BACKGROUND Schwannoma of the pancreas is extremely *** report a case of pancreatic schwannoma that was difficult to distinguish from pancreatic carcinoma before *** SUMMARY A 66-year-old male underwent a right-lobe hepatectomy for hepatocellular ***-surgical computed tomography showed a 10 mm long solid mass with ischemia,with no expansion into the main pancreatic *** magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography,the tumor had high signal intensity in diffusion weighted images,consistent with pancreatic *** ultrasound(EUS)was performed to obtain more information about the tumor,and showed a 14 mm solid and hypoechoic mass in the pancreatic *** enhanced EUS revealed that the tumor showed a hyperechoic mass in the early phase,and the contrasting effect continuation was very short;findings also consistent with pancreatic ***,we preoperatively diagnosed his condition as a pancreatic carcinoma and performed distal pancreatectomy with *** examination showed that the tumor was in fact a benign *** showed a proliferation of spindle-shaped cell in a vague fascicular and haphazard pattern,with palisading *** Schwannoma of the pancreas is very rare,however,clinicians should consider schwannoma as the differential diagnosis for pancreatic tumors.

＜正＞This paper presents a simple position sensorless control method of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor. This method cannot be applied basically in the low speed region. However, if the motor speed rapidly reaches the medium or high speed region after starting, it can be used. This method consists of two kinds of position estimation algorithms. At starting, the initial rotor position estimation is carried out, and is based on the variation of the current response caused by the magnetic saturation. In the medium and high speed regions, a mathematical model described by the extended electromotive force （EMF） is introduced. The angle of the extended EMF vector equals the error of the rotor position. The estimation of the extended EMF is based on the principle that the error between the actual current and the estimated current is proportional to that of the extended EMF. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed sensorless control method.

Several hundred thousand primordial follicles are present in the mammalian ovary,however,only a limited number develop to the preovulatory stage,and then finally *** others,more than 99%,will be eliminated via a degenerative process called"atresia".The endocrinological regulatory mechanisms involved in follicular development and atresia have been characterized to a large extent,but the precise temporal and molecular mechanisms involved in the regulation of these events have remained *** many recent studies,it is suggested that the apoptosis in ovarian granulosa cells plays a crucial role in follicular atresia. Notably,death ligand and receptor interaction and subsequent intracellular signaling have been demonstrated to be the key mechanisms regulating granulosa cell ***,we provide an overview of granulosa cell apoptosis regulated by death ligand-receptor signaling in pig *** roles of death ligands and receptors[Fas ligand (FasL)-Fas,tumor necrosis factor(TNF)α-TNF receptor(TNFR),and TNFa-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL)-TRAIL receptor(TRAILR)]and intracellular death-signal mediators[Fas-associated death domain protein(FADD),TNF receptor 1-associated death domain protein(TRADD),caspases,apoptotic protease-activating factor 1(Apaf1),TNFR-associated factor 2(TRAF2),and cellular FLICE-like inhibitory protein(cFLIP) etc.]in granulosa cells of each follicle will be discussed.

＜正＞A method for reducing the vibration and acoustic noise of switched reluctance motors is proposed. The dominant source of the vibration and acoustic noise is the rapid change of the radial force during commutation, and it is caused by a rapid change of current. When the excitation current is cut off, the radial force suddenly reduces to 0. If the change of current is slow, the vibration and acoustic noise can be reduced. When the current is gradually decreased from a proper angle before the aligned position, the change of current can be controlled. By using this method, it is possible to reduce the vibration and noise. Experimental results show the validity of the proposed method in this paper.

Multi-Factorial Functional Analysis of the Patients with Reconstruction for Oral Carcinoma

This paper is to evaluate postoperative function which has undergone reconstruction with vascularized or pedicled flaps for the treatment of oral carcinomas. The subjects consisted of 22 cases of 17 male and 5 female patients, and their mean age was 55 years. The sites of reconstruction were the tongue in 12 cases, mandible in 10 cases. The reconstruction was performed using deltopectoral (DP) flaps in 6 cases, pectoralis major musculo cutaneous (PMMC) flaps in 3 cases, DP flap + PMMC flap in one case, forearm (FA) flaps in 8 cases and peroneal (P) flaps with fibula in 4 cases. Postoperative masticatory, speech, swallowing functions and facial appearance were evaluated by Multi-factorial analysis. All functional results seem to be related to the type of resection. By multi-factorial analysis, the type of mandibular resection, flap area, and anterior resection were related to the masticatory or speech function in tongue resection. In mandibular resection, masticatory function was subjected to age;speech function was subjected to type of mandibular resection and plate reconstruction. The facial appearance was subjected to flap area. These results suggested that postoperative function was not related to only one factor, but using the classification of each defect site as one of the factor of multi-factorial analysis was useful.

3D-ComFutaional Mesh Generation around a Propeller by Elliptic Differential Equation System

In this paper, an analytic method is applied for the generation of 3D mesh system in order for Navier-Stokes equations around ATP (Propfan). One of the advantages of this method is that mesh lines have strong differentiability. The differential equation used is Poisson type and the right hand side is called control function, and this is able to control the degree of mesh line clustering. Here, the form of control function was contrived to cluster near the solid surfaces. By this method, several mesh lines are laid in the boundary layer above the blade surfaces.

提出了在N边域裁减参数曲面上生成非自交光顺结构网格的方法。利用Gregory法,首先在参数坐标平面上将N边域分成N个四边形区域,并生成每个四边形区域内的网格,然后通过映射获得三维空间上的网格坐标点。为消除映射过程中所产生的自交现象,根据非自交特性和光顺网格的特点,提出了优化目标函数,并采用共轭梯度数值解法获得了最优解。利用该方法可以获得N边域上非自交光顺的结构网格,拓展了N边域裁剪曲面的使用范围。

Comparison Study on Different Quantification Methods of Diffuse Myocardial Fibrosis of Dilated Cardiomyopathy Using Myocardial T1 Value

Purpose: The purpose is to compare several quantification methods and clarify which quantification method is reliable to estimate diffuse myocardial fibrosis with cardiac MRI in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) using myocardial T1 value. Methods and Results: Delayed enhancement imaging was performed in 52 patients with DCM and 10 control subjects to identify fibrosis using an inversion time scout sequence. The mean contrast-enhanced myocardial (M) T1 values of the pre and post contrast-enhanced myocardial and left ventricular lumen (L) of control and dilated cardiomyopathy cases were compared. The calculated post M T1 value, pre M T1 value-post M T1 value, and (pre M TI value-post M T1 value)/(pre L T1 value-post L T1 value) were significantly different between the patient group and the control group (344.5 ± 31.6 vs. 390.4 ± 19.3 msec, 239.9 ± 64.2 msec vs. 134.0 ± 28.9 msec, and 0.50 ± 0.11 vs. 0.30 ± 0.60, respectively). (Pre M T1 value-post M T1 value)/(pre L T1 value-post L T1 value) was significantly the most related to the left ventricular ejection fraction (r = 0.66, p Conclusion: (Pre M T1 value-post M T1 value)/(pre L T1 value-post L T1 value) was the most reliable quantification method to estimate the severity of DCM.
