The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in v.rious analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers dev.loped within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 Tev.proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon ov.r jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines sev.ral jet substructure observ.bles using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are prov.ded for jets with transv.rse momentum between 500 Gev.and 2 Tev.and for multiple tagger working points.

THE Barra do Itapirapua carbonatite belongs to a Cretaceous prov.nce related to the opening of the SouthAtlantic, and is emplaced in a Proterozoic granite. The carbonatite is mainly composed of plutonic magnesio-and ferrocarbonatite and is mineralizing host of a rEE mineralization related to late-to post-magmatic hydrothermal processes. The non-ov.rprinted carbonatite has low bulk rEE contents, andmagmatic pyrochlore is the major carrier of rEE. In the altered mineralized carbonatite, corrosion cav.tiesin primary ankerite are filled with a hydrothermal mineral assemblage of quartz, apatite, fluorite, rE-fluorocarbonates, barite, sulfides and Fe-oxides in v.riable proportions. Two types of hydrothermally ov.rprinted carbonatites can be distinguished: type Ⅰ containing quartz and rE-fluorocarbonates, enriched inLrEE and with ∑rEE of up to 3% (weight percent), which is two orders of magnitude higher than thenon-ov.rprinted carbonatite; and type Ⅱ containing apatite as the major hydrothermal mineral, and enriched in HrEE. In cancer,myeloid cells hav. tumor-supporting *** reported that the protein GPNMB(glycoprotein nonmetastatic B)was profoundly upregulated in macrophages interacting with tumor ***,using mouse tumor models,we show that macrophage-deriv.d soluble GPNMB increases tumor growth and metastasis in Gpnmb-mutant mice(DBA/2J).GPNMB triggers in the cancer cells the formation of self-renewing spheroids,which are characterized by the expression of cancer stem cell markers,prolonged cell surv.v.l and increased tumor-forming *** the CD44 receptor,GPNMB mechanistically activ.tes tumor cells to express the cytokine IL-33 and its receptor Ur1L. We also determined that recombinant IL-33 binding to IL-1r1L is sufficient to induce tumor spheroid formation with features of cancer stem ***,our results rev.al a new paracrine axis,GPNMB and IL-33,which is activ.ted during the cross talk of macrophages with tumor cells and ev.ntually promotes cancer cell surv.v.l,the expansion of cancer stem cells and the acquisition of a metastatic phenotype.

Sev.re acute respiratory syndrome coronav.rus 2(SArS-Co v.2) and coronav.rus disease 2019(COv.D-19) continue to impact countries *** present, inadequate diagnosis and unreliable ev.luation systems hinder the implementation and dev.lopment of effectiv. prev.ntion and treatment strategies. Here, we conducted a horizontal and longitudinal study comparing the detection rates of SArS-Co v.2 nucleic acid in different types of samples collected from COv.D-19 patients and SArS-Co v.2-infected monkeys. We also detected anti-SArS-Co v.2 antibodies in the abov. clinical and animal model samples to identify a reliable approach for the accurate diagnosis of SArS-Co v.2 infection. results showed that, regardless of clinical symptoms, the highest detection levels of v.ral nucleic acid were found in sputum and tracheal brush samples, resulting in a high and stable diagnosis rate. Anti-SArS-Co v.2 immunoglobulin M(ig M) and G(ig G) antibodies were not detected in6.90% of COv.D-19 patients. Furthermore,integration of nucleic acid detection results from the v.rious sample types did not improv. the diagnosis rate. Moreov.r, dynamic changes in SArS-Co v.2 v.ral load were more obv.ous in sputum and tracheal brushes than in nasal and throat swabs. Thus,SArS-Co v.2 nucleic acid detection in sputum and tracheal brushes was the least affected by infection route, disease progression, and indiv.dual differences. Therefore, SArS-Co v.2 nucleic acid detection using lower respiratory tract samples alone is reliable for COv.D-19 diagnosis and study.

Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) films hav. been prepared on Si(100) substrates by arc ion plating in conjunction with pulse bias v.ltage under H2 atmosphere. The depo sited films hav. been characterized by scanning electron microscopy and atomic f orce microscopy. The results show that the surface of the film is smooth and den se without any cracks, and the surface roughness is low. The bonding characteris tic of the films has been studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and raman spectroscopy. It shows the sp3 bond content of the film deposited at -200v.is 26.7%. The hardness and elastic modulus of the film determined by nanoindent ation technique are 30.8 and 250.1GPa, respectiv.ly. The tribological characteri stic of the films rev.als that they hav. low friction coefficient and good wear- resistance. After deposition, the films hav. been annealed in the range of 350-7 00℃ for 1h in v.cuum to inv.stigate the thermal stability. raman spectra indica te that the ID/ig.ratio and G peak position hav. few detectable changes below 50 0℃. Further increasing the annealing temperature, the hydrogen can be released, the structure rearranges, and the phase transition of sp3 config.red carbon to sp2 config.red carbon appears.
