Depending on advanced technological developments in energy production the low quality coals needed the most economical technologies and even in order to make it possible to produce coal-derived products. Compliance with environmental norms of coal pyrolysis or gasification of various type of coals, feasible combustion systems and energy production facilities are needed in today's modern technology, also enable the production of liquid and gaseous coal fuels. However, raw materials and chemical nature of them requires a variety of adaptation methods. This study examined the high sulfur and ash types of Kütahya, Denizli, Aydin, Soma lignite, Sirnak asphaltite and lignite. The representative samples were taken from local areas of the lignites. Fundamentally, the conditions regarding better desulfurization way, the high quality pyrolysis lignite oil production, high value light oil, coal tar and gas products were determined at the goal of high fuel producing yield.

The unsteadyl three-dimensional full Navier-Stokes equations are solved using a Beam-Warming implicit algorithm in this paper. Computations of the flow over a 76°sweep delta wing at 36.5° angle of attack is presented. The sectional streamlines are depicted and the evolution of the instantaneous crossflow topology of the leading-edge vortex is analyzed. it is found that, along the axis, the topology of the primary vortex alters several times starting from stable focus near the apex to unstable focus, and lasts back to stable focus near wake edge; The stable limit cycle and unstable lint cycle are shown in this evolution. These various altering topologies stem from the stretching and compression of the vortex core.

Goblet cell carcinoid is an uncommon primary tumor of the vermiform appendix, characterized by dual endocrine and glandular differentiation. Whether goblet cell carcinoid represents a morphological variant of appendiceal classical carcinoid or a mucin-producing adenocarcinoma is a matter of conjecture. Rare cases of goblet cell carcinoid with other concomitant appendiceal epithelial neoplasms have been documented. in this report, we describe a rare case of combined appendiceal goblet cell carcinoid and mucinous cystadenoma, and discuss the possible histopathogenesis of this combination.

Barium hexaferrites BaFe11.6Mox Zn0.4-x o19（x=0.1,0.2,0.4）were prepared by precipitation of the precursors using wet chemical mixture method and then sintering the dried powders at 1100℃.The properties of the prepared samples were investigated using X-ray difraction（XRD）,scanning electron microscopy（SEM）,vibrating sample magnetometer,and Mssbauer *** patterns revealed that all prepared samples had BaFe12o19hexaferrite structure as a majority *** images demonstated that the samples consisted mainly of hexagonal platelet-like grains with diameters ranging from 100 to 500 nm.Mssbauer spectra revealed that Zn2＋ions occupy 4f1 sites leading to the splitting of the 12k *** Mo6＋ions occupy 2b sites while Mo4＋ prefer 4f1 and 12k *** the sample with x=0.4,Mo6＋and Mo4＋ ions were found to have preference for 2b and 12k sites,respectively,and to induce the development of Fe2＋ions in the hexaferrite,leading to noticeable changes in the magnetic properties of the *** observed magnetic properties were found to be consistent with the preferential site occupation of metal ions,and the hyperfine fields derived from Mssbauer spectra of these samples.

The applicability of the complete orthonormal sets of ψ^a-exponential-type orbitals introduced by one of the authors to the study of electronic structure of one electron diatomic molecules is demonstrated using single-zeta approximation. As an example of application, tile calculations have been performed for o, 7r and 5 states of one electron homo- and hetero-nucleac diatomic molecules H＋2 and Hell2＋, respectively. The calculation results are presented. The values for these molecules obtained in eight-digit accuracy ace close to the results of solution presented in literature.

For earthquake-prone countries of the world, it is crucial to develop countermeasures and to share experiences in seismic hazard mitigation. The measures for seismic hazard mitigation are related to many factors, e.g., social, economic, and political. Research focused on modern science and technology paves the way for a better understanding of the earthquake phenomenon and helps to plan against its effects in seismically active *** this paper, we consider some of the events that occurred in earthquake-prone countries, both developing and developed, which caused devastation to the society and economy. These are mainly major events that have affected a considerable portion of the gross domestic product of these *** to mitigate seismic hazard are stressed and suggested. in addition, experiences in seismic hazard mitigation in Uganda and the rest of the world are discussed in general terms. Role of serotonin in development of esophageal and gastric fundal varices

AiM:To determine the effect of free serotonin concentrations in plasma on development of esophageal and gastric fundal varices. METHoDS:This prospective study included 33 patients with liver cirrhosis and 24 healthy controls. Ultrasonography and measurement of serotonin concentration in plasma were carried out in both groups of subjects. The upper fiber panendoscopy was performed only in patients with liver cirrhosis. RESULTS:The mean plasma free serotonin levels were much higher in liver cirrhosis patients than in healthy controls (219.0 ± 24.2 nmol/L vs 65.4 ± 18.7 nmol/L,P o significant correlation be-tween serotonin concentration in plasma and the size of the esophageal varices according to Spearman coefficient of correlation (rs =-0.217,P > 0.05). However,the correlation of plasma serotonin concentration and gastric fundal varices was highly significant (rs =-0.601,P oNCLUSioN:Free serotonin is significant in pathogenesis of portal hypertension especially in development of fundal varices,indicating the clinical value of serotonergic receptor blockers in these patients.

Spinal Decompression with 360°instrumented Fusion for Unstable Tuberculous Quadriplegia in a Young Adult—A Case Report

Background: Tuberculosis of the spine is common in Nigeria. it commonly causes neurological deficit especially when the lesions are higher up in the spine. objective: To report a case of a young man who had C4 quadriplegia from tuberculous destruction of C3 to C5 vertebral bodies and their intervening discs, aretropharyngeal prevertebral abscess and associated segmental kyphosis. He had received prior antituberculous therapy with no improvement. Results: He recovered completely neurologically when he had adequate decompression and 360°;instrumented fusiondone in a 3-stage surgery that involved drainage and debridement of the retropharyngeal prevertebral abscess, anterior corpectomy of C3 and C4 with fusion using a titanium mesh cage, and posterior fusion of C3 to C6 using titanium rods and lateral mass screws. Surgical treatment was supported with skull traction and antituberculous therapy. Conclusion: This case shows that complete neurologic recovery is feasible in spinal quadriplegia that fails to respond to antituber-culous therapy when adequate decompression and fusion are done.
