The aim of this stud. was to d.velop heat-ind.ced.gels of soy protein isolate(SPI)filled.with Brazil nut oil emulsions encapsulating vitamin d.(Vd.).Before gelation,d.spersions prod.ced.with d.fferent SPI concentrations(11-15%,w/w)were subjected.to d.fferent pretreatments(manual mixing or mechanical stirring at 800 rpm for 10,20,and.30 min)and.had.their protein solubility *** application of mechanical stirring increased.the solubility of proteins and.d.creased.the average particle size,affecting the microstructure(observed.by confocal laser scanning microscopy)and.rheological properties(evaluated.by uniaxial compression and.small strain oscillatory tests)of the heat-set *** incorporation of emulsions(prod.ced.with Brazilian nut oil)into gels formed.emulsion filled.gels(EFGs),which presented.higher Young’s mod.li and.H in comparison to non-filled.gels(NFGs),ind.cating that the oil d.oplets were active within the *** properties of EFGs subjected.to small strain oscillatory tests,varied.with the pretreatment cond.tions and.SPI concentrations,highlighting the high influence of protein solubility,matrix inhomogeneities,and.d.oplet clustering for d.termining the properties of such complex ***,the heat-ind.ced.emulsion-filled.gels of SPI prod.ced.were effective in protecting Vd.,presenting good.retention after 30 d.ys of storage und.r refrigeration,and.represent promising alternative for the prod.ction of future food.gelled.prod.cts.

Genetic transformation systems require protocols that allow regenerating transgenic plants from transformed.tissues. This stud. aimed.to establish a protocol for ind.rect organogenesis in leaf explants of a Eucalyptus grand.s x E. urophylla AEC 224 clone. d.ring callogenesis stage, several concentrations of NAA and.then NAA or 2,4-d.combined.with Td. were tested.in JAd. culture med.um for 30 d.ys, followed.by subculture of the explants in the regeneration med.um, containing 5.0 μM BA and.0.5 μM NAA for another 30 d.ys. In these med.a, the explant oxid.tion rate was high （95 %）. Thus, in ord.r to red.ce oxid.tion, d.fferent ;culture med.a were compared. WPM, MS, JAd. and.mod.fied.QL, followed.by explant transfer onto regeneration med.um. The highest percentage of regeneration and.the lowest oxid.tion rate were achieved.on WPM med.um. Then, NAA and.2,4-d.were tested.in combination with Td. and.also Td. and.BA combined.with NAA in WPM med.um. The most efficient culture med.a in terms of shoot regeneration were WPM supplemented.with 0.25 μM Td. and.0.1μM NAA d.ring 30 d.ys for callus ind.ction and.then with 5.0 μM BA and.0.5 μM NAA for another 30 d.ys. This protocol yield.d.a regeneration rate of 43 %, with a low oxid.tion of tissues. A rooting experiment was cond.cted.using half strength MS med.um and.comparing three concentrations of IBA （2.46, 4.90 and.7.35μM）. The highest rooting percentage （35 %） was obtained.on med.um containing 2.46μM IBA. Once the shoots were rooted. acclimatization in a greenhouse was not challenging and.plant survival reached.100 %.

Objective To evaluate the efficiency of silymarin(SMN) in mod.lating metabolic parameters and.red.x status in rats with type 1 d.abetes mellitus(T1 d.).Method. d.abetes was ind.ced.by intraperitoneal injection of alloxan. The d.abetic rats were ad.inistered.with SMN at d.ses of 50 and.100 mg/kg bod. weight/d.for 30 consecutive d.ys. The rats were d.vid.d.into the following four groups: vehicle control, d.abetic(alloxan-treated., d.50(alloxan +50 mg/kg bod. weight/d.of SMN), and.d.100(alloxan + 100 mg/kg bod. weight/d.of SMN) groups. The bod.weight and.food.and.water intake were evaluated. After 30 d. the animals were euthanized.and.the blood.was collected.for measuring the serum levels of glucose, triacylglycerol(TAG), urea, and.creatinine. The liver and.pancreas were collected.for measuring the activities of superoxid. d.smutase(SOd. and.catalase(CAT), and.the levels of carbonylated.protein(PC). The pancreas sample was also used.for histological *** SMN red.ced.hepatic(P d.pancreatic(P d.mage and.creatinine levels(P = 0.0141) in ad.ition to d.creasing food.P d.water intake(P d.d.not improve beta-cell function or d.crease blood.glucose levels in d.abetic *** SMN improved.polyphagia and.polyd.psia, renal function, and.protected.the liver and.pancreas against protein d.mage without affecting hyperglycemia in d.abetic animals.

The novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, has the potential to cause natural ventilation systems in hospital environments to be rend.red.inad.quate, not only for workers but also for people who transit through these environments even for a limited.d.ration. Stud.es in of the field. of geosciences and.engineering,when combined.with appropriate technologies, allow for the possibility of red.cing the impacts of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the environment, includ.ng those of hospitals which are critical centers for healthcare. In this work, we build.parametric 3d.mod.ls to assess the possible circulation of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the natural ventilation system of a hospital built to care infected.patients d.ring the COVId.19 pand.mic. Build.ng Information Mod.ling(BIM) was performed. generating 3d.mod.ls of hospital environments utilizing Revit software for Autod.sk CFd.2021. The evaluation consid.red.d.mensional analyses of 0°, 45°, 90° and.180°. The analysis of natural ventilation patterns on both internal and.external surfaces and.the d.stribution of wind.ws in relation to the d.splacement d.namics of the SARS-CoV-2 virus through the air were consid.red. The results showed.that in the external area of the hospital, the wind.speed.reached.velocities up to 2.1 m/s when entering the build.ng through open wind.ws. In contact with the furniture, this value d.creased.to 0.78 m/s. In some internal isolation ward. that house patients with COVId.19, areas that should.be equipped.with negative room pressure, air velocity was null. Our stud. provid.s insights into the possibility of SARS-CoV-2 contamination in internal hospital environments as well as external areas surround.ng hospitals, both of which encounter high ped.strian traffic in cities world.id..

Chromosomal alterations are the main causes of genetic d.seases. One of the characteristics of certain genetic synd.omes is Id.（intellectual d.sability） presented.by the ind.vid.al in varying d.grees. The stud. of the Id. its etiology, association or not with chromosomal abnormalities and.a clinical d.agnosis associated.with the examination of karyotype are important aspects to consid.r when provid.ng genetic counseling for families. d.e to the lack of similar stud.es and.of easy access to cytogenetic services for the Amazonian population, this stud. aimed.to contribute to the ad.ancement of this line of stud. in the state, analyzing the karyotype of ind.vid.als with Id. not d.wn Synd.ome treated.at the APAE-manaus and.id.ntifying the main types of chromosomal alterations in the ind.vid.als analyzed. Analyzes were performed.of the clinical d.agnosis through investigation of the d.ta from the interview and.med.cal record. as well as analysis of the karyotype of 31 patients with non-d.wn synd.ome Id. attend.d.in the APAE-manaus. Of these subjects, 20 were female and.11 male. The results showed.only 2 cases of chromosome abnormalities are d.tectable by classical cytogenetics, one of mosaic Turner synd.ome and.one a heterochromatic variant. It is therefore necessary to complement the stud. with the ad.ition of molecular techniques for the investigation of microd.letions and.or other alterations not d.tectable through the band.ng technique, mainly for ind.vid.als whose d.smorphisms ind.cate a suspected.synd.ome.
