The Role of Electrocardiogram DETERMINE Score in Prediction of Coronary Artery Disease Severity

Background: A major cause of mortality and disability on a global scale is myocardial infarction (MI). These days, the most reliable way to detect and measure MI is via cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMR). Aims and Objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of the Electrocardiogram DETERMINE Score in predicting the severity of coronary artery disease (CAD) in patients who have experienced an Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) & to assess improvements in left ventricular function at 6 months following coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). Subjects and Methods: This Observational cohort study was done at the Cardiology and Radiology department and cardiac surgery department, Al-Azhar university hospitals and Helwan University hospital. The study involved 700 cases who patients diagnosed with Acute Myocardial Infarction and fulfilled specific criteria for selection. Result: There was highly statistically significant relation between Myocardial infarction size and ECG Marker Score as mean infarct size elevated When the number of ECG markers increased. There was a highly statistically significant relation between myocardial infarct segments, myocardial infarction size and improvement of cardiac function 6 months post-CABG. Conclusion: The study found that larger myocardial infarctions corresponded with higher DETERMINE Scores. It concluded that an ECG-based score better estimates infarct size than LVEF alone. Additionally, there was a significant statistical correlation between the size and segmentation of myocardial infarction and better cardiac function six months after CABG.

Computer vision is one of the significant trends in computer *** plays as a vital role in many applications,especially in the medical *** detection and segmentation of different tumors is a big challenge in the medical *** proposed framework uses ultrasound images from Kaggle,applying five diverse models to denoise the images,using the best possible noise-free image as input to the U-Net model for segmentation of the tumor,and then using the Convolution Neural Network(CNN)model to classify whether the tumor is benign,malignant,or *** main challenge faced by the framework in the segmentation is the speckle ***’s is a multiplicative and negative issue in breast ultrasound imaging,because of this noise,the image resolution and contrast become reduced,which affects the diagnostic value of this imaging *** result,speckle noise reduction is very vital for the segmentation *** framework uses five models such as Generative Adversarial Denoising Network(DGAN-Net),Denoising U-Shaped Net(D-U-NET),Batch Renormalization U-Net(Br-UNET),Generative Adversarial Network(GAN),and Nonlocal Neutrosophic ofWiener Filtering(NLNWF)for reducing the speckle noise from the breast ultrasound images then choose the best image according to peak signal to noise ratio(PSNR)for each level of *** five used methods have been compared with classical filters such as Bilateral,Frost,Kuan,and Lee and they proved their efficiency according to PSNR in different levels of *** five diverse models are achieved PSNR results for speckle noise at level(0.1,0.25,0.5,0.75),(33.354,29.415,27.218,24.115),(31.424,28.353,27.246,24.244),(32.243,28.42,27.744,24.893),(31.234,28.212,26.983,23.234)and(33.013,29.491,28.556,25.011)forDGAN,Br-U-NET,D-U-NET,GANand NLNWF *** to the value of PSNR and level of speckle noise,the best image passed for segmentation using U-Net and classification usingCNNto detect tumor *** experiments proved

Price Prediction of Seasonal Items Using Machine Learning and Statistical Methods

Price prediction of goods is a vital point of research due to how common e-commerce platforms *** are several efforts conducted to forecast the price of items using classicmachine learning algorithms and *** models can predict prices of various financial instruments,e.g.,gold,oil,cryptocurrencies,stocks,and second-hand *** these efforts,the literature has no model for predicting the prices of seasonal goods(e.g.,Christmas gifts).In this context,we framed the task of seasonal goods price prediction as a regression ***,we utilized a real online trailer dataset of Christmas gifts and then we proposed several machine learningbased models and one statistical-based model to predict the prices of these seasonal ***,we utilized a real-life dataset of Christmas gifts for the prediction ***,we proposed support vector regressor(SVR),linear regression,random forest,and ridgemodels as machine learningmodels for price ***,we proposed an autoregressive-integrated-movingaverage(ARIMA)model for the same purpose as a statistical-based ***,we evaluated the performance of the proposed models;the comparison shows that the best performing model was the random forest model,followed by the ARIMA model.

To improve the tribological performance of CSS-42L bearing steel,smooth surfaces(SSs),groovetextured surfaces(GSs),GSs with Sn-Ag-Cu(GSs-SAC),and GSs with Sn-Ag-Cu-Ti_(3)C_(2)(GSs-SACT)were prepared on *** addition,experimental studies were conducted on tribological *** obtained results indicated that GSs-SACT exhibited the best anti-friction and noise reduction *** remarkable tribological performances were attributed to the synergistic effects of grooves,Sn-Ag-Cu,and MXene-Ti_(3)C_(2).The inconsistent rules of frictional forces were improved by the grooves and SACT,which inhibit the friction-induced *** micro-nano size-effects of MXene-Ti_(3)C_(2) enhanced the repairing effect and anti-friction property of composite lubricants,which improved the profile characteristics of GSs-SACT.

Ultrastructural Study of Limb Bud Development in Green Turtles Chelonia mydas

Morphological changes during the embryonic development of limbs of the green turtle,Chelonia mydas,were studied during the entire period of incubation,using transmission and scanning electron microscopy(TEM and SEM). Limb buds were first observed at Stage 2. At that stage,the tip was covered with an apical ectodermal ridge(AER) which began to regress at Stage 6. Associated with AER was the presence of the mesenchymal cells which,consequently,differentiated into muscles,cartilage and bones. The gross features of the skeletal development appeared as a condensation of the cartilaginous structures in the proximal distal region of the limbs. The primordial digits were gradually enclosed by hard keratinized webbed skin. The increase in rate of ossification and skin pigmentation was correlated with the growth of the limbs. The development of the limbs was closely related to the transitional appearance of mucus secretion from the epidermis.

Medical image segmentation is a crucial process for computer-aided diagnosis and *** image segmentation refers to portioning the images into small,disjointed parts for simplifying the processes of analysis and *** and speckle noise are different types of noise in magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)that affect the accuracy of the segmentation process ***,image enhancement has a significant role in MRI *** paper proposes a novel framework that uses 3D MRI images from Kaggle and applies different diverse models to remove Rician and speckle noise using the best possible noise-free *** proposed techniques consider the values of Peak Signal to Noise Ratio(PSNR)and the level of noise as inputs to the attention-U-Net model for segmentation of the *** framework has been divided into three stages:removing speckle and Rician noise,the segmentation stage,and the feature extraction *** framework presents solutions for each problem at a different stage of the *** the first stage,the framework uses Vibrational Mode Decomposition(VMD)along with Block-matching and 3D filtering(Bm3D)algorithms to remove the ***,the most significant Rician noise-free images are passed to the three different methods:Deep Residual Network(DeRNet),Dilated Convolution Auto-encoder Denoising Network(Di-Conv-AE-Net),andDenoising Generative Adversarial Network(DGAN-Net)for removing the speckle *** Bm3D have achieved PSNR values for levels of noise(0,0.25,0.5,0.75)for reducing the Rician noise by(35.243,32.135,28.214,24.124)and(36.11,31.212,26.215,24.123)*** framework also achieved PSNR values for removing the speckle noise process for each level as follows:(34.146,30.313,28.125,24.001),(33.112,29.103,27.110,24.194),and(32.113,28.017,26.193,23.121)forDeRNet,Di-Conv-AE-Net,and DGAN-Net,*** experiments that have been conducted have proved the efficiency of the proposed framework a

This study explores the challenges faced by congenitally blind individuals in navigating urban ***,this research investigates the factors that contribute to the construction of city mental mapping for individuals who are born ***-one congenitally blind individuals from the University of Jordan were asked to define and describe specific elements of the city based on their personal experiences and ***,participants were guided through two urban paths:familiar and *** participants were asked to complete a survey regarding their experiences during the *** collected data was analyzed by using thematic *** results revealed that congenitally blind individuals construct their mental image of the city by using their three senses of touching,hearing,and smelling,as well as their safety and *** mental image consists of five key elements:links,reference points,areas,separators,and *** the small size of the study sample and the specificity of the context,the results of this study will tremendously help planners in designing highly inclusive urban *** characteristics that can be recognized by the blinds will enhance their accessibility of urban spaces,encourage independent mobility,increase the quality of life and social inclusion for them.

Immigrants and the utilization of hospital emergency departments

BACKGROUND：Immigrants with language barriers are at high risk of having poor access to health care services. However, several studies have indicated that immigrants tend to use emergency departments （EDs） as their primary source of care at the expense of primary care. This may place an additional burden on already overcrowded EDs and lead to a low level of patient satisfaction with ED care. The study was to review if immigrants utilize ED care differently from host populations and to assess immigrants＇ satisfaction with ED care. METHODS：Studies about immigrants＇ utilization of EDs in Australia and worldwide were ***：There are conflicting results in the literature about the pattern of ED care use among immigrants. Some studies have shown higher utilization by immigrants compared to host populations and others have shown lower utilization. Overall, immigrants use ED care heavily, make inappropriate visits to EDs, have a longer length of stay in EDs, and are less satisfied with ED care as compared to host ***：Immigrants might use ED care differently from host populations due to language and cultural barriers. There is sparse Australian literature regarding immigrants＇ access to health care including ED care. To ensure equity, further research is needed to inform policy when planning health care provision to immigrants.

Residual stresses induced during turning processes can affect thequality and performance of machined products,depending on its direction and *** stresses can be highly detrimental as they can lead to creeping,fatigue,and stress corrosion *** final state of residual stresses in a workpiece depends on its material as well as the cutting-tool configuration such as tool geometry/coating,cooling and wear conditions,and process parameters including the cutting speed,depth-ofcut and ***,there have been disagreements in some literatures regarding influences of the abovementioned factors on residual stresses due to different cutting conditions,tool parameters and workpiece materials used in the specific *** review paper categorizes different methods in experimental,numerical and analytical approaches employed for determining induced residual stresses and their relationships with cutting conditions in a turning *** is presented for the effects of different cutting conditions and parameters on the final residual stresses state.

Stratified Double Quartile Ranked Set Samples

The procedure of stratified double quartile ranked set sampling （SDQRSS） method is introduced to estimate the population mean. The SDQRSS is compared with the simple random sampling （SRS）, stratified ranked set sampling （SRSS） and stratified simple random sampling （SSRS）. It is shown that SDQRSS estimator is an unbiased of the population mean and more efficient than SRS, SRSS and SSRS for symmetric and asymmetric distributions. In addition, by SDQRSS we can increase the efficiency of mean estimator for specific value of the sample size.
