Photovoltaic(PV)arrays are usually installed in open areas;hence,they are vulnerable to lightning strikes that can result in cell degradation,complete damage,service disruption,and increased maintenance *** a result,it is imperative to develop an effective and efficient lightning protection system by evaluating the transient behaviour of PV arrays during lightning *** aim is to evaluate the transient analysis of large-scale PV systems when subjected to lightning strikes using the finite difference time domain(FDTD)*** overvoltages are calculated at various points within the mounting *** optimise the FDTD method's execution time and make it more suitable for less powerful hardware,a variable cell size approach is ***,larger cell dimensions are used in the earthing system and smaller cell dimensions are used in the mounting *** FDTD method is utilised to calculate the temporal variation of transient overvoltages for large-scale PV systems under different scenarios,including variations in the striking point,soil resistivity,and the presence of a metal *** results indicate that the highest transient overvoltages occur at the striking point,and these values increase with the presence of a PV metal frame as well as with higher soil ***,a comparison is performed between the overvoltage results obtained from the FDTD approach and the partial element equivalent circuit(PEEC)method at the four corner points of the mounting systems to demonstrate the superior accuracy of the FDTD ***,a laboratory experiment is conducted on a small-scale PV system to validate the simulation *** calculated overvoltages obtained from the FDTD and PEEC methods are compared with the measured values,yielding a mean absolute error of 5%and 11%for the FDTD and PEEC methods,respectively,thereby confirming the accuracy of the FDTD simulation model.

Transportation systems primarily depend on vehicular flow on roads. Developed coun-tries have shifted towards automated signal control, which manages and updates signal synchronisation automatically. In contrast, traffic in underdeveloped countries is mainly governed by manual traffic light systems. These existing manual systems lead to numerous issues, wasting substantial resources such as time, energy, and fuel, as they cannot make real‐time decisions. In this work, we propose an algorithm to determine traffic signal durations based on real‐time vehicle density, obtained from live closed circuit television camera feeds adjacent to traffic signals. The algorithm automates the traffic light system, making decisions based on vehicle density and employing Faster R‐CNN for vehicle detection. Additionally, we have created a local dataset from live streams of Punjab Safe City cameras in collaboration with the local police authority. The proposed algorithm achieves a class accuracy of 96.6% and a vehicle detection accuracy of 95.7%. Across both day and night modes, our proposed method maintains an average precision, recall, F1 score, and vehicle detection accuracy of 0.94, 0.98, 0.96 and 0.95, respectively. Our proposed work surpasses all evaluation metrics compared to state‐of‐the‐art methodologies.

Despite substantial progress in the treatment of castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC), including radiation therapy and immunotherapy alone or in combination, the response to treatment remains poor due to the hypoxic and immunosuppressive nature of the tumor microenvironment. Herein, we exploited the bioreactivity of novel polymer–lipid manganese dioxide nanoparticles (PLMDs) to remodel the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) by increasing the local oxygen levels and extracellular pH and enhancing radiation-induced immunogenic cell death. This study demonstrated that PLMD treatment sensitized hypoxic human and murine CRPC cells to radiation, significantly increasing radiation-induced DNA double-strand breaks and ultimately cell death, which enhanced the secretion of damage-associated molecular patterns, attributable to the induction of autophagy and endoplasmic reticulum stress. Reoxygenation via PLMDs also polarized hypoxic murine RAW264.7 macrophages toward the M1 phenotype, enhancing tumor necrosis factor alpha release, and thus reducing the viability of murine CRPC TRAMP-C2 cells. In a syngeneic TRAMP-C2 tumor model, intravenous injection of PLMDs suppressed, while radiation alone enhanced recruitment of regulatory T cells and myeloid-derived suppressor cells. Pretreatment with PLMDs followed by radiation down-regulated programmed death-ligand 1 and promoted the infiltration of antitumor CD8+ T cells and M1 macrophages to tumor sites. Taken together, TIME modulation by PLMDs plus radiation profoundly delayed tumor growth and prolonged median survival compared with radiation alone. These results suggest that PLMDs plus radiation is a promising treatment modality for improving therapeutic efficacy in radioresistant and immunosuppressive solid tumors.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of retention ponds on the environment and population health by analyzing water samples from various ponds in Mogadishu, to determine the prevalence of waterborne illnesses that occur during the rainy season in Mogadishu, and to find out what experts thought about the effects of retention ponds on the environment as well as population health in Mogadishu. Methods: Mixed designs were used in the study. The first design is an exploratory study where samples are taken from different retention ponds in Mogadishu. The second design involves gathering secondary data from the online FSNAU Dashboard regarding the incidence of rainfall and waterborne illnesses including malaria and cholera. Additionally, a cross-sectional survey of expert opinions using questionnaires was the third design. The 10 water samples were taken from retention ponds in Mogadishu as part of the sample size. Data on the fourth month was also gathered using the FNSAU dashboard, and seventy sample sizes were used for the expert self-administered questionnaire for the third design. Excel was used for data analysis in the initial design. While BMI SPSS versions 22 were used to analyze the data from the Self-administered Questionnaire, additional methods were utilized to compute descriptive statistics, such as mean and standard deviation, and to analyze demographic data in a frequency table. Findings: The results show that three samples had unsatisfactory scores (Grade D): Yaqshid (Warshadda Bastada) had a WQI of 80.85, Boondheer (Bondher Pond) had a WQI of 80.64, and Wartanabad (Xamar Jadiid Pond) had a WQI of 80.89. The remaining samples were all rated as fair (grade), which indicates that they ranged from 50 to 75. The months with the largest rainfall already occurred in December, November, and October, when the prevalence of diseases during the rainy season was highest for cholera cases. AIM:To investigate the effect of lacidipine,thiamine pyrophosphate(TPP)and the combination of lacidipine and TPP against oxidative and inflammatory eye damage induced by bilateral common carotid artery ligation in ***:Male albino Wistar rats were categorized as those who underwent sham surgery(SG),right and left common carotid cross-clamping and unclamping procedure(CCU),lacidipine+CCU(LCCU),TPP+CCU(TCCU),and combination of lacidipine and TPP(LTC)+CCU(LTCCU).One hour before anesthesia,the LCCU(n=6)received lacidipine(4 mg/kg,orally)and the TCCU(n=6)received TPP(20 mg/kg,intraperitoneally).The SG(n=6)and CCU(n=6)received the same volume of distilled water from the same *** anesthesia(60 mg/kg ketamine,intraperitoneally),the necks of the rats were opened in the *** was created for 10min by placing clips on the right and left common carotid *** in the SG only underwent subcutaneous *** 10min,the clips were removed and reperfusion was achieved for six ***,the animals were euthanized(120 mg/kg ketamine,intraperitoneally)and the levels of oxidant,antioxidant and proinflammatory cytokines in the eye tissues were *** retinal tissue of the eye was also examined ***:Lacidipine,TPP,and LTC significantly prevent the increase in malondialdehyde,tumor necrosis factoralpha,interleukin-1β(IL-1β),and IL-6 levels,decrease in total glutathione levels,superoxide dismutase and catalase activities and histopathological retinal damage in eye tissue induced by bilateral common carotid artery ligation in *** impact of these drugs on protection is determined to be LTC>lacidipine>***:As a result of the study,it is concluded that LTC may be more effective than lacidipine and TPP alone in treating ocular ischemic syndrome.

Inspired by the anti-pancreatic promising results of our novel aminated cyclopropylmethylphosphonate compounds, an in vitro anti-prostate cancer activity exploration of these compounds was carried out on human prostate cancer cell line PC-3, and showed potent inhibiting activity at low micromolar concentrations (with an IC50 of approximately 45 μM).
