While most types of malignancies remain recalcitrant to treatment, application of natural products or their analogs in daily life has offered some hopes as an effective prophylaxis against cancer onset and progression in the past decades. Emerging evidence supports a link between garlic consumption and decreased cancer incidence. Notably, aged garlic extract(AGE) exhibits stronger anti-cancer activities than that of fresh garlic, by virtue of enrichment of several AGE-specific organosulfur compounds, including S-allylmercaptocysteine(SAMC). In this review, we summarize the up-to-date mechanistic pathways associated with the anti-proliferative, anti-metastatic and pro-apoptotic effects of SAMC in various cancer models. Based upon the proven safety and improved understanding on its anti-neoplastic properties, SAMC has gained recognition as a promising daily food supplement for cancer prevention or management.

A prototype of full-color active-matrix micro-light-emitting diode(micro-LED)micro-display with a pixel density of 391 pixel per inch(ppi)using InGaN/AlGaInP heterogeneous integration is *** blue/green dual-color micro-LED arrays realized on a single metal organic chemical vapor deposition(MOCVD)-grown GaN-on-Si epiwafer and AlGaInP red micro-LED arrays are both monolithically fabricated,followed by the integration with a common complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CMOS)backplane via flip-chip bonding technology to form a doublelayer thin-film display ***-color images with decent color gamut and brightness are successfully displayed through the fine adjustment of driving current densities of RGB *** full-color display combines the advantages of high quantum efficiency of InGaN material on blue/green light and AlGaInP material on red light through heterogeneous integration and high pixel density through monolithic fabrication approach,demonstrating the feasibility and prospects of high brightness,good color performance,and high-resolution micro-LED microdisplays in future metaverse applications.

From a perspective of chinese medicine （CM）, persons with unregulated ＂unhealthy＂ body constitution （BC） will further develop chronic diseases, such as diabetes mellitus （DM）. Conventional dietary therapy with nutrition component has its limitations in the regulation of ＂unhealthy＂ BC. However, empirical evidence supports that ＂unhealthy＂ BC can be regulated with food natures and flavors from a perspective of CM. Presentations of ＂unhealthy＂ BC types, such as Yin-deficiency, Yang-deficiency and Yin-Yangdeficiency were found in persons with DM. It would be necessary to regulate the ＂unhealthy＂ BC presentations with integration of conventional dietary therapy and chinese food therapy. The ultimate goal is to either stabilize glycaemic control or prevent the development of other chronic diseases leading to reduction of disease burden, such as disease-related poor quality of life, stress of healthcare professionals and the rising of healthcare cost.

The quality of the included studies was assessed by QUADAS-2 and REMARK.
