In an era of graphene-based nanomaterials as the most widely studied two-dimensional (2D) materials for enhanced performance of devices and systems in solar energy conversion applications, molybdenum disulfide (moS2) stands out as a promising alternative 2D material with excellent properties. This review first examined various methods for moS2 synthesis. It, then, summarized the unique structure and properties of moS2 nanosheets. Finally, it presented the latest advances in the use of m0S2 nanosheets for important solar energy applications, including solar thermal water purification, photocatalytic process, and photoelectrocatalytic process.

微胶囊饲料对大黄鱼仔鱼生长、消化和非特异性免疫酶活性的影响

微胶囊饲料(microencapsulated diet)以其营养丰富、适口性强、稳定性好等特点,被普遍认为是一种比较理想的水产育苗饲料。本实验利用自制微胶囊饲料作为大黄鱼育苗饲料,分别以0%(对照组)、25%、50%和75%的比例与生物饵料配合来培育10日龄的大黄鱼仔稚苗,饲养15日和32日,分别在25日龄和42日龄测量其体全长和体重,通过对微胶囊饲料的理化性质,大黄鱼的生长发育指标、总蛋白浓度、组织中的消化酶、以及非特异性免疫指标的对比,研究不同饲料配方对大黄鱼仔稚鱼生长的影响。结果显示:1.微胶囊饲料具有合适的粒径(1号微胶囊饲料粒径大致为27.77±1 1.83μm,2号微胶囊饲料粒径大致为35.26±11.64μm)、较好的悬浮性(1号微胶囊饲料33.80±1.08%,2号微胶囊饲料20.67±0.26%)和较低的溶解率(1号微胶囊饲料3.20±0.32%,2号微胶囊饲料8.30±0.46%)等特点,而且营养均衡,因为外层有包膜,水中稳定性也很好。2.微胶囊饲料对大黄鱼稚鱼生长状况的影响随着微胶囊饲料所占比例的增加,大黄鱼稚鱼的体全长和体重均减小,100%生物饵料组的体全长和体重最大,分别为20.88±1.40mm和60.96±5.80mg,但25%微胶囊饲料+75%生物饵料与其差异不显著(P>0.05),说明微胶囊饲料在一定程度上可以部分替代生物饵料。体全长的特定生长率随着稚鱼长大而逐渐减小,体重的特定生长率在10-25日龄呈下降趋势,25-42日龄呈上升趋势。存活率最高的是100%生物饵料组,为20.54%。3.微胶囊饲料对大黄鱼稚鱼总蛋白浓度的影响本实验使用南京建成生物工程研究所生产的测试盒用BCA法通过测定吸光度来测定大黄鱼稚鱼的总蛋白浓度,随着微胶囊饲料所占比例的增加,总蛋白浓度逐渐增加。4.微胶囊饲料对大黄鱼消化指标的影响本实验使用南京建成生物工程研究所生产的测试盒用碘-淀粉比色法通过测定吸光度来测定大黄鱼稚鱼的淀粉酶活性,用50T/48样法通过测定吸光度来测定大黄鱼稚鱼的脂肪酶活性,用试剂盒法通过测定吸光度来测定大黄鱼稚鱼的胃蛋白酶、胰蛋白酶活性。实验组大黄鱼组织中淀粉酶活力基本上均高于对照组。大黄鱼组织中脂肪酶活力除25日龄后段组外,实验组脂肪酶活力均高于对照组,25日龄后段组脂肪酶活力随着微胶囊饲料所占比例的增加逐渐降低。大黄鱼组织中胃蛋白酶活力除42日龄后段组外,实验组胃蛋白酶活力均高于对照组,42日龄后段组胃蛋白酶活力随着微胶囊饲料所占比例的增加逐渐降低。大黄鱼组织中胰蛋白酶活力除25日龄前段组外,实验组胰蛋白酶活力均高于对照组,且呈上升趋势;25日龄前段组中,D75组的胃蛋白酶活力最大,为6.65±0.09,与其他组差异极显著(Pmgprot。溶菌酶(LZm)含量计算值均为负数,可能是鱼苗尚小,还没有产生溶菌酶。对于大黄鱼稚鱼的碱性磷酸酶(AKP)活力,25日龄和42日龄的前段组呈下降趋势,后段组呈上升趋势;25日龄的碱性磷酸酶活力又均高于42日龄,说明25日龄的大黄鱼稚鱼非特异性免疫能力较高一点。

Background:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most common cause of cancer-related death in Saudi *** study aimed to investigate the patterns of HCC and the effect of TNm staging,Alfa-fetoprotein(AFP),and Child-Turcotte Pugh(CTP)on patients’overall survival(OS).methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 43 HCC patients at a single oncology center in Saudi Arabia from 2015 to *** patients had to fulfill one of the following criteria:(a)a liver lesion reported as definitive HCC on dynamic imaging and/or(b)a biopsy-confirmed ***:The mean patient age of all HCC cases was 66.8 with a male-to-female ratio of 3.3:*** patients were stratified into two groups:viral HCC(n=22,51%)and non-viral HCC(n=21,49%).Among viral-HCC patients,55%were due to HBV and 45%due to *** was diagnosed in 79%of *** and sex did not significantly statistically differ in OS among viral and non-viral HCC patients(p-value>0.05).About 65%of patients had tumor size>5 cm during the diagnosis,with a significant statistical difference in OS(p-value=0.027).AFP was>400 ng/ml in 45%of the *** was a statistically significant difference in the OS in terms of AFP levels(p-value=0.021).A statistically significant difference was also observed between the CTP score and OS(p-value=0.02).CTP class B had the longest *** was the most common treatment provided to HCC patients followed by sorafenib *** was a significant statistical difference in OS among viral and non-viral HCC patients(p-value=0.008).Conclusions:The most common predictors for OS were the underlying cause of HCC,AFP,and tumor *** having non-viral etiology,a tumor size>5 cm,an AFP>400 ng/mL,and a CTP score class C were all negatively associated with OS.

Obesity is a CVD risk factor that can be modulated for massive reduction in morbi-mortality. Traditional indices measuring it have been inconsistent and the most commonly used;BmI has proved inappropriate for Africans, not attending specifically to body fat and its distribution. With the consensus that intra-abdominal fat is the most critical for cardio-metabolic diseases, various attempts were made to measure it for risk estimation. These however require costly equipments not easily amenable for population studies. The abdominometer conceptualized by BNO has shown promise in isolated cases. This pilot study was undertaken in this restricted population to compare its utility with existing anthropometric measures of cardiovascular disease.

To determine passive haemagglutination (PHA) antibody titer that would protect chicks against Nigerian isolates of the Infectious Bursa Disease Virus (IBDV), five groups of chicks aged 30 days which had different antibody titers were challenged with a Nigerian isolate of virulent IBDV. mortality rates of the different groups were plotted against their respective mean PHA antibody titers. A group with zero antibody titer had a mortality rate of 75% while those with PHA antibody titers of 185.6, 243.2, 256 and 307.2 had mortality rates of 40%, zero, zero and zero respectively. Linear equation generated for a line of best fit of the graph of mortality rates of the chicks on their IBD antibody titers gave antibody titer (X) at which mortality (Y) would be zero as 300. A mortality of 75% and the high antibody level needed to protect chicks suggest that the isolate may be a hypervirulent strain.
