The one-pot synthesis of ZSM-5-ma.a.iite, ZSM-23-ma.a.iite, a.d ZSM-5-ZSM-23-ma.a.iite using isopropyla.ine a.d 2-propa.ol a. a. orga.ic structure-directing a.ent a.d co-solvent, respectively, wa. studied. Zeolite mixtures were prepa.ed by a.ding 2-propa.ol （0 to 10wt%） to the rea.tion solu- tion. The intergrowth of composites wa. observed when 2-propa.ol wa. introduced a. a.co-solvent into the rea.tion mixture. Synthesized sa.ples were cha.a.terized by X-ra. diffra.tion, field-emission sca.- ning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ra. spectroscopy, a.d thermogra.imetric a.a.ysis. The results revea.ed tha. the a.ount of 2-propa.ol a.d source of a.uminum influenced the na.ure of the zeolite-ma.a.iite composites formed.

a.libra.y of new 1,4-benzodioxa.e-6-ca.boxylic a.id a.ide a.a.ogs wa. designed a.d synthesized. These a.a.ogs were obta.ned in six steps from ga.lic a.id. Firstly, esterifica.ion of the commercia.ly a.a.la.le ga.lic a.id in metha.ol in the presence of sulfuric a.id a.forded methyl 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoa.e (9) in sa.isfa.tory yield. The ester 9 wa. then rea.ted with a. excess of 1,2-dibromoetha.e in the presence of K2CO3 in a.etone to furnish the 6,8-disubstituted-1,4-benzodioxa.e (10) in 45% yield. The rea.tion of 10 with va.ious merca.ta.s ga.e the sulfide deriva.ive 11, 12, a.d 13 in modera.e yield. Subsequent hydrolysis of the methyl ester in 13 followed by conversion to the a.id chloride a.d rea.tion of the a.id chloride intermedia.e with different commercia.ly a.a.la.le prima.y a.d seconda.y a.ines ga.e the a.ide a.a.ogs 18 - 32 with a. a.era.e yield of 43%. Conversion of the sulfide group in Compound 23 to Sulfoxide 33 or Sulfone 34 wa. a.complished by rea.tion with either 30% H2O2/TeO2 or 30% H2O2, respectively. The structures of the synthesized compounds were cha.a.terized using FTIR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, a.d high-resolution ESI-MS.

Ba.kground: There is genera.ly a.la.k of good hea.th-seeking pra.tices a.ong hea.th professiona.s due to a.va.iety of fa.tors, including the intensity of the medica. pra.tice itself. Doctors a.d nurses a.e perceived to ha.e a.good knowledge of idea. hea.th-seeking beha.iors a.d a. such, it is importa.t to determine the level of their a.a.eness a.d estima.e whether this knowledge is put into pra.tice. This study, therefore, a.med to determine the level of a.a.eness a.d pra.tices of proper hea.th-seeking beha.ior a.d to identify the fa.tors responsible for self-medica.ion a.ong doctors a.d nurses in a.tertia.y hospita. in Nigeria. Methodology: a.cross-sectiona. descriptive study wa. conducted between a.ril a.d ma. 2018 a.ong 106 doctors a.d 164 nurses in a.tertia.y hea.th fa.ility in Ido-Ekiti, Ekiti Sta.e, Southwestern Nigeria. a.simple ra.dom sa.pling technique by ba.loting wa. performed from the list of doctors a.d nurses in the hospita. to select doctors a.d nurses tha. pa.ticipa.ed in the study. a.pretested semi-structured self-a.ministered questionna.re wa. designed a.d used to collect da.a. The da.a.were entered into the computer softwa.e a.d a.a.yzed using SPSS version 20. P ≤ 0.05 wa. ta.en a. significa.t. Result: Out of 106 doctors a.d 164 nurses recruited, only 102 doctors a.d 143 nurses filled the questionna.re completely a.d returned for a.a.ysis. One hundred a.d four respondents (42.4%) fa.l within the a.es of 31 - 40 yea.s with a.ma.e to fema.e ra.io of 1:1.23. a.a.eness of proper hea.th seeking beha.ior a.ong both doctors a.d nurses wa. high a.ong the two groups with no sta.istica.ly significa.t difference between them. Twenty-nine (28.0%) doctors compa.ed with thirty-four (23.8%) nurses go for a.regula. medica. check-up with no sta.istica.ly significa.t difference between the two groups (p = 0.411). Out of these, 5 (17.2%) doctors a.d 7 (23.8%) nurses visit a. a. interva. of less tha. 6 month (p = 0.736). There is a.sta.istica.ly significa.t differenc
