Pla.t ca. ta.e wa.er from soil up to severa. metres high. However, the mecha.ism of how wa.er rises a.a.nst gra.ity is still controversia.ly discussed despite a.few mecha.isms ha.e been proposed. a.so, there still la.ks of a.critica. tra.sporta.ion model beca.se of the diversity a.d complex xylem structure of pla.ts. This pa.er ma.nly focuses on the wa.er tra.sport process within xylem a.d a.ma.hema.ica. model is presented. With a.simplified micro cha.nel from xylem structure a.d the ca.cula.ion using the model of wa.er migra.ion in xylem, this pa.er identified the rela.ionship between va.ious forces a.d wa.er migra.ion velocity. The velocity of wa.er migra.ion within the pla.t stem is considered a. deta.l a. possible using a.l ma.or forces involved, a.d a.full ma.hmetica. model is proposed to ca.cula.e a.d predict the velocity of wa.er migra.ion in pla.ts. Using deta.ls of a.specific pla.t, the velocity of wa.er migra.ion in the pla.t ca. be ca.cula.ed, a.d then compa.ed to the experimenta. result from Ma.netic Resona.ce Ima.ing （MRI）. The two results ma.ch perfectly to ea.h other, indica.ing the a.cura.y of the ma.hema.ica. model, thus the ma.hema.ica. model should ha.e brighter furore in further a.plica.ions.

a.tired light/contra.ting universe (TLCU) model is shown to be a. excellent fit to the redshift/dista.ce modulus da.a.for the 580 supernova. 1a.in the Union2.1 compila.ion. The da.a.revea. tha. the Milky Wa. is in a.sta.ic region with a.ra.ius of a.out 450 Mpc. Beyond the sta.ic region the universe is contra.ting with a.spa.e velocity which is linea.ly proportiona. to dista.ce over the whole ra.ge of the da.a.(K=−7.6±2.3km⋅s−1⋅Mpc−1). The other consta.t of the model is the Hubble consta.t for which a.va.ue of H=69.51±0.86 km⋅s−1⋅Mpc−1 is obta.ned. The fit of the TLCU model to the Union2.1 da.a.is a. lea.t a. good a. the fit of the two consta.t ΛCDM model to the sa.e da.a. a.formula.for photon tra.el dista.ce is derived a.d a. experiment for the possible detection of the tired light process is proposed.
