PAIgG and PAIgM levels in secondary dengue virus infections lead to thrombocytopenia in patients from KP, Pakistan

Objective: To understand the impact of platelet associated immunoglobulin G(PAIg G)/platelet associated immunoglobulin M(PAIg M) on severity of dengue virus infection leading to ***: In this study we examined a total of 52 patients who were having secondary infection of dengue in acute phase by using competitive ***: A decrease in the platelet count was observed at the acute phase of infection while all along the recovery stage the count of platelet was significantly increased. A significant decrease was observed in PAIg G and PAIg M in these subjects. Inverse correlation was found between platelets count and PAIg G/PAIg M among the subjects studied. In the platelets elution from ten subjects, anti-dengue virus immunoglobulin G and immunoglobulin M were observed. PAIg G and PAIg M with inclined levels were higher in dengue hemorrhagic fever than the classical dengue fever. In the development of dengue hemorrhagic fever PAIg M inclined level was independently associated with high specificity, showing a possible indication of dengue hemorrhagic ***: This study suggests that in secondary dengue virus infection, the PAIg G and PAIg M levels, and the activity of anti-dengue virus play key roles, both in the development and severity of the disease.

Prevalence and resistance of Acinetobacter baumannii isolated at Hyatabad Medical Complex,Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,Pakistan

Objective:To assess the resistance against widely used antibiotics in case of Acinetobacter baumannii(***)***:A total of 350 samples of pus,urine,swab and others from different patients were examined and the bacterial growth appeared in 50 *** sample was inoculated on blood,MacConkey and cystine lactose electrolyte deficient *** antimicrobial susceptibility profile of the isolates was determined using agar plate method/disk-diffusion method(modified-Kirby Baur disc diffusion method).Results:In current study,a large number of isolates of *** obtained from different specimens were resistant to avelox(56%),followed by tygacil(46%),augmentin(46%),cefspan(38%),cefixime(24%)and ampicillin(20%).However,the antibiogram of *** also showed that most of the isolates(88%)were highly sensitive to *** maximum sensitivity of *** was seen to amikacin(84%).The sensitivity of isolates against amikacin was followed by ticarcillin(80%).Meronem was found highly active against the tested isolates(78%).Sensitivity was observed for tienem(76%),sulzone(72%)followed by azactam(68%),cefobid(66%)to cefotaxime(66%)and ciproxin(62%).Conclusions:Results elucidate that *** is a severe problem as it has become a highly resistant species in hospitalized patients and resistant *** infection turned out to have increased all-cause mortality.

Effect of dark energy models on the energy content of charged and rotating black holes

The energy content of the charged-Kerr(CK)spacetime surrounded by dark energy(DE)is investigated using approximate Lie symmetry methods for the differential *** this,we consider three different DE scenarios:cosmological constant with an equation of state parameter$ω_(q)=-2/3,quintessence DE with an equation of state parameterω_(c)=-1,and a frustrated network of cosmic strings with an equation of state parameterω_(n)=-1/*** study the gravitational energy of the CK black hole surrounded by the DE,we explore the symmetries of the 2nd-order perturbed geodesic *** is noticed,for all the values ofω,the exact symmetries are recovered as 2nd-order approximate trivial *** trivial approximate symmetries give the rescaling of arc length parameter s in this spacetime which indicates that the energy in the underlying spacetime has to be rescaled by a factor that depends on the black hole parameters and the DE *** rescaling factor is compared with the factor of the CK spacetime found in[Hussain et ***.(2009)]and the effects of the DE on it are *** is observed that for all the three values of the equation of state parameterω,the effect of DE results in decreased energy content of the black hole spacetime,regardless of values of the charge Q,spin a and the DE parameterα.This reduction in the energy content due to the involvement of the DE favours the idea of mass reduction of black holes by accretion of DE given by[Babichev et ***.(2004)].

This study investigates the effect of aluminium oxide nanoparticlesaddition to biodiesel blends made from dairy milk scum on performance and combustion characteristics of the diesel *** dispersion of Al2O3nanoparticles in B20 blends at different concentrations was done with the help of *** number of blends were prepared for the *** Machine learning algorithms(Random Forest（RF）and CatBoost) was used for the *** results show that in comparison to biodiesel blends without nanoparticles,the kinematic viscosity and density is higher for fuel blends with *** these Fuel blends have higher calorific *** blends exhibited reduced Brake Specific Fuel Consumption（BSFC） of2.85% than the blends without nano particles(Dairy Scum Methyl Ester Biodiesel 20%+Neat Diesel 80%（in volume）,DSMEB20),57.14% less CO,40.8% less hydrocarbon,and increased NOxemissions compared to conventional diesel,contributing to the development of environmentally friendly and renewable biofuel blends with *** B20NP30 is the optimal blend for performance and emission *** study concludes with findings on enhanced Brake Thermal Efficiency（BTE） of 26.29% in 3×10-5（in volume） Al2O3nanoparticle-blended DSME B20 and other DSME B20 fuel blends,emphasizing the importance of optimal nanoparticle *** correlation matrix shows how engine load,efficiency measures（BTE,BSFC）,and emissions（CO,CO2,NOx,Smoke） are connected in complex *** results help us understand the complicated dynamics of engine performance and emission characteristics ***'s diagram for BTE and BSFC shows that CatBoost-based BTE models perform superior to RF-based models during the training as well as testing *** results were obtained for CO and CO2emission results.

In Liaqat and Hussain(2022)it was proved that the effect of dark energy with w_(n)=1/3 causes a reduction in the energy content of the quintessential charged-Kerr *** result needs correction as it is observed that the contribution of dark energy first decreases the total energy of the underlying spacetime for smaller values of radial coordinate r and then increases the energy for comparatively larger values of r.

Rational catalyst design and mechanistic evaluation for electrochemical nitrogen reduction at ambient conditions

Ammonia(NH3), a carbon-free hydrogen carrier, is an important commodity for the food supply chain owing to its high energy capacity and ease of storage and transport. The Haber-Bosch process is currently the favored industrial method for large-scale ammonia production but requires energy-intensive and sophisticated infrastructure which hampers its utilization in a sustainable and decentralized system of *** electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction(eNRR) at ambient conditions holds great potential for sustainable production of ammonia using electricity generated from renewable energy sources such as solar and wind. However, this approach is limited by a low rate of ammonia production with high overpotential and the competing hydrogen evolution reaction(HER). For a better understanding and utilization of eNRR as a sustainable process, insight into rational catalyst design and mechanistic evaluations by a theoretically-directed experimental approach is imperative. Herein, recent insights into rational catalyst design and mechanisms, based on intrinsic and extrinsic catalytic activity are *** the elucidation of basic principles and mechanisms, a framework supplied by theoretical studies that lead to the optimal selection and development of eNRR catalysts is presented. Following a discussion of recently developed electrocatalysts for eNRR, we outline various recently-used theoretical and experimental methodologies to improve the intrinsic and extrinsic catalytic activity of advanced *** review is anticipated to contribute to the development of active, selective, and efficient catalysts for nitrogen reduction.

Heavy Metals Accumulation in Soil Irrigated with Industrial Effluents of Gadoon Industrial Estate, Pakistan and Its Comparison with Fresh Water Irrigated Soil

Wastewater mixed with industrial effluents is used for irrigation in Gadoon Industrial estate and thus contaminating soil. This soil was tested for heavy metal content by using atomic absorption spectrophotometer (perkin elmer 700) and compared with control soil irrigated with tube well water at seven selected spots. Accumulation of the toxic metal was significantly greater in the soil irrigated with industrial effluent than control soil (p < 0.05). Manganese (Mn) was the most significant pollutant, accumulated up to 9.95 ppm in the soil irrigated with industrial waste water. It was found that the samples were containing Zn in the range of 1.596 - 6.288, Cu 0.202 - 1.236, Co 0.074 - 0.115, Ni 0.0002 - 0.544, Cr 0.243 - 0.936, Mn 3.667 - 9.955 and Pb 0.488 - 1.259 ppm. No sample was containing the heavy metal above the critical level mentioned in typical and unsafe heavy metal levels in soil.

This work suggests a new model for anisotropic compact stars with quintessence in f(T)gravity by us-ing the off-diagonal tetrad and the power-law as f(T)=βT^(n),where T is the scalar torsion andβand n are real *** acquired field equations incorporating the anisotropic matter source along with the quintessence field,in f(T)gravity,are investigated by making use of the specific character of the scalar torsion T for the observed stars PSRJ1614-2230,***-3,EXO1785-248,and *** is suggested that all the stellar struc-tures under examination are advantageously independent of any central singularity and are *** graphical analysis shows that various physical features which are crucially important for the emergence of the stellar structures are conferred.

A survey was conducted with the aim to document the indigenous information of Charkotli Hills,Batkhela District,Malakand,*** area has rich vegetation and a high potential for ethnobotanical *** was collected on various traditional uses of 100 plants distributed over 49 families,of which 43 families were of dicot,2 of monocot,2 of pteridophyta,and 1 of *** plants have more than one local ***-six plants were found to be medicinal species,21 fruit and edible seed species,11 furniture species,18 fodder or forage species,12 vegetable species,12 fuel species,11 thatching and building species,5 hedge or fencing species,5 timber wood species,5 poisonous plants,3 species used in ketchup,2 fixed oil yielding species,2 miswak species,2 species for making sticks for cattle and defense purposes,2 species cultivated for ornamental purposes,2 species used as mehindi by girls,1 irritant species,1 species for the making of Salai(a little stick for applying‘surma’to the eyes),1 species for tanning,1 species used as refresher in milk pots,1 species giving gum used as chewing gum,and 1 species used as insect *** area is under heavy pressure of deforestation and overgrazing,which have reduced the regeneration of woody *** ecological manage-ment is required to protect the wildlife and ethnobotanical resources for the coming generations.

In this study,we observe that,in the presence of the string cloud parameter a and the quintessence parameterγ,with the equation of state parameter,ω_(q) = -2/3the radius of the shadow of the Schwarzschild black hole increases as compared with that in the pure Schwarzschild black hole *** existence of both quintessential dark energy and the cloud of strings increases the shadow size;hence,the strength of the gravitational field around the Schwarzschild black hole *** the data collected by the Event Horizon Telescope(EHT)collaboration for M87*and Sgr A*,we obtain upper bounds on the values of a andγ.Further,we see the effects of a andγon the rate of emission energy for the Schwarzschild black *** notice that the rate of emission energy is higher in the presence of clouds of strings and ***,we study the weak deflection angle using the Gauss-Bonnet *** show the influence of a andγon the weak deflection *** notice that both a andγincrease the deflection angleα.
