A Comparative Analysis on Surgical Outcomes and Complications of Endoscopic and Open Vein Harvesting Techniques

Objective: The great saphenous vein (GSV) is commonly used as a conduit for grafting during CABG surgery, and open GSV harvesting (OVH), commonly used with long incision to expose the vein. However, endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) is an alternative approach, utilizing specialized instruments and small incisions to harvest the vein. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on a cohort of patients who underwent Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) requiring great saphenous vein (GSV) harvesting which was done by EVH or OVH procedures. Demographic variables, including age and gender, were assessed for both groups. Intraoperative variables such as the number of grafts, cardiopulmonary bypass time, X clamp time, and type of procedure were analyzed. Postoperative variables, including infection and bleeding rates, were also evaluated. Results: The study included 30 patients each undergoing Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) with need of great saphenous vein harvesting which was done by EVH and OVH. Demographic variables were well-matched between the two groups in terms of age, while a significant difference in gender distribution was observed. Obesity and smok.ng were more prevalent in the OVH group, and EVH was associated with a higher mean number of grafts compared to OVH. Conversion to an open technique occurred in a portion of the EVH cases, and infection rates did not significantly differ between the EVH and OVH groups. However, the incidence of postoperative bleeding was significantly higher in the EVH group. Conclusion: This study provides valuable insights into the demographic, intraoperative, and postoperative variables associated with EVH and OVH techniques. EVH demonstrated advantages in terms of reduced infection rates compared to OVH. However, the higher incidence of postoperative bleeding associated with EVH raises concerns about potential risk..

Neuroimaging has emerged over the last few decades as a crucial tool in diagnosing Alzheimer’s disease(AD).Mild cognitive impairment(MCI)is a condition that falls between the spectrum of normal cognitive function and ***,previous studies have mainly used handcrafted features to classify MCI,AD,and normal control(NC)*** paper focuses on using gray matter(GM)scans obtained through magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)for the diagnosis of individuals with MCI,AD,and *** improve classification performance,we developed two transfer learning strategies with data augmentation(i.e.,shear range,rotation,zoom range,channel shift).The first approach is a deep Siamese network.DSN),and the second approach involves using a cross-domain strategy with customized *** performed experiments on the Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative(ADNI)dataset to evaluate the performance of our proposed *** experimental results demonstrate superior performance in classifying the three binary classification task.:NC ***,NC ***,and MCI ***,we achieved a classification accuracy of 97.68%,94.25%,and 92.18%for the three cases,*** study proposes two transfer learning strategies with data augmentation to accurately diagnose MCI,AD,and normal control individuals using GM *** findings provide promising results for future research and clinical applications in the early detection and diagnosis of AD.

烘干失重法粮食水分测定过程中,干燥箱温度的精准控制是检测结果准确性的重要保障。针对干燥箱温度变化过程非线性、时滞性和温控精度高的特点,提出一种基于粒子群模型参数辨识的变论域模糊PID复合温度控制策略。基于红外辐射干燥机理及能量守恒方程建立温控系统非线性模型,并利用粒子群优化算法完成参数辨识,通过设定二级偏差阈值,将变论域模糊PID算法结合Bang-Bang控制方法构成自适应分级复合控制策略。系统仿真实验表明:相较于常规PID控制和传统模糊PID控制方法,改进后的复合控制策略在超调量、调节时间和控制进度方面明显改善,在不同工作点温度下,控制误差均小于0.4℃,且具有较好的抗干扰能力。

Assessment of Radiological Hazards of Sedimentary, Igneous and Sediments Natural Rock.

Gamma-ray spectroscopy based on a 100% efficiency hyper-pure germanium detector was used to evaluate the activity concentrations of 226Ra, 232Th, and 40k.natural radionuclides in sedimentary, conglomerate, igneous and sedi-ments rock.samples collected from four different locations in Eastern desert in Egypt. The obtained activity concentrations are used to evaluate the radi-ological hazards indices, absorbed dose rate, annual effective dose equivalent in air, radium equivalent, external and internal hazard index, radiation level index, annual gonadal dose equivalent, excess lifetime cancer risk.and expo-sure rate. The results show that 1) the absorbed dose rate depends on the rock.type, 2) the annual effective dose equivalent in air in 71% of sample below 20 mSvy-1 (permissible limit for work.rs), 3) the conglomerate rock. show low radioactivity level, 4) sedimentary rock. are rich in radium while igneous rock. are rich in thorium and the sediments rock. are rich in both radium and thorium.

Litho-Tectonic Architecture of the Dialafara Area, k.dougou-k.niéba Inlier, Integration of New Field Data and Geophysics

The Dialafara area is part of the highly endowed k.dougou-k.niéba Inlier (k.I), West-Malian gold belt, which corresponds to a Paleoproterozoic window through the West African Craton (WAC). This study presents, first of all, an integration of geophysical data interpretation with litho-structural field reconnaissance and then proposes a new litho-structural map of the Dialafara area. The Dialafara area shows a variety of lithology characterized by volcanic and volcano-sedimentary units, metasediments and plutonic intrusion. These lithologies were affected by a complex superposition of structures of unequal importance defining three deformation phases (DD1 to DD3) under ductile to brittle regimes. These features permit to portray a new litho-structural map, which shows that the Dialafara area presents a more complex lithological and structural context than the one presented in regional map of the k.I. This leads to the evidence that this area could be a potential site for exploration as it is situated between two world-class gold districts.

Preliminary Study of Chemical Elements Distribution in Petroleum Source Rock. Donga and Yogou Formations of the Termit Sedimentary Basin (Est-Niger)

XRF and EDX analyses were carried out on 18 batches of representative raw samples to determine the distribution of major chemical elements in the petroleum source rock. of Donga and Yogou formations of Termit sedimentary basin. The chemical composition of these formations is dominated by silicon (Si), aluminum (Al) and iron (Fe). This is consistent with the oxide composition, which is also dominated by silicon oxide (SiO2), aluminum oxide (Al2O3) and iron monoxide (FeO). No less important chemical elements are calcium (Ca), potassium (k., sulfur (S), titanium (Ti), magnesium (Mg), manganese (Mn) and barium (Ba), as well as some of their oxides. All these major chemical elements are carried by silicate detrital minerals associated with pyrite and goethite and/or clay minerals such as k.olinite and interstratified illite, smectite and chlorite. This trend is illustrated by the values of the Si/Al and SiO2/Al2O3 ratios.

Exoscopy of Detrital Zircons from Niamey Neoproterozoic Sandstones (Eastern Edge of the West African Craton, Southwestern Niger): Interpretation of Detrital Sediments Provenance

This study focuses on exoscopic analyses of detrital zircon grains of Archean and Paleoproterozoic age, contained in the sediments from the Niamey Neoproterozoic sandstones (Niamey region), with a view to confirming the sediments sources already proposed (k.néma-Man domain for Archean-age zircons and Baoulé Mossi domain for Paleoproterozoic-age zircons). Exoscopic analysis reveals that Archean zircon grains are more corroded, with rounded to sub-rounded shapes, while Paleoproterozoic zircon grains are less corroded and mostly angular in shape. The strong corrosion of Archean zircon grains, implying long-distance transport, is consistent with the remoteness of the k.nema-Man domain which are the source these sediments. The fact that the Paleoproterozoic zircon grains show little or no wear implies a proximal source of sediments, corresponding to the Baoulé Mossi domain.

This research article proposes an automatic frame work.for detectingCOVID -19 at the early stage using chest X-ray image. It is an undeniable factthat coronovirus is a serious disease but the early detection of the virus presentin human bodies can save lives. In recent times, there are so many research solutions that have been presented for early detection, but there is still a lack.in needof right and even rich technology for its early detection. The proposed deeplearning model analysis the pixels of every image and adjudges the presence ofvirus. The classifier is designed in such a way so that, it automatically detectsthe virus present in lungs using chest image. This approach uses an imagetexture analysis technique called granulometric mathematical model. Selectedfeatures are heuristically processed for optimization using novel multi scaling deep learning called light weight residual–atrous spatial pyramid pooling(LightRES-ASPP-Unet) Unet model. The proposed deep LightRES-ASPPUnet technique has a higher level of contracting solution by extracting majorlevel of image features. Moreover, the corona virus has been detected usinghigh resolution output. In the framework. atrous spatial pyramid pooling(ASPP) method is employed at its bottom level for incorporating the deepmulti scale features in to the discriminative mode. The architectural work.ngstarts from the selecting the features from the image using granulometricmathematical model and the selected features are optimized using LightRESASPP-Unet. ASPP in the analysis of images has performed better than theexisting Unet model. The proposed algorithm has achieved 99.6% of accuracyin detecting the virus at its early stage.
