Point defects in the crystal lattice of SiC,known as color centers,have recently emerged as one of the most promising single-photon emitters for non-classical light ***,the search for the best color center that satisfies all the requirements of practical applications has only just *** color centers in SiC have been recently discovered but not yet ***,it is extremely challenging to understand their optoelectronic properties and evaluate their potential for use in practical single-photon ***,we present a theoretical approach that explains the experiments on single-photon electroluminescence(SPEL)of novel color centers in SiC p-i-n diodes and gives the possibility to engineer highly efficient single-photon emitting diodes based on ***,we develop a novel method of determining the electron and hole capture cross sections by the color center from experimental measurements of the SPEL rate and second-order *** other methods,the developed approach uses the experimental results at the single defect level that can be easily obtained as soon as a single-color center is identified in the i-type region of the SiC p-i-n diode.

New data on a zonal structure of the Koupol deposit fahlores grains are given, and features of their chemism are shown. The fahlores chemical composition within the zones evolves from essentially arsenious （Fe-tennantite and Zn-tennantite）, through mixed fahlores （Zn-tennantitetetrahedrite arsenious and Zn-tennantite-tetrahedrite antimonous）, to essential antimonous （Ag-bearing Zn-tetrahedrite）. Varying chemical composition manifested as mineralogical-geochemical zonation of the fahlores grains is caused by changes of physicochemical conditions of the ore forming process during the time.

Millions of men each year are faced with a clinical suspicion of prostate cancer （PCa） but the prostate biopsy fails to detect the disease. For the urologists, how to select the appropriate candidate for repeat biopsy is a significant clinical dilemma. Traditional risk-stratification tools in this setting such as prostate-specific antigen （PSA） related markers and histopathology findings have met with limited correlation with cancer diagnosis or with significant disease. Thus, an individualized approach using predictive models such as an online risk calculator （RC） or updated biomarkers is more suitable in counseling men about their risk of harboring clinically significant prostate cancer, This review will focus on the available risk-stratification tools in the population of men with prior negative biopsies and persistent suspicion of PCa. The underlying methodology and platforms of the available tools are reviewed to better understand the development and validation of these models. The index patient is then assessed with different RCs to determine the range of heterogeneity among various RCs. This should allow the urologists to better incorporate these various risk-stratification tools into their clinical practice and improve patient counseling.

The challenges humanity is facing due to the Covid-19 pandemic require timely and accurate forecasting of the dynamics of various epidemics to minimize the negative consequences for public health and the *** can use a variety of well-known and new mathematical models,taking into account a huge number of ***,complex models contain a large number of unknown parameters,the values of which must be determined using a limited number of observations,e.g.,the daily datasets for the accumulated number of *** experience in modeling the COVID-19 pandemic has shown that it is possible to apply the simplest SIR model,which contains 4 unknown *** of the original algo-rithm of the model parameter identification for the first waves of the COVID-19 pandemic in China,South Korea,Austria,Italy,Germany,France,Spain has shown its high accuracy in pre-dicting their duration and number of *** simulate different epidemic waves and take into account the incompleteness of statistical data,the generalized SIR model and algorithms for determining the values of its parameters were *** interference of the previous waves,changes in testing levels,quarantine or social behavior require constant monitoring of the epidemic dynamics and performing SIR simulations as often as possible with the use of a user-friendly *** tool will allow predicting the dynamics of any epidemic using the data on the number of diseases over a limited period(e.g.,14 days).It will be possible to predict the daily number of new cases for the country as a whole or for its separate region,to estimate the number of carriers of the infection and the probability of facing such a carrier,as well as to estimate the number of *** of three SIR simulations of the COVID-19 epidemic wave in Japan in the summer of 2022 are presented and *** predicted accumulated and daily numbers of cases agree with the results of observations,especially f

We estimate weighted character sums with determinants ad-bc of 2×2 matrices modulo a prime p with entries a,b,c and d vary ing over the interval [1,N].Our goal is to obtain non-trivial bounds for values of N as small as *** particular,we achieve this goal,with a power saving,for N≥p^(1/8+ε) with any fixed ε>0,which is very likely to be the best possible unless the celebrated Burgess bound is improved,By other techniques,we also treat more general sums but sometimes for larger values of N.
