Multilayer film was fabricated on an electrode surface by alternate layer-by-layer（LBL） adsorption of polycationic redox polymer（PEI-Fc） and dye-linked L-proline dehydrogenase（L-proDH）.The electrochemistry of the PEI-Fc/L-proDH multilayer modified electrode was investigated by cyclic voltammetry,and the enzyme catalysis mediated by the redox polymer was studied in a solution containing *** was observed that electron communication between L-proDH and the electrode was achieved with the help of PEI-Fc.A mathematical expression for the current response was evaluated based on the Michaelis-Menten kinetics mode,and the calculated currents fitted well with the experimental *** kinetic analysis indicates that only a small fraction of the immobilized enzyme was efficiently electrically wired by the redox polymer.

BACKGROUND Mucosal patterns(MPs)observed on blue laser imaging in patients with atrophic gastritis can be classified as spotty,cracked,and ***,we hypothesized that the spotty pattern may change to the cracked pattern after Helicobacter pylori(***)*** To further substantiate and comprehensively investigate MP changes after *** eradication in a larger number of *** We included 768 patients who were diagnosed with atrophic gastritis with evaluable MP using upper gastrointestinal endoscopy at the Nishikawa Gastrointestinal Clinic,*** them,325 patients were ***-positive,and of them,101 patients who underwent upper gastrointestinal endoscopy before and after *** eradication were evaluated for post-eradication MP *** patients’MPs were interpreted by three experienced endoscopists who were blinded to their clinical *** Among 76 patients with the spotty pattern before or after *** eradication,the pattern disappeared or decreased in 67 patients[88.2%,95%confidence interval(CI):79.0%-93.6%),appeared or increased in 8 patients(10.5%,95%CI:5.4%-19.4%),and showed no change in 1 patient(1.3%,95%CI:0.2%-7.1%).In 90 patients with the cracked pattern before or after *** eradication,the pattern disappeared or decreased in 7 patients(7.8%,95%CI:3.8%-15.2%),appeared or increased in 79 patients(87.8%,95%CI:79.4%-93.0%),and showed no change in 4 patients(4.4%,95%CI:1.7%-10.9%).In 70 patients with the mottled pattern before or after *** eradication,the pattern disappeared or decreased in 28 patients(40.0%,95%CI:29.3%-51.7%),appeared or increased in 35 patients(50.0%,95%CI:38.6%-61.4%),and showed no change in 7 patients(10.0%,95%CI:4.9%-19.2%).CONCLUSION After *** eradication,MPs changed from spotty to cracked in most patients,which may help endoscopists easily and precisely evaluate ***-related gastritis status.

In recent years,researches on food components with anti-allergic effects have been gathering attention,because of the expectation for the establishment of a safe and effective treatment for food *** studies have reported that Lactiplantibacillus plantarum 22A-3 (LP22A3) inhibited degranulation of mast cells and reduced IgE *** have developed a gastrointestinal allergy system in which mice are sensitized by intraperitoneal and oral administration of OVA and then challenged by oral administration of high doses of *** a result,an increase in the amount of IgE in the blood and a decrease in the temperature of the colon were confirmed,and it was clarified that food allergy was induced by oral administration of high dose of OVA as the *** administration of LP22A3 ameliorated allergic responses significantly by reducing the amount of IgE in the blood and to recovered the decrease of rectal ***,LP22A3 did not affect the intestinal barrier *** LP22A3 significantly suppressed mRNA expression of OX40L and *** results suggested that LP22A3 suppressed Th2 differentiation and IL-4 production via downregulation of OX40L,and consequently suppressed IgE ***22A3 might provide a safe and effective treatment for allergic diseases due to ability modulating intestinal immune system.

Kinetics of thermal decomposition of benzene on lignite-derived char was investigated at 900℃ by applying a new method to continuously monitor the char surface *** vapor was continuously forced to pass through a micro fixed bed of char with residence time as short as 7.6 ms,and then detected continuously by a flame-ionization *** showed the presence of two different types of char surfaces;consumptive Type I surface and non-consumptive(sustainable)Type II *** I surface of a partially CO_(2)-gasified char had an capacity of carbon deposit from benzene over 20 wt%-char and an initial activity(represented by a first-order rate constant)as high as 160 s−*** of them decreased with increasing carbon deposit due to consumption of micropores accessible to benzene,and finally became zero leaving Type II surface that had a very stable activity with rate constant of 4 s−*** chars without gasification had capacities of Type I surfaces smaller by two orders of magnitude than the partially gasified char,while the Type II surfaces had activities similar to that of the partially gasified *** was found that Type II surface converted benzene into not only carbon deposit but also diaromatics and even greater *** of the greater aromatics was unknown because they were deposited onto the reactor wall immediately after passing through the char bed.

Over the last decade,scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEM)has emerged as a powerful tool for probing atomic structures of complex materials with picometer precision,opening the pathway toward exploring ferroelectric,ferroelastic,and chemical phenomena on the atomic *** to date extracting a polarization signal from lattice coupled distortions in STEM imaging rely on discovery of atomic positions from intensity maxima/minima and subsequent calculation of polarization and other order parameter fields from the atomic ***,we explore the feasibility of polarization mapping directly from the analysis of STEM images using deep convolutional neural networks(DCNNs).In this approach,the DCNN is trained on the labeled part of the image(i.e.,for human labelling),and the trained network is subsequently applied to other *** explore the effects of the choice of the descriptors(centered on atomic columns and grid-based),the effects of observational bias,and whether the network trained on one composition can be applied to a different *** analysis demonstrates the tremendous potential of the DCNN for the analysis of high-resolution STEM imaging and spectral data and highlights the associated limitations.

Cyberknife treatment for advanced or terminal stage hepatocellular carcinoma

AIM: To investigate the safety and efficacy of the Cyberknife treatment for patients with advanced or terminal stage hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).METHODS: Patients with HCC with extrahepatic metastasis or vascular or bile duct invasion were enrolled between May 2011 and June 2015. The Cyberknife was used to treat each lesion. Treatment response scores were based on Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors v1.1. The trends of tumor markers,including alpha fetoprotein(AFP) and proteins induced by vitamin K absence Ⅱ(PIVKA Ⅱ) were assessed. Prognostic factors for tumor response and tumor markers were evaluated with Fisher's exact test and a logistic regression model. Survival was evaluated with the Kaplan-Meier method and multivariate analysis was performed using the Cox proportional hazards ***: Sixty-five patients with 95 lesions were enrolled. Based on the Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer classification,all patients were either in the advanced or terminal stage of the disease. The target lesions were as follows: 52 were bone metastasis; 9,lung metastasis; 7,brain metastasis; 9,portal vein invasion;4,hepatic vein invasion; 4,bile duct invasion; and 10 other lesion types. The response rate and disease control rate were 34% and 53%,respectively. None of the clinical factors correlated significantly with tumor response. Fiducial marker implantation was associated with better control of both AFP(HR = 0.152; 95%CI: 0.026-0.887; P = 0.036) and PIVKA Ⅱ(HR = 0.035; 95%CI: 0.003-0.342; P = 0.004). The median survival time was 9 mo(95%CI: 5-15 mo). Terminal stage disease(HR = 9.809; 95%CI: 2.589-37.17,P < 0.001) and an AFP of more than 400 ng/m L(HR = 2.548; 95%CI: 1.070-6.068,P = 0.035) were associated with worse survival. A radiation dose higher than 30 Gy(HR = 0.274; 95%CI: 0.093-0.7541,P = 0.012) was associated with better survival. In the 52 cases of bone metastasis,36 patients(69%) achieved pain relief. Non-robotic minimally invasive gastrectomy as an independent risk factor for postoperative intra-abdominal infectious complications: A single-center, retrospective and propensity score-matched analysis

BACKGROUND Minimally invasive surgery for gastric cancer(GC) has gained widespread use as a safe curative procedure especially for early *** To determine risk factors for postoperative complications after minimally invasive gastrectomy for *** Between January 2009 and June 2019, 1716 consecutive patients were referred to our division for primary GC. Among them, 1401 patients who were diagnosed with both clinical and pathological Stage Ⅲ or lower GC and underwent robotic gastrectomy(RG) or laparoscopic gastrectomy(LG) were enrolled. Retrospective chart review and multivariate analysis were performed for identifying risk factors for postoperative *** Morbidity following minimally invasive gastrectomy was observed in 7.5% of the patients. Multivariate analyses demonstrated that non-robotic minimally invasive surgery, male gender, and an operative time of ≥ 360 min were significant independent risk factors for morbidity. Therefore, morbidity was compared between RG and LG. Accordingly, propensity-matched cohort analysis revealed that the RG group had significantly fewer intra-abdominal infectious complications than the LG group(2.5% vs 5.9%, respectively;P = 0.038), while no significant differences were noted for other local or systemic *** analyses of the propensity-matched cohort revealed that non-robotic minimally invasive surgery [odds ratio = 2.463(1.070–5.682);P = 0.034] was a significant independent risk factor for intra-abdominal infectious *** The findings showed that robotic surgery might improve short-term outcomes following minimally invasive radical gastrectomy by reducing intra-abdominal infectious complications.
