Dapoxetine is a newer anti-depressant that is used for severe forms of depression via selective serotonin reuptake inhibition *** aimed to evaluate the effect of different doses of dapoxetine lonely or with acetaminophen(AmP).Seven groups of albino rats were used where dapoxetine was administered orally at the doses of 3,5,and 8 mg/kg body weight for a period of 14 days in groups 2,4,and 6,***(67.5 mg/kg body weight)was co-administered with dapoxetine(3,5,and 8 mg/kg body weight)for 14 days in groups 3,5 and 7,*** in mid and high dose plus AmP increased body weight and hematological *** and rearing were declined with mid and high doses of dapoxetine+AmP,contrary to *** was decreased with high doses of dapoxetine+*** dose of dapoxetine+AmP induced lowering of serotonin and dopamine as well as increasing of *** derived neurotrophic factor was decreased in all *** stress biomarkers were augmented with high dose of dapoxetine+*** doses of dapoxetine and/or AmP induced loss of the Purkinje cell layer at *** high dose of dapoxetine+AmP denotes behavioral,histopathological and neurochemical alterations,even though no serotonin syndrome occurs.

A joint two-dimensional(2D)direction-of-arrival(DOA)and radial Doppler frequency estimation method for the L-shaped array is proposed in this paper based on the compressive sensing(CS)*** from the conventional CS-based methods where the joint spatial-temporal parameters are characterized in one large scale matrix,three smaller scale matrices with independent azimuth,elevation and Doppler frequency are introduced adopting a separable observation ***,the estimation is achieved by L1-norm minimization and the Bayesian CS *** addition,under the L-shaped array topology,the azimuth and elevation are separated yet coupled to the same radial Doppler ***,the pair matching problem is solved with the aid of the radial Doppler ***,numerical simulations corroborate the feasibility and validity of the proposed algorithm.

Pulmonary arteriovenous malformations （AVm） lung is defined by an abnormal communication between pulmonary artery（ies） and vein（s） responsible for a right-left shunt. Congenital forms are most common and usually associated with Rendu-Osler disease （ROD）. Inversely, 15-45% of patients with ROD present lung AVm Nowadays, embolization is preferred to surgical resection in the majority of cases. Except for certain cases where surgery is indicated. This paper shows the role of surgery in AVms.

Surface and subsurface oil shale (OS) rocks in Jordan have potential economic value for the country and still unutilized. This research paper focuses on central and southern OS deposits in Jordan. Brief characterization of four OS deposits is presented. Size distribution test and elemental analysis were performed. Shale oil was extracted via three solvation methods: Soxhlet extraction, extraction via mixing and stirring, and lastly super-critical fluid extraction. major shale oil fractions were obtained from extract fractionation on chromatographic column. The nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy technique was used to study qualitatively the fractional composition of OS extract. Results show that all studied OS deposits have quite similar trend in their particle size distribution and their elemental composition. These OS deposits are found to be varying in their solvation behavior, fractional yield, and shale oil composition. Highest yield is obtained from polar solvents. The OS extraction via solvation processes is promising under certain extraction conditions such as super-critical conditions. The solvation variability of Jordanian OS indicates that different extraction techniques suit different OS deposits. Such variability should be considered in any future extraction options.

Could Ambulatory Blood Pressure monitoring Be a Routine Investigation for Patients with mild Cognitive Impairment?

Objectives: To study the ambulatory measured blood pressure (ABPm) profile in normotensive patients with mild cognitive impairment (mCI). Patients and methods: The study was designed as a case control study including 50male patients with mild cognitive impairment in the age group of 30 - 50 years old. The control group included 30 volunteers with no cognitive impairment and in the same age group (30 - 50 years old) and same gender. mini-mental estate examination, office and ABP monitoring (ABPm) and brain mRI scans were done for cases and controls. Results: Thirty patients (60%) with mCI revealed a non-dipper blood pressure pattern. Sleeping systolic blood pressure and sleeping systolic load were significantly higher in patients with mCI than in normal volunteers (p = 0.01). mRI brain showed more white matter lesions (WmLs) in patients with mCI than in normal volunteers;however, this didn’t reach significance level (p = 0.056). Conclusion: mCI in normotensive young adult patients could reflect an abnormal circadian blood pressure rhythm. Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring could be an essential investigation in young adult mCI patients.

Background: At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, some reports demonstrated that children are at lower risk of infection. Though, with the growing transmission of the virus, it has been illustrated that it can infect children. Nevertheless, the features and outcomes of COVID-19 infection in children are still unclear. Objective: This study aims to describe the clinical characters and outcomes of children infected with COVID-19 and admitted to a hospital in Saudi Arabia. Design and Setting: This is a retrospective study that was carried out in Imam Abdulrahman Al Faisal Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, by collecting data from patients’ records of children who were admitted to the hospital from March to July 2020. The collected data included information on the age and gender of the children, as well as their clinical course during hospitalization. Introduction: mediastinal parathyroid adenoma localization is a rare entity. We report a case of excision by manubriotomy of intrathymic parathyroid adenoma detected by Computed Tomography scan of the chest and neck and confirmed by Technetium-99 m-sestamibi scan (99 mTc-mIBI). Case Presentation: A 68 years old woman with history of hypercalcaemia, PTH elevation and operation for pathological fracture of the left femur 7 days before was presented to our service. The patient underwent manubriotomy and the adenoma was found within the right lobe of the thymus gland. Conclusion: The Technetium-99 m-sestamibi scan evaluation can be useful in the preoperative localization of ectopic parathyroid adenomas. The surgical approach by manubriotomy is privileged when the ectopic adenoma is in the upper part of anterior mediastinum.
