Boosting the catalytic activity toward oxygen reduction via a heterostructure of porous iron oxide-decorated 2D NiO/NG nanosheets

As a noble metal substitute,two-dimensional(2D)hierarchical nano-frame structures have attracted great interest as candidate catalysts due to their remarkable advantages-high intrinsic activity,high electron mobility,and straightforward surface ***,they may replace Pt-based catalysts in oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)***,a simple method is developed to design hierarchical nano-frame structures assembled via 2D NiO and N-doped graphene(NG)*** procedure can yield nanostructures that satisfy the criteria correlated with improved electrocatalytic performance,such as large surface area,numerous undercoordinated atoms,and high defect ***,porous NG nanosheet architectures,featuring NiO nanosheets densely coordinated with accessible holey Fe_(2)O_(3) moieties,can enhance mesoporosity and balance *** improvements can facilitate charge transport and expose formerly inaccessible reaction sites,maximizing active site density *** functional theory(DFt)calculations reveal favored O_(2) adsorption and dissociation on Fe_(2)O_(3) hybrid structures when supported by 2D NiO and NG nanomaterials,given 2D materials donated charge to Fe_(2)O_(3) active *** systematic studies reveal that synergistic contributions are responsible for enriching the catalytic activity of Fe_(2)O_(3)@NiO/NG in alkaline media-encompassing internal voids and pores,unique hierarchical support structures,and concentrated N-dopant and bimetallic atomic ***,this work expands the toolbox for designing and synthesizing highly efficient 2D/2D shelled functional nanomaterials with transition metals,endeavoring to benefit energy conversion and related ORR applications.

Autoimmune diseases(AiD)encompass a diverse array of conditions characterized by immune system dysregulation,resulting in aberrant responses of B cells and t cells against the body’s own healthy *** extracellular vesicles(PEVs)are nanoscale particles enclosed by phospholipid bilayers,secreted by plant cells,which facilitate intercellular communication by transporting various bioactive *** to their nanoscale structure,safety,abundant sources,low immunogenicity,high yield,biocompatibility,and effective targeting of the colon and liver,PEVs are regarded as a promising platform for the treatment of *** review provides a comprehensive summary of PEV biogenesis,physicochemical and biological properties,internalization mechanisms,isolation methods,and their applications in various diseases,with a specific focus on their potential roles in ***,we propose engineering approaches and administration methods for ***,we present an overview of the advantages and challenges associated with utilizing PEVs for the treatment of *** gaining a comprehensive understanding of PEVs,we anticipate the development of innovative therapeutic strategies for *** and engineered PEVs hold substantial promise as a valuable resource for innovative technologies in AiD treatment.

A novel X-shaped variable stiffness vibration isolator(X-VSVi)is *** Runge-Kutta method,harmonic balance method,and wavelet transform spectra are introduced to evaluate the performance of the X-VSVi under various *** layer number,the installation angle of the X-shaped structure,the stiffness,and the active control parameters are systematically *** addition,a prototype of the X-VSVi is manufactured,and vibration tests are carried *** results show that the proposed X-VSVi has a superior adaptability to that of a traditional X-shaped mechanism,and shows excellent vibration isolation performance in response to different amplitudes and forms of ***,the vibration isolation efficiency of the device can be improved by appropriate adjustment of parameters.

track-Before-Detect(tBD) is an efficient method to detect dim targets for radars. Conventional tBD usually follows an approximate motion model of the target, which may cause an inaccurate integration of the target energy. A tBD technique on basis of pseudo-spectrum in mixed coordinates adopting an accurate motion model for bistatic radar system is developed in this *** predicted position in bistatic polar plane is derived according to a nonlinear function that exactly describes the constant Cartesian velocity motion. then around the predicted position, a pseudo-spectrum is formulated and its samples are accumulated to the integration frame for energy integration. the evolution of the state and the procedure of accumulation of the target energy are derived elaborately. the superior performance of the proposed method is demonstrated by some simulations.

the precise movement speed regulation is a key factor to improve the control effect and efficiency of the cyborg ***,the current stimulation techniques cannot realize the graded control of the *** this study,we achieved the multi-level speed regulation of cyborg rats in the large open field and treadmill by specifically targeting the Cuneiform Nucleus(CnF)of the Mesencephalic Locomotor Region(MLR).Detailed,we measured the influence of each stimulation parameter on the speed control process which included the real-time speed,accelerated speed,response time,and acceleration *** concluded that the pulse period and the pulse width were the main determinants influencing the accelerated speed of cyborg *** the amplitude of stimulation was found to affect the response time exhibited by the cyborg *** study provides valuable insights into the regulation of rat locomotion speed and highlights the potential for utilizing this approach in various experimental settings.

the medium-temperature dependence of jet transport coefficient in high-energy nucleus-nucleus collisions

the medium-temperature t dependence of the jet transport coefficient̂q was studied via the nuclear modification factor RAA(p_(t))and elliptical flow parameter v_(2)(p_(t))for large transverse momentum p_(t) hadrons in high-energy nucleus-nucleus *** a next-to-leading-order perturbative QCD parton model for hard scatterings with modified fragmentation functions due to jet quenching controlled by q,we check the suppression and azimuthal anisotropy for large p_(t) hadrons,and extract q by global fits to RAA(pt)and v_(2)(pt)data in A+A collisions at RHiC and LHC,*** numerical results from the best fits show that q∕t^(3) goes down with local medium-temperature t in the parton jet *** with the case of a constant q∕t^(3),the going-down t dependence of q∕t^(3) makes a hard parton jet to lose more energy near t_(c) and therefore strengthens the azimuthal anisotropy for large pt *** a result,v_(2)(p_(t))for large pt hadrons was enhanced by approximately 10%to better fit the data at RHiC/*** the first-order phase transition from QGP to the hadron phase and the additional energy loss in the hadron phase,v_(2)(p_(t))is again enhanced by 5-10%at RHiC/LHC.

Wound healing and tissue repair are recognized as basic human health problems *** to accelerate the reparative process are focused on developing functional wound ***,we present novel Janus textiles with anisotropic wettability from hierarchical microfluidic spinning for wound *** hydrophilic hydrogel microfibers from microfluidics are woven into textiles for freeze-drying treatment,followed by the deposition of electrostatic spinning nanofibers composed of hydrophobic polylactic acid(PLA)and silver *** electrospun nanofiber layer can be well coupled with the hydrogel microfiber layer to generate Janus textiles with anisotropic wettability due to the roughness of the hydrogel textile surface and the incomplete evaporation of PLA solution when reaching the *** wound treatment with the hydrophobic PLA side contacting the wound surface,the wound exudate can be pumped from the hydrophobic to the hydrophilic side based on the wettability differential derived drainage *** this process,the hydrophobic side of the Janus textile can prevent excess fluid from infiltrating the wound again,preventing excessive moisture and preserving the breathability of the *** addition,the silver nanoparticles contained in the hydrophobic nanofibers could impart the textiles with good antibacterial effect,which further promote the wound healing *** features indicate that the described Janus fiber textile has great application potential in the field of wound treatment.

the local topological properties of black hole systems can be expressed through winding numbers as *** date,AdS black hole thermodynamics are often depicted by the dual parameters of(t,S),(P,V),(Φ,Q) in the extended phase space,while there have been several studies on the black hole thermodynamics in the restricted phase *** this paper,we analyze the topological properties of charged AdS black holes in the restricted phase space under the higher-dimension and higher-order curvature gravity *** results show that the topological number of the charged black hole in the same canonical ensembles is a constant and is independent of the concrete dual thermodynamical ***,the topological number in the grand canonical ensemble is different from that in the canonical ensemble for the same black hole ***,these results are independent of dimension d and highe st order k of the Lanczos-Lovelock densities.

Reactor field reconstruction from sparse and movable sensors using Voronoi tessellation-assisted convolutional neural networks

the aging of operational reactors leads to increased mechanical vibrations in the reactor *** vibration of the incore sensors near their nominal locations is a new problem for neutronic field *** field-reconstruction methods fail to handle spatially moving *** this study,we propose a Voronoi tessellation technique in combination with convolutional neural networks to handle this *** from movable in-core sensors were projected onto the same global field structure using Voronoi tessellation,holding the magnitude and location information of the *** convolutional neural networks were used to learn maps from observations to the global *** proposed method reconstructed multi-physics fields(including fast flux,thermal flux,and power rate)using observations from a single field(such as thermal flux).Numerical tests based on the iAEA benchmark demonstrated the potential of the proposed method in practical engineering applications,particularly within an amplitude of 5 cm around the nominal locations,which led to average relative errors below 5% and 10% in the L_(2) and L_(∞)norms,respectively.

A composite was created by incorporating the quantum dot-enhanced SiO_(2)nanoparticles within this *** on this composite,a temperature-controlled fluorescent probe for DCP was developed.A meticulous examination of this probe revealed its attributes and factors affecting its *** using temperature modulation,the probe was adept at detecting DCP concentrations ranging between 1.0×10^(-6)and 9.0×10^(-6)mol/*** a probe offers remarkable selectivity,repeatability,and robust stability,so that the detection of DCP can be carried out at different temperatures,and a fast,reliable,sensitive and low-cost intelligent detection method is realized.
