Precise measurements of the b.ron-to-carb.n and b.ron-to-oxygen ratios b. Age and gender are the important factors for b.ain metab.lic declines in b.th normal aging and neurodegeneration,and the confounding effects may influence early and differential diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases b.sed on the[^(18)F]fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography([^(18)F]FDG PET).We aimed to explore the potential of the adjustment of age-and gender-related confounding factors on[^(18)F]FDG PET images in differentiation of Parkinson’s disease(PD),multiple system atrophy(MSA)and progressive supra-nuclear palsy(PSP).Eight hundred and seventy-seven clinically definitely diagnosed Parkinsonian patients from a b.nchmark Huashan Parkinsonian PET imaging datab.se were *** age-and gender-adjusted Z(AGAZ)score was estab.ished b.sed on the gender-specific longitudinal metab.lic changes on healthy *** scores and standardized uptake value ratio(SUVR)values were quantified at regional-level and support vector machine-b.sed error-correcting output codes method was applied for *** references of the classifications b.sed on metab.lic pattern scores were *** feature-b.sed AGAZ score showed the b.st performance in classification(accuracy for PD,MSA,PSP:93.1%,96.3%,94.8%).In b.th genders,the AGAZ score con-sistently achieved the b.st efficiency,and the improvements compared to the conventional SUVR value for PD,MSA,and PSP mainly laid in specificity(Male:5.7%;Female:11.1%),sensitivity(Male:7.2%;Female:7.3%),and sensitivity(Male:7.3%;Female:17.2%).Female patients b.nefited more from the adjustment on[^(18)F]FDG PET in MSA and PSP groups(ab.olute net reclassification index,pb.st improvement from this correction.

AIM: To examine whether the heteroplasmy level for 15059G>A mutation in the mitochondrial genome might b. associated with essential hypertension. METHODS: This cross-sectional study involved 196 unrelated participants randomly selected from general population (90 males and 106 females) who underwent a regular medical check-up at the Institute for Ath-erosclerosis Research (Moscow, Russia). One hundred and twenty of them (61%) had essential hypertension, and 76 (39%) were apparently healthy normotensive persons. The level of heteroplasmy for 15059G>A mutation occurring in the coding region of cytochrome b.gene (MT-CYb. of mtDNA isolated from the b.ood leukocytes, was quantified using DNA pyrosequencing method. RESULTS: The 15059G>A heteroplasmy level ranged b.tween 4% and 83%, with a median level of 31%. b.tween the upper and lower quartiles of 15059G>A heteroplasmy distrib.tion, significant differences were ob.erved for patients’ age, systolic b.ood pressure, and triglyceride levels. 15059G>A heteroplasmy correlated b.th with age (r = 0.331, P b.lity of 15059G>A heteroplasmy, and hypertension independently explains more 5% variab.lity. The 15059G>A heteroplasmy exceeding 31% was found to b. significantly associated with a higher risk of essential hypertension (odds ratio 2.76; P (Fisher) 0.019]. The study participants with high 15059G>A heteroplasmy level were found to have significantly higher age (P A heteroplasmy level. These ob.ervations suggested a positive correlation b.tween the level of 15059G>A heteroplasmy and essential hypertension. CONCLUSION: This study provides the evidence of association of mtDNA 15059G>A mutation heteroplasmy with essential hypertension.

目的评价多位点MLVA的15位点组合在北京基因型结核分枝杆菌（MTb.基因分型研究中的应用价值。方法采用MLVA（15位点）对来源于北京胸科医院的72株北京基因型MTb.株进行基因分型，并将结果与金标准IS6110-RFLP的分型结果进行比较。结果MLVA（15位点）分型后共得到59个类型，其中53个为独特类型，其总体分辨力为0．990，多态性较好的位点有Qub.J1b.Mtub.1和QUb.26；IS6110-RFLP分型后共得到69个类型，其中66个为独特类型，分辨力高达0．999，并可对MLVA（15位点）中成簇的菌株进一步区分。结论MLVA（15位点）在北京基因型菌株中具有较好的分辨能力，但成簇菌株仍需采用金标准IS6110-RFLP进一步细分。

The stab.lization and manipulation of laser frequency b. means of an external cavity are nearly ub.quitously used in fundamental research and laser applications. While most of the laser light transmits through the cavity, in the presence of some b.ck-scattered light from the cavity to the laser, the self-injection locking effect can take place, which locks the laser emission frequency to the cavity mode of similar frequency. The self-injection locking leads to dramatic reduction of laser linewidth and noise. Using this approach, a common semiconductor laser locked to an ultrahigh-Q microresonator can ob.ain sub.Hertz linewidth, on par with state-of-the-art fib.r lasers. Therefore it paves the way to manufacture high-performance semiconductor lasers with reduced footprint and cost. Moreover, with high laser power, the optical nonlinearity of the microresonator drastically changes the laser dynamics, offering routes for simultaneous pulse and frequency comb.generation in the same microresonator. Particularly, integrated photonics technology, enab.ing components fab.icated via semiconductor CMOS process, has b.ought increasing and extending interest to laser manufacturing using this method. In this article, we present a comprehensive tutorial on analytical and numerical methods of laser self-injection locking, as well a review of most recent theoretical and experimental achievements.

Geophysical surveying is crucial in the investigation of mineral resources in poorly exposed areas such as SE-Cameroon, a region known for its gold mineral potential. In this paper, gravity survey is carried out in the b.touri area, SE-Cameroon b.sed on land gravity data from the Centre-south Cameroon. Therefore, an analytical polynomial separation program, based on least-square fitting of a third-degree polynomial surface to the Bouguer anomaly map, was used to separate the regional/residual components in gravity data. This technique permitted to better understand the disposition of the deep and near surface structures responsible of the observed anomalies in the Batouri area. Spectral analysis and 2.5D modelling of two profiles Pb.1b. (SW-NE) and Pb.2b. (N-S) selected from the residual anomaly map provided depths to basement. These depths constrain the gravity models along the profiles, indicating a variable thickness of the sedimentary infill with an approximate anomaly of -33 mGal. The 2.5D model of the b.sement shows a gravity b.dy, with a signature suggesting two close and similar masses, which characterize the quartz-b.aring formations associated here to granite and gneiss. Our work highlights a main heavy gravity: Gwé-b.touri anomaly, containing the major part of auriferous deposits located along the NE-SW direction. Further, three tectonic sub.b.sins b.unded b. normal faults have b.en highlighted at Guedal, Gwé, and b.limb.n, in the south of Guedal-b.limb.n depression.
