The increasing use of cloud-based devices has reached the critical point of cybersecurity and unwanted network.*** environments pose significant challenges in maintaining privacy and *** approaches,such as IDS,have been developed to tack.e these ***,most conventional Intrusion Detection System(IDS)models struggle with unseen cyberattack. and complex high-dimensional *** fact,this paper introduces the idea of a novel distributed explainable and heterogeneous transformer-based intrusion detection system,named INTrUMEr,which offers balanced accuracy,reliability,and security in cloud settings bymultiplemoduleswork.ng together within *** traffic captured from cloud devices is first passed to the TC&TM module in which the Falcon Optimization Algorithm optimizes the feature selection process,and Naie Bayes algorithm performs the classification of *** selected features are classified further and are forwarded to the Heterogeneous Attention Transformer(HAT)*** this module,the contextual interactions of the network.traffic are tak.n into account to classify them as normal or malicious *** classified results are further analyzed by the Explainable Prevention Module(XPM)to ensure trustworthiness by providing interpretable *** the explanations fromthe classifier,emergency alarms are transmitted to nearby IDSmodules,servers,and underlying cloud devices for the enhancement of preventive *** experiments on benchmark.IDS datasets CICIDS 2017,Honeypots,and NSL-k.D were conducted to demonstrate the efficiency of the INTrUMEr model in detecting network.trafficwith high accuracy for different *** outperforms state-of-the-art approaches,obtaining better performance metrics:98.7%accuracy,97.5%precision,96.3%recall,and 97.8%*** results validate the robustness and effectiveness of INTrUMEr in securing diverse cloud environments against sophisticated cyber threats.

Photolysis studies on HCOOH and HCOO^- in presence of TiO_2 photocatalyst as suspension in aqueous medium

Photolysis studies on formic acid （HCOOH） and formate ion （HCOO-） in presence of TiO2, a photocatalyst, as suspension in water were carried out separately using 350 nm ultraviolet light. The products, such as H2, CO, CO2 and CH4, generated during the experiments were monitored with varying the ambient, light exposure time, and the concentration of HCOOH/HCOO-. The yields of CO in all these systems increased with light exposure time. In aerated systems, CO yields were higher in contrast to the deoxygenated （Ar-purged） systems under identical conditions. It is proposed apparently that the formation of CO is tak.ng place during the chemical reduction of in-situ generated CO2, a photo-mineralized product of HCOOH/HCOO-, but not through the direct photodecomposition or photodehydration （CO＋H2O） of solute molecules. The rates of CO formation during 1.3 M HCOOH photolysis in presence of TiO2 photocatalyst were evaluated to be 0.21 and 0.13 μl/min in aerated and Ar-purged systems, respectively. As compared with HCOOH systems, the CO yields are lower when 0.2 M HCOONa was exposed to light under identical conditions. The CO growth rates were evaluated to be 0.07 and 0.046 μl/min^-1 for aerated and deoxygenated HCOONa systems, respectively; moreover, the trend is quite similar to that of the HCOOH system. Under these conditions, the emission of H2 was also observed, and its yield was significantly higher in Ar-purged system as compared with the CO yields. However, in aerated system, the yields of these products were just opposite. The formation of low yield of methane was observed during photolysis of HCOOH/HCOO ions. In CO2 ambient, the yields of CO and H2 varied drastically with time.

Semantic rule Based Image Visual Feature Ontology Creation

Multimedia is one of the important communication channels for mank.nd. Due to the advancement in technology and enormous growth of mank.nd, a vast array of multimedia data is available today. This has resulted in the obvious need for some techniques for retrieving these data. This paper will give an overview of ontology-based image retrieval system for asteroideae flower family domain. In order to reduce the semantic gap between the low-level visual features of an image and the high-level domain k.owledge, we have incorporated a concept of multi-modal image ontology. So, the created asteroideae flower domain specific ontology would have the k.owledge about the domain and the visual features. The visual features used to define the ontology are prevalent color,basic intrinsic pattern and contour gradient. In prevalent color extraction, the most dominant color from the images was identified and indexed. In order to determine the texture pattern for a particular flower, basic intrinsic patterns were used. The contour gradients provide the information on the image edges with respect to the image base. These feature values are embedded in the ontology at appropriate slots with respect to the domain k.owledge. This paper also defines some of the query axioms which are used to retrieve appropriate information from the created ontology. This ontology can be used for image retrieval system in semantic web.

Distribution of Pill Millipedes (Arthrosphaera) and Associated Soil Fauna in the Western Ghats and West Coast of India

Seven sampling sites in each of three biomes (Western Ghats, foothills of Western Ghats and west coast) of south- western India were investigated to study the distribution, abundance and ecology of pill millipedes (Arthrosphaera) and associated fauna in relation to edaphic features. Abundance and biomass of Arthrosphaera and other millipedes were the highest in Western Ghats, while earthworms were in foothills. Arthrosphaera magna and Arthrosphaera spp. were common in Western Ghats and foothills respectively, while no Arthrosphaera were found in the west coast. None of the sampling sites consisted of more than one species of Arthrosphaera. Biomass of Arthrosphaera, other millipedes and earthworms significantly differed in Western Ghats (P = 9.48 × 10-7) and foothills (P = 1.35 × 10-8), as did the biomass of species of Arthrosphaera (P = 2.76 × 10-7) between Western Ghats and foothills. Correlation analysis revealed that biomass of Arthrosphaera was significantly (P = 0.01, r = 0.45) correlated with soil organic carbon rather than other edaphic fea- tures (pH, phosphate, calcium and magnesium). Distribution pattern, abundance, biomass and ecology of Arthrosphaera of Western Ghats in relation to soil qualities were compared with millipedes of other regions of the world.

Activator-assisted electroless deposition of copper nanostructured films

This paper showed simple and effective synthesis of copper nanoparticles within controlled diameter using direct electroless deposition on glass substrates, following the sensitization and activation steps. Electroless-deposited metals, such as Cu, Co, Ni, and Ag, and their alloys had many advantages in micro- and nanotechnologies. The structural, morphological, and optical properties of copper deposits were characterized using X-ray diffraction （XrD）, atomic force microscopy （AFM）, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The structural data was further analyzed using the rietveld refinement program. Structural studies reveal that the deposited copper prefers a （111） orientation. AFM studies suggest the deposited materials form compact, uniform, and nanocrystalline phases with a high tendency to self-organize. The data show that the particle size can be controlled by controlling the activator concentration. The absorption spectra of the as-deposited copper nanoparticles reveal that the plasmonic peak.broadens and exhibits a blue shift with decreasing particle size.

Drop formation at nozzles submerged in quiescent continuous phase： an experimental study with TBP-dodecane and nitric acid system

Solvent extraction is an important process in the nuclear fuel cycle. Tributyl phosphate(TBP) diluted with dodecane is commonly used as a solvent for extracting heavy metals from nitric acid medium. Studies on hydrodynamics of a single drop, which is the smallest mass transfer entity, are required for better understanding of the complex mass transfer and phase separation phenomena that occur in extraction equipment. In this study, drop formation at nozzles is studied using 30% TBP-dodecane as the dispersed phase and dilute nitric acid as the quiescent continuous phase. Experiments are carried out to determine the drop diameter, jetting velocity, drop detachment height and drop detachment time for various dispersed phase velocities, nozzle diameters(1.91, 3.04, and 4.88 mm), and nitric acid concentrations(0.01, 1, 3 N). Drop formation is captured using high-speed imaging, which enables quantification of drop size, onset of jetting, drop detachment height, and drop detachment time. Experimental data are used to propose correlations for predicting drop diameter and minimum jetting velocity. The correlations are found to be very accurate with average absolute relative errors being 5.23 and 2.97%, respectively.

A discrete model for prediction of radon flux from fractured rock.

Prediction of radon flux from the fractured zone of a propagating cave mine is basically associated with uncertainty and complexity. For instance, there is restricted access to these zones for field measure- ments, and it is quite difficult to replicate the complex nature of both natural and induced fractures in these zones in laboratory studies. Hence, a technique for predicting radon flux from a fractured rock.using a discrete fracture network.（DFN） model is developed to address these difficulties. This model quantifies the contribution of fractures to the total radon flux, and estimates the fracture density from a measured radon flux considering the effects of advection, diffusion, as well as radon generation and decay. radon generation and decay are classified as reaction processes. Therefore, the equation solved is termed as the advection-diffusion-reaction equation （ADrE）. Peclet number （Pe）, a conventional dimensionless parameter that indicates the ratio of mass transport by advection to diffusion, is used to classify the transport regimes. The results show that the proposed model effectively predicts radon flux from a fractured rock. An increase in fracture density for a rock.sample with uniformly distributed radon generation rate can elevate radon flux significantly compared with another rock.sample with an equivalent increase in radon generation rate. In addition to Pe, two other independent dimensionless parameters （derived for radon transport through fractures） significantly affect radon dimensionless flux. Findings provide insight into radon transport through fractured rock. and can be used to improve radon control measures for proactive mitigation.

Adaptations of phytoplank.on in the Indian Ocean sector of the Southern Ocean during austral summer of 1998-2014

This study investigates the effects of light and temperature on the surface water diatoms and chloro- phytes, phytoplank.on in the Indian Ocean sector of the Southern Ocean （SO） during the austral summer of 1998- 2014. Significant longitudinal variations in hydrographic and biological parameters were observed at the Sub tropical front （STF）, Sub Antarctic front （SAF） and Polar front （PF） along 56°E-58°E. The concentrations of total surface chlorophyll a （Chl a）, diatoms, and chlorophytes measured by the National Aeronautics Space Agency （NASA） estimated by the Sea-Viewing Wide Field-of- View Sensors （SeaWiFS）, the Moderate resolution Imaging Spectro radiometer （MODIS）, and the NASA Ocean Biological Model （NOBM） were used in the study. Variations in the concentration of total Chl a was remark.ble amongst the fronts during the study period. The contribution of diatoms to the total concentration of surface Chl a increased towards south from the STF to the PF while it decreased in the case of chlorophytes. The maximum photosynthetically active radiation （PAr） was observed at the STF and it progressively decreased to the PF through the SAF. At the PF region the contribution of diatoms to the total Chl a biomass was ≥80%. On the other hand, the chlorophytes showed a contrary distribution pattern with ≥ 70% of the total Chl a biomass recorded at the STF which gradually decreased towards the PF, mainly attributed to the temperate adaptation. This clearly reveals that the trend of diatoms increased at the STF and decreased at the SAF and the PF. Further, the trend of chlorophytes was increased at the STF, SAF and PF with a shift in the community in the frontal system of the Indian Ocean sector of the SO.
