Long-term biopotential monitoring requires high-performance biocompatible wearable dry *** currently,it is challenging to establish a form-preserving fit with the skin,resulting in high interface impedance and motion *** research aims to present an innovative solution using an all-green organic dry electrode that eliminates the aforementioned *** dry electrode is prepared by introducing biocompatible maltitol into the chosen conductive polymer,poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate).Thanks to the secondary doping and plasticizer effect of maltitol,the dry electrode exhibits good stretchability(62%),strong self-adhesion(0.46 N/cm),high conductivity(102 S/cm),and low Young's modulus(7 mPa).It can always form a conformal contact with the skin even during body *** with good electrical properties,the electrode enables a lower skin contact impedance compared to the current standard Ag/AgCl gel ***,the application of this dry electrode in bioelectrical signal measurement(electromyography,electrocardiography,electroencephalogra-phy)and long-term biopotential monitoring was successfully demonstrated.

Prevalence and Factors Associated with Chronic Low Back Pain in the mining Sector in Burkina Faso

Introduction: Low back pain is nowadays a real public health problem in companies. The objective of the study was to determine the prevalence and factors associated with chronic low back pain among workers of a mining company in Burkina Faso. material and methods: This was a descriptive and analytical cross-sectional study with a retrospective collection that took place from August 1, 2021 to march 16, 2022 in a gold mine in Burkina Faso. It focused on mine workers who participated in the 2019 annual medical visit. Results: Out of a total workforce of 880 workers who took part in the annual medical visit in 2019, 165 had chronic common low back pain, i.e. a prevalence of 18.75%. The average age of low back pain workers was 37.21 ± 7.5 years. Among the workers suffering from low back pain, 62 (37.58%) held the position of machine operator. Clinically, mechanical pain was found in 113 low back pain workers (76%) and twenty-nine (17.58%) had radicular pain. Standard radiography of the lumbar spine was abnormal in 129 workers (78.18%. In the univariate analysis, the factors associated with the pathology were sex, level of study, work station and seniority in the position. After a logistic regression, the factors associated with its occurrence were whole-body vibration (Fisher’s test = 12.7541;P = 0.000), male sex (Fisher’s test = 8.363;P = 0.004), and seniority for 4 to 5 years (Chi2 = 4.0234;p = 0.046). Conclusion: The study reveals the existence of chronic low back pain cases among the workers of the mining company. There is a predominance of the pathology in men, workers exposed to vibrations and those with a seniority of 4 to 5 years. It is necessary to establish a policy of prevention of low back pain for the benefit of workers, in particular those exposed to vibrations.

Characterization and separation of pyrite from Abu Tartur black shale

This work aimed for pyrite separation from Abu Tartur black shale as a source of sulfur to be an added economic value of Abu Tartur area. The considered samples in the present work were collected from a core drilled in Abu Tartur plateau representing the pyrite-rich black shale of the U. Cretaceous age, Sample characterization was carried out using petrographic microscope, XRD, DTA/DTG, C/S and XRF techniques. Clay minerals, silt-sized quartz, calcite, and hematite were the main minerals associating pyr- ite （5.34g）. Liberation behavior of the sample was about 80% below 5 μm. Sample processing was achieved through one-day soaking followed by classification using I inch mozley hydro-cyclone where about 35.5% by weight went to underflow and 64.5% went to overflow. The underflow product was subjected to an advanced gravity separation process using SB-40 Falcon Concentrator through a CCD statistical design prepared by Design-Expert 6.0 software proposed to opti- mize the separation process through a study for the effects of frequency （Hz） and water pressure （Psi） on both assay and recovery of the sulfur-rich heavy fraction. A heavy concentrate weighed 10.90% with inorganic sulfur content reached 11.37% （21.24% pyrite） with overall recovery （50.01%） was obtained after two cleaning at the optimum conditions.

Optimizing the Preparation Parameters of Nanocrystalline Zirconia for Catalytic Applications

Nanocrystalline zirconia powder with high surface area and high tetragonal phase percentage is prepared by the precipitation method using ammonium hydroxide as a precipitating agent. The pH of precipitation, preparation temperature and calcinations＇ temperature are *** size, specific surface area, tetragonal phase percentage and the thermal stability of the prepared samples are identified by diferent characterization tools such as X-ray difraction（XRD）, thermo gravimetric analysis（TGA）, diferential scanning calorimetry（DSC）, BET surface area, scanning electron microscopy（SEm） and transmission electron microscopy（TEm）. The optimum preparation parameters for obtaining nanocrystalline zirconia with high percentage of tetragonal phase and high surface area are pH 9, preparation temperature of 80℃ and calcinations＇ temperature of 400℃. The sample prepared under optimized conditions showed a high specific surface area of 179.2 m2/g, high tetragonal phase percentage of 81% and high catalytic activity（60%） for synthesis of butyl acetate ester.

Hydrogeophysical and Structural Investigations Using VES: A Case Study of Dosso Region in the Southwestern Part of the meso-Cenozoic Iullemmeden Basin (Southwestern Niger)

A regional study connecting geolelectrical surveys with geology and hydrogeology was carried out in the western part of the Iullemmeden basin, precisely in the Dosso region in Niger. One hundred and four (104) vertical electrical sounds have been realized, among them nineteen representative were thus be used as parametric surveys. The local resistivity values of the geological formations of Quaternary range from 100 Ω⋅m to 1000 Ω⋅m (sands and lateritic sandstones). The Oligo-miocene formation of the Continental terminal (Ct) shows resistivity values ranging from 1 to 5 Ω⋅m (brackish groundwaters) to 1500 Ω⋅m (clay sandstones) while the Upper Cretaceous formation of the Continental “hamadien” (Ch) indicates values ranging from 20 Ω⋅m (sandy clay) to 5000 Ω⋅m (clayey sandstones). The geological formations of Paleocene have values from 2 Ω⋅m (marls) to 60 Ω⋅m (calcareous marl), while the Precambrian basement exhibits values of granite around 300 Ω⋅m to 60,000 Ω⋅m. The update of the structural settings reveals many faults in the study area which explain both the shape of the basin and the geometry of the aquifers. Tectonics is also consistent with the hydraulic characteristics of aquifers. In addition, brackish groundwaters were identified as perched aquifer groundwaters in different depths in Dosso region. They probably come from the marine brines during the regression of the Paleocene Sea.

Long-Term mortality of Children with Congenital Heart Disease Admitted to the Departmental University Hospital of Borgou/Alibori from 2011 to 2022

Background: Congenital heart disease is a public health issue due to its incidence and mortality rate. The aim of this study was to investigate the long-term mortality of children with congenital heart disease admitted to the Departmental University Hospital of Borgou/Alibori (CHUD-B/A) from 2011 to 2022. methods: This descriptive longitudinal study with analytical aims covered 11 years (April 1, 2011 to December 31, 2022). It consisted of a review of the records of children under 15 years of age with echocardiographically confirmed congenital heart disease. This was followed by an interview with the parents to assess the children’s current condition. Data were entered using Kobocollect software and analyzed using R Studio 4.2.2. software. Results: A total of 143 complete files were retained. The median age at diagnosis was 14 months (IIQ: Q1 = 4;Q3 = 60) with a range of 2 days and 175 months, and the sex-ratio (m/F) was 0.96. Left-to-right shunts were the most frequent cardiopathy group (62.9%). Only 35 children (24.5%) benefited from restorative treatment. The mortality rate was 31.5%. median survival under the maximum bias assumption was 114 months and 216 months under the assumption of minimum bias. Survival was significantly better in children with right-to-left shunts (p = 0.0049) under the assumption of minimum bias. The death risk factors were: age at diagnosis less than 12 months (aHR = 7.58;95% CI = 3.36 - 17.24;p Conclusion: The long-term mortality of congenital heart disease is high and favoured by the absence of restorative treatment. Local correction of congenital heart disease and medical follow-up will help to reduce this mortality.

Routing is a key function inWireless Sensor Networks(WSNs)since it facilitates data transfer to base *** attacks have the potential to destroy and degrade the functionality ofWSNs.A trustworthy routing system is essential for routing security andWSN *** methods have been implemented to build trust between routing nodes,including the use of cryptographic methods and centralized ***,the majority of routing techniques are unworkable in reality due to the difficulty of properly identifying untrusted routing node *** the moment,there is no effective way to avoid malicious node *** a consequence of these concerns,this paper proposes a trusted routing technique that combines blockchain infrastructure,deep neural networks,and markov Decision Processes(mDPs)to improve the security and efficiency of WSN *** authenticate the transmission process,the suggested methodology makes use of a Proof of Authority(PoA)mechanism inside the blockchain *** validation group required for proofing is chosen using a deep learning approach that prioritizes each node’s *** are then utilized to determine the suitable next-hop as a forwarding node capable of securely transmitting *** to testing data,our routing system outperforms current routing algorithms in a 50%malicious node routing scenario.

Effect of Water Application Rate on Growth Parameters of Farro 44 Rice Grown in a Selected Irrigation Scheme in Niger State, Nigeria

Water and land are the necessary agricultural inputs, and both are scarce these days. This study aims to determine the effect of water application rate on selected planting and crop parameters of Farro 44 rice during dry season farming and its growth response. The randomised complete block design was employed for the Farro 44 rice variety, with each plot size 4 m2 (2 m × 2 m) for ease of monitoring. A 0.3 m bound space separated each plot. The crop spacing was 0.2 m × 0.3 m, 0.3 m × 0.3 m, and 0.3 m × 0.4 m, respectively, for the row-to-row and plant-to-plant distance. The data collected were statistically analysed. The height of the faro 44 variety of rice ranged between 35.50 cm to 44.00 cm for plots with 2 tillers per hill, while that of 4 and 6 tillers per hill ranged between 35.50 cm to 41.40 cm and 35.50 cm to 39.30 cm, respectively. minimum damage of 2.32% was seen for plant hills of 2 tillers, while 9.21% and 11.89% were observed for tillers of 4 and 6, respectively. It was seen that plots with the highest spacing of 30 × 40 cm and tillers of 2 per hill were observed to perform better than those of the other plots within the experimental pots. Such plots had a maximum plant tiller of 37 when counted, with the height of the plants reaching 44 cm after 70 days of planting. In conclusion, farmers within the study area of the Kanko community in Niger State. Nigeria appears not to have any known knowledge of the soil they are cultivating and the water they use as a source of irrigation within the farming areas. It was further concluded that the rice crops would be produced maximally with minimal water application to the rice field.

Herein we reported the synthesis of a novel series of neocryptolepine（5-methyl-5H-indolo[2,3-b]quinoline） derivatives containing different substituents at Cll using methyl 1H-indole-3-carboxylate and N-methylaniline as starting material. The target 21 compounds were evaluated for their axltibacterial activity in vitro against gram-positive bacteria（B, subtilis and S. aureus） and gram-negative bacteria（E, coli and ***）. Almost all the tested compounds showed moderate to high activities against the four bacterial strains at the minimum inhibitory concentrations（mICs） of 1-10μg/mL. The obtained results suggest that part of the novel synthetic neocryptolepine derivatives exhibit significant antibacterial effect against all the tested organisms.

Clinical and Bacteriological Profile of Infections in Sickle Cell Children in Two Referral Hospitals in Niamey, Niger

Introduction: Infections are significant causes of mortality in sickle cell children in resource-limited countries. This study aimed to determine the clinical profile and bacterial ecology of infections in children with sickle-cell disease in two referral hospitals in Niamey. Patients and methods: A retrospective descriptive study was conducted from January 2018 to July 2020 in two referral hospitals in Niamey. All children aged one (1) to 15 years with sickle cell disease admitted for suspected infection, including at least one bacterial culture, were studied. Bacteriological analysis was performed using the appropriate culture media, using BactAlert (Reference 4700003 BTA3D60 Biomérieux). Results: Over 36-months, 350 children with a mean age of 10.9 months were admitted. The sex ratio was 1.2. The SS electrophoretic profile was the most common (93.4%). Immunization status was up to date in 66% of patients. Fever was the common reason for consultation (55.1%). Infection was confirmed in 62 patients (17.7%). The primary diagnoses were bacterial gastroenteritis (24.2%) and urinary tract infection (19.4%). Blood cultures were isolated from Salmonella typhi (13.0%) and Escherichia coli (8.7%). Klebsiella spp (7.1%) and Escherichia coli (5.0%) were detected in cytobacteriological examination of urine. Salmonella typhi (23.5%) and Escherichia coli (5.9%) were isolated on coproculture. Conclusion: Bacterial ecology appears not different from that usually observed in sickle-cell children. Salmonella and Escherichia coli were predominant.
