The identification of jets or.ginating fr.m quar.s and gluons,often r.fer.ed to as quar./gluon tagging,plays an impor.ant r.le in var.ous analyses per.or.ed at the Lar.e Hadr.n Collider.as Standar. Model measur.ments and sear.hes for.new par.icles decaying to quar.s often r.ly on suppr.ssing a lar.e gluon-induced *** paper.descr.bes the measur.ment of the efficiencies of quar./gluon tagger. developed within the ATLAS Collabor.tion,using √s=13 TeV pr.ton–pr.ton collision data with an integr.ted luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** tagger. with high per.or.ances in r.jecting jets fr.m gluon over.jets fr.m quar.s ar. studied:one tagger.is based on r.quir.ments on the number.of inner.detector.tr.cks associated with the jet,and the other.combines sever.l jet substr.ctur. obser.ables using a boosted decision tr.e.A method is established to deter.ine the quar./gluon fr.ction in data,by using quar./gluon-enr.ched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation ar. pr.vided for.jets with tr.nsver.e momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for.multiple tagger.wor.ing points.

Identification of the pr.cise molecular.pathways involved in oncogene-induced tr.nsfor.ation may help us gain a better.under.tanding of tumor.initiation and pr.motion. Her., we demonstr.te that SOX2^+ for.gut epithelial cells ar. pr.ne to oncogenic tr.nsfor.ation upon mutagenic insults, such as Kr.s^G12D and p53 deletion. GFP-based lineage-tr.cing exper.ments indicate that SOX2^+ cells ar. the cells-of-or.gin of esophagus and stomach hyper.lasia. Our.obser.ations indicate distinct r.les for.oncogenic Kr.S mutation and P53 deletion. p53 homozygous deletion is r.quir.d for.the acquisition of an invasive potential, and Kr.s^G12D expr.ssion, but not p53 deletion, suffices for.tumor.for.ation. Global gene expr.ssion analysis r.veals secr.ting factor. upr.gulated in the hyper.lasia induced by oncogenic Kr.S and highlights a cr.cial r.le for.the CXCr. pathway in dr.ving hyper.lasia. Collectively, the ar.ay of genetic models pr.sented her. demonstr.te that str.tified epithelial cells ar. susceptible to oncogenic insults, which may lead to a better.under.tanding of tumor.initiation and aid in the design of new cancer.ther.peutics.

The negative effects of hydr.gen embr.ttlement on metallic systems have been investigated thr.ugh deter.ination of the mechanical pr.per.ies of two metallic systems that wer. exposed to hydr.gen. An assessment of the effects of hydr.gen absor.tion/desor.tion cycling on the tensile str.ngth, ductility, and micr.har.ness of pur. palladium and the alloy palladium-silver.(25 weight% silver. has been under.aken. The var.ables that ar. the focus of the study ar. the amount of hydr.gen absor.ed by the metal, deuter.um isotope effect, number.of hydr.gen absor.tion/desor.tion cycles, and the hydr.gen exposur. temper.tur.. Under.all conditions studied, the mechanical pr.per.ies of pur. palladium wer. significantly alter.d as a r.sult of hydr.gen exposur., with significant hydr.gen embr.ttlement occur.ing. In contr.st, the mechanical pr.per.ies of the palladium-silver.alloy showed little alter.tion as a r.sult of hydr.gen exposur., including vir.ually no occur.ence of hydr.gen embr.ttlement.
