In an effort to understand the molecular events contributing to the cytotoxicity activity of resveratrol(RSV), we investigated its effects on human lung adenocarcinoma epithelial cell line A549 at different concentrations. Cellular nucleoside metabolic profiling was determined by an established liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry method in A549 cells. RSV resulted in significant decreases and imbalances of deoxyribonucleoside triphosphates(d NTPs) pools suppressing subsequent DNA synthesis. Meanwhile, RSV at high concentration caused significant cell cycle arrest at S phase, in which cells required the highest dNTPs supply than other phases for DNA replication. The inhibition of DNA synthesis thus blocked subsequent progression through S phase in A549 cells,which may partly contribute to the cytotoxicity effect of RSV. However, hydroxyurea(HU), an inhibitor of RNR activity, caused similar dNTPs perturbation but no S phase arrest, finally no cytotoxicity effect. Therefore, we believed that the dual effect of high concentration RSV, including S phase arrest and DNA synthesis inhibition, was required for its cytotoxicity effect on A549 cells. In summary,our results provided important clues to the molecular basis for the anticancer effect of RSV on epithelial cells.

BACKGROUND Small-for-size grafts (SFSGs) in living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) could optimize donor postoperative outcomes and also expand the potential donor pool. Evidence on whether SFSGs would affect medium-term and long-term recipient graft survival is lacking. AIM To evaluate the impact of small-for-size liver grafts on medium-term and longterm graft survival in adult to adult LDLT. METHODS A systematic review and meta-analysis were performed by searching eligible studies published before January 24, 2019 on PubMed, EMBASE, and Web of Science databases. The primary outcomes were 3-year and 5-year graft survival. Incidence of small-for-size syndrome and short term mortality were also extracted. RESULTS This meta-analysis is reported according to the guidelines of the PRISMA 2009 Statement. Seven retrospective observational studies with a total of 1821 LDLT recipients were included in the meta-analysis. SFSG is associated with significantly poorer medium-term graft survival. The pooled odds ratio for 3-year graft survival was 1.58 [95% confidence interval 1.10-2.29, P = 0.014]. On the other hand, pooled results of the studies showed that SFSG had no significant discriminatory effect on 5-year graft survival with an odds ratio of 1.31 (95% confidence interval 0.87-1.97, P = 0.199). Furthermore, incidence of small-for-size syndrome detected in recipients of SFSG ranged from 0-11.4% in the included studies. CONCLUSION SFSG is associated with inferior medium-term but not long-term graft survival. Comparable long-term graft survival based on liver graft size shows that smaller grafts could be accepted for LDLT with appropriate flow modulatory measures. Close follow-up for graft function is warranted within 3 years after liver transplantation.

Including the middle hepatic vein in the right lobe liver graft has the advantage of providing direct venous drainage of the right anterior segment. To allow unimpeded passage of blood flow, we previously designed venoplasty of the middle and right hepatic veins. We found that venoplasty is also feasible when the inferior right hepatic vein is near to the right hepatic vein, or when multiple segment 8 hepatic vein orifices are exposed adjacent to the middle hepatic vein at the graft transection surface. By joining the hepatic vein orifices into a single opening, the anastomosis into the inferior vena cava is much facilitated. The technique is simple, yet versatile , and able to cope with variation of the configurations of the hepatic vein.

前賢在分析“有事君人者”章時,往往著眼“天民者”中的“天”字,以爲“天民”即大德、其德如天之民。然而,這種解讀方式一方面無視了在《孟子》裏所有作名詞用的“天民”其實都解作“天生之民”,另一方面則無視了“有事君人者”章中的“大人”境界仍在其之上的事實。例如朱熹在解釋“天民”時指出“必其道可行於天下,然後行之;不然則寧没世不見知而不悔,不肯小用其道以殉於人也”,這就跟《孟子》“大丈夫”“得志,與民由之;不得志,獨行其道”的描述幾乎無異。《孟子》中的“大丈夫”其實就是“大人”,换言之,在朱熹的解釋下,“有事君人者”章中的“天民”跟“大人”竟變得毫無分别。有見及此,本文嘗試另覓出路,以《孟》證《孟》之法,指出“天民者”與“大人”之差異在於前者著重外在事功而後者著重内聖功夫。本文繼而還原“有事君人者”章之本貌,並結合《孟子》“民爲貴”章分析,論證“有事君人者”章中“天民”實爲動賓結構,“天”作動詞用,“民”則爲受事者,“天民者”解作“定天下四海之民者”。在方法學上,本文嘗試指出在解讀早期中國文本時,有必要兼顧義理與語文學的角度。

AIM To investigate the impact of alpha-fetoprotein(AFP) on long-term recurrence rate and overall survival and we also aimed to define the level of AFP leading to a higher risk of disease recurrence and affecting patient *** Data of adult patients who received liver transplant(LT) for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) at our hospital from January 2000 to December 2013 were reviewed. Reviewed data included demographic characteristics, preoperative AFP level, operative details, follow-up details, and survival outcomes. Patients were mostly listed for LT based on Milan or UCSF criteria. For the purpose of this study, normal AFP level was defined as AFP value ian(interquartile range). Categorical variables were compared by Spearman's test. Discriminative analysis was used to define the lowest value of AFP that could affect the overall survival in study population. Statistical significance was defined by a P value of ian, 13 vs 13 vs 12; P = 0.745). The time to operation in Group A was longer(median, 94 vs 31 vs 35 d; P = 0.001). Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a significant pathogen mainly causing healthcare-associated infections(HAIs).Newly emerging high-risk clones of *** with elevated virulence profiles furtherly cause severe community-acquired infections(CAIs).Usually,it is not common for *** to co-carry exoU and exoS genes,encoding two type III secretion system(T3SS)*** pathogenicity mechanism of exoS+/exoU+strains of *** remains ***,we provide detailed evidence for a subset of hypervirulent *** strains,which abundantly co-express and secrete the T3SS effectors ExoS and *** exoS+/exoU+*** strains were available to cause both HAIs and *** CAI-associated strains could elicit severe inflammation and hemorrhage,leading to higher death rates in a murine acute pneumonia model,and had great virulence potential in establishing chronic infections,demonstrating hypervirulence when compared to PAO1(exoS+/exoU-)and PA14(exoS-/exoU+).Both ExoS and ExoU were co-expressed and co-secreted in abundance in exoS+/exoU+*** abundant protein secretion could boost exoS+/exoU+strains’potentials for cytotoxicity in vitro and pathogenicity in *** evidence indicates that exoU acquisition is likely mediated by horizontal gene transfer(HGT)of the pathogenicity island PAPI-2,while deletion of exoU was sufficient to mitigate virulence in the exoS+/exoU+***,bioinformatics analysis showed that such exoS+/exoU+*** strains turned out to be widely distributed across the ***,the research provide detailed evidence for the high virulence and epidemicity of exoS+/exoU+strains of ***,highlighting an urgent need for surveillance against these high-risk hypervirulent strains.

感应式无线电能传输系统中,非接触变压器存在错位等多种工况,引起耦合系数等参数大范围变化,影响系统特性。为了建立错位条件下非接触变压器的耦合系数模型,文中基于场路结合的分析方法,分析磁通耦合特性,给出了非接触变压器的"感应盲点"求解方法;并结合其耦合系数的变化规律,建立非接触变压器错位条件下耦合系数的计算模型。基于磁场分布的特点,进一步提出副边多绕组的新型非接触变压器结构。采用优化后的变压器结构,设计制作了60 W输出的非接触变换器,耦合系数的计算结果和实际测试结果一致,证明了所提"感应盲点"分析方法与耦合系数计算模型的正确性,验证了优化后的新型非接触变压器具有良好的错位自适应能力。
