestations can be classified as cutaneous, mucocutaneous, and visceral leishmaniasis, depending on the species of parasite and the host’s immune status. Although the cutaneous form is not fatal, it often causes disfiguring scars on the skin[1].

Objective:Patients with gynecological cancer commonly use complementary and alternative medicine(CAM)methods to cope with the ***,despite the existence of treatment strategies,the effect of fear and anxiety caused by coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic on attitudes about CAM use is *** study was carried out to investigate the effect of fear and anxiety experienced by patients with gynecological cancer during the COVID-19 pandemic on their attitudes towards the use of ***:This is a cross-sectional and descriptive study that included 177 women with gynecological cancer;participants were recruited from a social networking site for cancer patients in Turkey between June and December *** were collected using an online survey that included the Personal Information Form,the Fear of COVID-19 Scale,the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale,and the Attitude Towards Holistic Complementary and Alternative Medicine *** statistics,t-test,Pearson’s correlation test,and simple linear and multiple regression analyses were performed to analyze the ***:During the pandemic,55.4%of the participants reported using CAM methods,but only 22.6%were using CAM before the *** participants who used CAM during the pandemic also scored higher on the fear of COVID-19 and coronavirus anxiety scales(20.69±5.37 and 13.09±6.29,respectively)compared to the participants who did not use CAM(9.29±2.72 and 6.35±2.06,respectively).Fear of COVID-19 accounted for 52%of the CAM attitude score,while coronavirus anxiety accounted for 15%of the CAM attitude *** of COVID-19 and coronavirus anxiety together accounted for 53%of CAM ***:Gynecological cancer patients with high levels of COVID-19-related anxiety and fear during the pandemic used CAM *** that the psychological effects of the pandemic will continue in the coming years,CAM use should be evaluated as a coping strategy,especially due to the COVID-19-related anxiety an

Recent evidence exists that enoxaparin can reduce brain injury because of its anticoagulant activity. To investigate the potential therapeutic effect of enoxaparin on cold-induced traumatic brain injury, at 20 minutes after modeling, male BALB/c mouse models of cold-induced traumatic brain injury were intraperitoneally administered 3 and 10 mg/kg enoxaparin or isotonic saline solution. Twenty-four hours later, enoxaparin at 10 mg/kg greatly reduced infarct volume, decreased cell apoptosis in the cortex and obviously increased serum level of total antioxidant status. By contrast, administration of enoxaparin at 3 mg/kg did not lead to these changes. These findings suggest that enoxaparin exhibits neuroprotective effect on cold-induced traumatic brain injury in a dose-dependent manner.

AIM： To characterize and compare genotype profiles of H pylori strains isolated from patients with chronic gastritis and duodenal ulcer in western part of Turkey. METHODS： A total of 46 patients [30 chronic gastritis （CG） and 16 duodenal ulcer （DU）] who had undergone endoscopy because of dyspeptic complaints were studied. The antral biopsy specimens were evaluated for the presence of Hpylori by rapid urease test and culture, and the genotype profiles were determined by real-time PCR. RESULTS： The cagA gene was observed in 43 （93.5%） isolates. The vacA s1m2 genotype was the predominant subtype, found in 63.3% and 68.7% of isolates in patients with CG and DU, respectively. Twenty （66.6%） isolates from patients with CG were iceA2 positive while the iceA1 was predominant in those with DU （68.8%）. In terms of the association of the ice,4 alleles to other genes, both alleles were significantly associated with the cagA vacA slm2 genotype. CONCLUSION： The prevalent circulating genotypes in CG and DU were cagA vacA slm2 iceA2 and cagA vacA slm2 iceA1 genotype, respectively. It was found that cagA vacA slm2 genotype seems to be common virulence factors in both CG and DU while iceA alleles show specificity for gastroduodenal pathologies in this study.

This study propose a new robust method to rank the performances of multi-assets （portfolios）, based purely on their return time series. This method makes no assumption on the distributions. Topsoe distance is symmetrized Kullback-Leibler divergence by average of the probabilities. The square root of Topsoe distance is a metric. We extend this metric from probability density functions to real number series on （0, 1 ]. We call it ST-metric. We show the consistency of ST-metric with mean-variance theory and stochastic dominance method of order one and two. We demonstrate the advantages of ST-metric over mean-variance rule and stochastic dominance method of order one and two.

The Key to Second Language Writing Performance： The Relationship Between Lexical Competence and Writing

Vocabulary knowledge is an important component of the writing skill and it has many dimensions, such as size, depth, and productive, in interaction with writing skill. To evaluate this relation and determine which dimension is the most effective for second language writing quality, the present study was conducted. Turkish EFL （English as a Foreign Language） learners＇ lexical competence and writing abilities were examined through their vocabulary profiles and academic essays. The results of each vocabulary measure indicated that the participants had a limited vocabulary size, containing words mostly from 2,000 to 3,000 frequency bands and thus, the productive vocabulary knowledge of the participants mostly consisted of lk ＋ 2k words and the use of academic words in their essays was very low. The results of the study revealed that the lexical competence covering the main components of vocabulary knowledge was a good predictor of the students＇ quality of writing performance.
