A New Hybrid model for Segmentation of the Skin Lesion Based on Residual Attention U-Net

Skin segmentation participates significantly in various biomedical applications,such as skin cancer identification and skin lesion *** paper presents a novel framework for segmenting the *** framework contains two main stages:The first stage is for removing different types of noises from the dermoscopic images,such as hair,speckle,and impulse noise,and the second stage is for segmentation of the dermoscopic images using an attention residual U-shaped Network(U-Net).The framework uses variational Autoencoders(VAEs)for removing the hair noises,the Generative Adversarial Denoising Network(DGAN-Net),the Denoising U-shaped U-Net(D-U-NET),and Batch Renormalization U-Net(Br-U-NET)for remov-ing the speckle noise,and the Laplacian Vector median Filter(mLVmF)for removing the impulse *** the second main stage,the residual attention u-net was used for *** framework achieves(35.11,31.26,27.01,and 26.16),(36.34,33.23,31.32,and 28.65),and(36.33,32.21,28.54,and 27.11)for removing hair,speckle,and impulse noise,respectively,based on Peak Signal Noise Ratio(PSNR)at the level of(0.1,0.25,0.5,and 0.75)of *** framework also achieves an accuracy of nearly 94.26 in the dice score in the process of segmentation before removing noise and 95.22 after removing different types of *** experiments have shown the efficiency of the used model in removing noise according to the structural similarity index measure(SSim)and PSNR and in the segmentation process as well.

in this new information era,the transfer of data and information has become a very important *** data must be kept secured from unauthorized persons using *** science of cryptography depends not only on complex mathematical models but also on encryption *** acid encryption is a promising model for data *** this paper,we propose an amino acid encryption model with two encryption *** first key is generated randomly using the genetic *** second key is called the protein key which is generated from converting DNA to a protein ***,the protein message and the first key are used in the modified Playfair matrix to generate the cypher *** experimental results show that the proposed model survives against known attacks such as the Brute-force attack and the Ciphertext-only *** addition,the proposed model has been tested over different types of characters including white spaces and special characters,as all the data is encoded to 8-bit *** performance of the proposed model is compared with other models using encryption time and decryption *** model also balances all three principles in the CiA triad.

The CuinGeSe_4 thin film was deposited onto n-type single crystal silicon wafers by the electron beam deposition technique. The Au/CuinGeSe_4/n-Si/Al heterojunction device has been fabricated. The structure of the CuinGeSe_4 thin film was characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscope(SEm), and energy dispersive X-ray analysis(EDX). The dark current-voltage characteristics of the Au/CuinGeSe_4/n-Si/Al heterojunction diode have been studied at a temperature range of 303-383 K. Also, the photovoltaic properties were examined at different illumination intensities. The capacitance-voltage characteristics of the CuinGeSe_4/n-Si heterojunction were studied at different temperatures in the dark.

Objective:To evaluate the hazardous effects of fried potato chips upon the retina of two developmental stages of the albino rats aged 7 and 14 days from ***:Pregnant rats were arranged into two groups:control pregnant rats and consequently their delivered newborns until reaching 7 and 14 days old from parturition and fried potato chips group in which pregnant rats at the 6th day of gestation maintained on diet formed of fried potato chips supplied from the market mixed with standard diet at a concentration of 50%per each till 7 and 14 *** fold integrated approaches were adopted,namely,histological,ultrastructural and proteomic ***:Histological examination of the retina of the experimental offsprings revealed many histopathological changes,including massive degeneration,vacuolization and cell loss in the ganglion cell layer,as well as general reduction in retinal *** the ultrastructural level,the retina of experimental offsprings exhibited number of deformities,including ill differentiated and degenerated nuclear layer,malformed and vacuolated pigment epithelium with vesiculated and fragmented rough endoplasmic reticulum,degenerated outer segment of photoreceptors,as well as swollen choriocapillaris and loss of neuronal *** analysis of retina of the two experimental developmental stages showed variations in the expressed proteins as a result of intoxication which illustrated the adverse toxic effects of fried potato chips upon the ***:it can be concluded that the effect of fried potato chips on the development of retina in rats may be due to the presence of acrylamide or its metabolite.

The present work deals with the detailed geology,mineralogy,geochemistry,and spectrometric prospection of the felsic volcanic rocks at the Eastern Desert,Egypt of the Arabian-Nubian *** volcanic rocks are an essential source for rare earth elements(REEs)and uranium occurrences in this *** are compositionally uniform with tholeiitic to calc-alkaline affinities,peraluminous and belong to the series of rhyolite with high-K *** exhibit more enrichment in high field strength elements(HFSE,***,Ta,Nd,Th,and U)and large-ion lithophile elements(LiLE,*** and Rb)compared to the country rocks of the studied area,with REE ranging from 188.20 to 442.70 ppm and strong depletion in Ti,Sr,P with deep negative Eu *** felsic volcanic rocks were mostly generated from the partial melting of quartz-amphibolite facies accreted during the *** oddities of Zr-U-Th for the felsic volcanic rocks determine the involvement of crustal *** volcanic rocks are found in A-type suites of magma and represent highly fractionated rocks derived from rhyolitic magma,with insignificant interaction with continental crust in the low-pressure environment and during fractional *** volcanic rocks have higher values of radioactivity in which eU range from 0.5 to 121 ppm and eTh from 1.0 to 415.10 *** high values of eU and eTh can be ascribed to the mineralization of uranium and the presence of accessory minerals of radiogenic nature such as uranophane,uranothorite,zircon,and *** is considered as the mineral with most enriched uranium contents in the studied felsic volcanic rocks in which(UO2=87.30 wt%).Also,they are enriched with REE-bearing accessory minerals comprising allanite,titanite,and *** geological investigations of the felsic volcanic rocks in the studied areas are inappropriate to clear the feasible economic potentialities of rare earth elements and U occurrences;itemized and invaluable

Validation of prognostic indices in Egyptian Budd-Chiari syndrome patients: A single-center study

Aim To compare predictive ability of Budd-Chiari syndrome(BCS) prognostic indices(Pis) for one-year survival and Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TiPS) *** This retrospective study enrolled 194 Egyptian patients with primary BCS who presented to the BuddChiari Study Group of Ain Shams University Hospital. Calculation of the available Pis was performed using Child-Pugh and model for end-stage liver disease scores, BCS-specific Pis(Clichy, New Clichy andRotterdam) for all patients, and BCS-TiPS Pi only for patients who underwent TiPS. The overall one-year survival rate and the one-year shunt patency rate for TiPS were *** The overall one-year survival rate was 69.6%, and the New Clichy Pi revealed the best validity for its prediction at a cut-off value of 3.75, with sensitivity and specificity of 78% and 73.3%, respectively [area under receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC) = 0.806]. The one-year survival rate post-TiPS was 89.7%, and the BCS-TiPS score demonstrated validity for its prediction at a cut-off value of 3.92(sensitivity and specificity were 71.4% and 64.5%, respectively)(AUC = 0.715). Logistic regression analysis revealed that the New Clichy Pi(P = 0.030), high serum total bilirubin(P = 0.047) and low albumin(P independent factors for predicting mortality within one year. The one-year shunt patency rate in TiPS was 80.2%, and none of the Pis exhibited significant validity for its prediction. CONCLUSiON The New Clichy score could independently predict the one-year survival in Egyptian BCS patients.

Objective:To evaluate the histochemical alterations in DNA and total carbohydrates,in colorectal cancer ***:This study was carried out on 48 colorectal carcinoma and 10 adenoma *** and Eosin staining was carried out for histopathological examination to confirm the diagnosis and to evaluate the histopathological characteristics of *** grade and pathologic stage was assessed according to TNm staging *** was also assessed according to original Dukes’staging *** was demonstrated by Feulgen method and carbohydrates were demonstrated by periodic acid Schiff’s ***:Adenoma cases showed that the cells lining the glands of the polyp have more crowded,irregular and darker nuclei(hyperchromatic),anisonucleosis,abnormal mitotic figures with prominent nucleoli and variability in the size and shape of *** carcinoma cases showed a condensation and reduction in the size of a cell nucleus associated with hyperchromatosis,pyknotic nuclei,abnormal mitotic figures,anisonucleosis,irregular nuclear membrane and inequality in the size of the nuclei(Pleomorphosis).There was a statistical significant differences between adenoma and carcinoma regarding number of mitotic cells(P=0.03)that was in favour of malignant *** and colorectal carcinoma cases showed periodic acid Schiff’s reactivity with different ***:These histochemical alterations can be so characteristic of a given tumor type and stage that they are used in cancer diagnosis and might also be related to the altered functional properties of cancer cells.

This work, contains some new compounds from benzimidazole derivatives, which are synthesized by condensation of Orthophenylene diamine and Carbon disulfide resulting in 2-Mercapto-benzimidazole which is treated by alcoholic potassium hydroxide forming potassium salt of 2-mercaptobenzimidazole which reacts with different substances (alkyl chloroacetates, chloroacetic chloride, alkyl halides) also the ethoxy carbonyl methyl thiobenzimidazole reacts with different amines. In addition to chloromethyl benzimidazole which resulted from the reaction between orthophenylene diamine and chloroacetic acid, which reacted with different amines. The synthesized compound tested as analgesics and anticancer activity the new derivatives revealed moderate, strong and very strong analgesics and moderate and strong anticancer activityily:Verdana;">.

Se75Te17Ge8 thin film was processed on glass substrates by a pulsed laser deposition technique. The ceramic target used for the deposition was prepared by a solid state sintering method in a vacuum sealed silica tube. The structural characterization was investigated by X-ray diffraction coupled with energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometry. The optical parameters were determined from the transmittance and reflectance spectra of the prepared film. The Wemple and Di Domenico models both were appropriate to describe the experimental results. The optical absorption coefficient was analyzed to identify the type of the optical transition and determine the corresponding energy values.
