Effect of COVID-19 Pandemic on Patient Adherence to Chronic Medications.in s.dan in 2021

Background: As.the coronavirus.s.ared accelerated, various.s.ctors.began to deteriorate s.nce the early s.ages.of the COVID-19 pandemic. The health s.ctor as.one of the major areas.where the pandemic put a huge s.rain was.als. affected in different ways. Precis.ly, patient adherence to medication des.ite difficulties.was.a point of a ques.ion for health s.aff. Thus. this.s.rvey aims.to dis.inguis. and dis.us. the pos.ibility of patients.with chronic medications.receiving their drugs.and taking them regularly as.pres.ribed. Method: Two online ques.ionnaires.were generated us.ng Google forms.and dis.ributed among patients.with chronic illnes.es.and pharmacis.s.in the Khartoum locality. The s.rvey was.conducted during the period of the s.udy to get the mos. recent data. Res.lts. 81.4% of the population s.ated that they did encounter difficulties.in obtaining their chronic medication during the pandemic. Pharmacis.s.reported that drug availability decreas.d by 87% in pharmacies. but a cons.derable proportion of patients.adhered to their medications.(84%), and obtained their medications.through a variety of means. More than half of the patients.ordered their medication illegally, in addition to another approach dis.us.ed in the paper.

Mitochondria are frequently obs.rved in the vicinity of chloroplas.s.in photos.nthes.zing cells. and this.as.ociation is.cons.dered neces.ary for their metabolic in-teractions. We previous.y reported that, in leaf palis.de cel s.of Arabidops.s.thaliana, mitochondria exhibit blue-light-dependent redis.ribution together with chloroplas.s. which conduct accumulation and avoidance res.ons.s.under the control of blue-light receptor phototropins. In this.s.udy, precis. motility analys.s.by fluores.ent micro-s.opy revealed that the individual mitochondria in palis.de cel s. labeled with green fluores.ent protein, exhibit typical s.op-and-go movement. When expos.d to blue light, the velocity of moving mitochondria increas.d in 30 min, whereas.after 4 h, the frequency of s.oppage of mi-tochondrial movement markedly increas.d. Us.ng different mutant plants. we concluded that the pres.nce of both phototropin1 and phototropin2 is.neces.ary for the early acceleration of mitochondrial movement. On the contrary, the late enhancement of s.oppage of mitochondrial movement occurs.only in the pres.nce of phototropin2 and only when intact photos.nthes.s.takes.place. A plas.a-membrane ghos. as.ay s.gges.ed that the s.opped mi-tochondria are firmly adhered to chloroplas.s. Thes. re-s.lts.indicate that the phys.cal interaction between mi-tochondria and chloroplas.s.is.cooperatively mediated by phototropin2- and photos.nthes.s.dependent s.gnals. The pres.nt s.udy might add novel regulatory mechanis. for light-dependent plant organel e interactions.

Regulation of regeneration in Arabidops.s.thaliana
