In order to solve the c.ntradic.ion between the rapidly growing energy demand and the exc.ssive exploitation of fossil fuels,it is urgent to researc. and develops more environmentally friendly and effic.ent energy storage ***,the development of high-performanc. c.thode materials to enhanc. the energy density of SIB is c.rrently one of the most important topic. of sc.entific.*** high-voltage and low-c.st c.thode material for SIBs,a c.mposite of c.rbon-c.ated Na_(4)Mnc.(PO_(4))_(3)(NASIc.N-type),polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP),and modified c.rbon nanotubes(c.Ts)is prepared by sol-gel and freeze-drying *** to the high c.nduc.ivity of c.Ts,the c.nduc.ivity of the c.mposite is signific.ntly improved,and its initial c.pac.ty is inc.eased to 114 mAh/g at 0.5 c.and 96 mAh/g at 5 c.Mn^(2+)/Mn^(4+)c.nversion for voltage windows 1.4-4.3 V).Moreover,the multi-elec.rons transfer of c.^(3+)/c.^(4+) and Mn^(2+)/Mn^(4+) c.n provide a high c.pac.ty of 165 mAh/g at 0.1 c.and 102 mAh/g at 5 c.in the high voltage window of 1.4-4.6 ***,PVP c.n effec.ively inhibit the Jahn-Teller effec. c.used by Mn ion,making the c.mposite have more exc.llent high-rate performanc. and *** addition,GITT,EIS and c. c.rves were drawn to better reveal the exc.llent kinetic.properties of Na_(4)Mnc.(PO_(4))_(3)@c.PVP@c.T c.thode,and the mec.anism of its performanc. improvement is deeply studied and ***,the c.-doping of c.Ts and PVP is a simple way to high c.nduc.ivity and fast c.arging of c.thode materials for SIBs.

The REAl(Si,Ge)(RE=rare earth)family,known to break both the inversion-and time-reversal symmetries,represents one of the most suitable platforms for investigating the interplay between c.rrelated-elec.ron phenomena and topologic.lly nontrivial ***,we report on systematic.magnetic.transport,and muon-spin rotation and relaxation(μSR)measurements on(Nd,Sm)AlGe single c.ystals,whic. exhibit antiferromagnetic.AFM)transitions at T_(N)=6.1 and 5.9 K,*** addition,NdAlGe undergoes also an inc.mmensurate-to-c.mmensurate ferrimagnetic.transition at 4.5 *** transverse-fieldμSR measurements c.nfirm the AFM transitions,featuring a~90%magnetic.volume ***-field(ZF)μSR measurements reveal a more disordered internal field distribution in NdAlGe than in SmAlGe,reflec.ed in a larger transverse muon-spin relaxation rateλTat Tc.mplex magnetic.struc.ure of NdAlGe,whic. undergoes a series of metamagnetic.transitions in an external magnetic.field,while SmAlGe shows only a robust AFM *** NdAlGe,the topologic.l Hall effec.(THE)appears between the first and the sec.nd metamagnetic.transitions for H‖c.while it is absent in *** THE in NdAlGe is most likely attributed to the field-induc.d topologic.l spin *** longitudinal muon-spin relaxation rateλL,diverges near the AFM order,followed by a c.ear drop at Tc.lly ordered state,spin fluc.uations are signific.ntly stronger in NdAlGe than in *** general,our longitudinal-fieldμSR data indic.te vigorous spin fluc.uations in NdAlGe,thus providing valuable insights into the origin of THE and of the possible topologic.l spin textures in REAl(Si,Ge)Weyl semimetals.

The Ni-c.-platinum group element sulfide ore deposits of the Kharaelakh Intrusion,Noril′sk Region,Siberia,represent a large c.nc.ntration of sulfides assoc.ated with a small differentiated intrusion formed at the edge of the Siberian c.aton in the roots of the Siberian Trap flood *** deposit is assoc.ated with an intrusion that oc.upies a flanking peric.inal struc.ure adjac.nt to the Noril′sk-Kharaelakh *** intrusion is strongly differentiated and c.mprises taxitic.gabbrodolerites,pic.itic.gabbrodolerites,and gabbrodolerites within the main body whic. in turn forms a c.onolith within a sheet-like intrusion that extends laterally to form extensive undifferentiated sills of *** intrusion substantially replac.s the stratigraphy of the c.untry roc.s,and although it appears to have exploited the axis of struc.ures developed in response to transtension,the intrusion has c.eated spac. by both mec.anic.l dilation of stratigraphy and magmatic.replac.ment of pre-existing sedimentary *** frontal lobes of the main intrusion have c.mplex apophyses of gabrodolerite on a range of sc.les that demonstrate replac.ment of the sedimentary roc.s and link to the development of an extensive metamorphic.halo in the c.untry *** halo is muc. narrower over the main body of the intrusion,and these observations have implic.tions for the thermal history of the ***-skarns and brec.ias are developed in the roof of the main body of the *** the intrusion,the taxitic.roc.s c.ntain vesic.es and the blebby sulfides developed in the pic.itic.and taxitic.gabbrodolerites appear to have a linkage to volatile *** sulfide mineralization developed at the roof of the Kharaelakh Intrusion is assoc.ated with metamorphosed and skarn-bearing c.untry roc.s,and appears to have been generated by a c.mbination of sulfide frac.ionation and assoc.ated *** geologic.l relationships appear c.nsistent with a c.onolith model for the develo

Investigation of c.upled c.balt-silver nanopartic.e system by plan view TEM

We present a transmission elec.ron mic.osc.py (TEM) investigation of a c.upled c.balt and silver nanopartic.e system. A plan view in situ lift-out method for preparing samples for TEM using the foc.sed ion beam (FIB) mic.osc.pe was used. This tec.nique is used to prepare high quality TEM samples with site spec.fic.ty in a short time and with a high suc.ess rate. We demonstrate the ability of the plan view sample preparation tec.nique to provide information about an ordered system of nanopartic.es whic. c.uld not be observed using standard FIB c.oss sec.ioning of the sample. High resolution TEM and energy dispersive X-ray spec.rosc.py mapping of both c.oss sec.ional and plan view samples are presented, c.early showing the signific.nt benefit of plan view TEM analysis for c.rtain samples.

Mesomorphism of Lanthanide(Ⅲ) 4-Hexyloxybenzoates

The 4-alkoxybenzoic.ac.ds are well-known liquid c.ystals showing several mesophases (nematic. smec.ic.c.phase or both) depending on the alkoxy c.ain length and whereby the rigid c.re of the mesogen is formed by intermolec.lar hydrogen bonds. In this paper it is shown that the thermal behaviour of lanthanide salts of 4-hexyloxybenzoic.ac.ds depends on the lanthanide ion (Ln=La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu). The lanthanum(Ⅲ) and praseodymium(Ⅲ) 4-hexyloxybenzoates exhibit a smec.ic.A mesophase. No mesophase is found for the c.rresponding c.mpounds of heavier lanthanides. The thermal properties of the lanthanide(Ⅲ) 4-hexyloxybenzoates were investigated by differential sc.nning c.lorimetry (DSc., polarising thermo-optic.l mic.osc.py and sync.rotron X-ray radiation.

We employ elec.ronic.struc.ure c.lc.lations to show that a(111)-oriented(LaMnO_(3))_(12)∣(SrMnO_(3))_(6)superlattic. retains a half-metallic.ferromagnetic.c.arac.er despite its large *** link this behaviour to the strain and the oc.ahedral c.nnec.ivity between the *** also gives rise to breathing modes,whic. are c.upled to c.arge and spin osc.llations,whose c.mponents have a pure e_(g)*** interestingly,the magnetisation reac.es its maximum value inside the LaMnO_(3)region and not at the interfac.,whic. is fundamentally different from what observed for the(001)*** inter-atomic.exc.ange c.upling shows that the magnetic.order arises from the double-exc.ange mec.anism,despite c.mpeting interac.ions inside the SrMnO_(3)***,the van Vlec. distortions and the spin osc.llations are c.uc.ally affec.ed by the variation of Hund’s exc.ange and c.arge doping,whic. allows us to spec.late that our system behaves as a Hund’s metal,c.eating an interesting c.nnec.ion between manganites and nic.elates.
