A Note on an Order Level inventory Model with Varying Two-Phased Demand and Time-Proportional Deterioration

The main purpose of this paper is to generalize the effect of two-phased demand and variable deterioration within the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) framework. The rate of deterioration is a linear function of time. The two-phased demand function states the constant function for a certain period and the quadratic function of time for the rest part of the cycle time. No shortages as well as partial backlogging are allowed to occur. The mathematical expressions are derived for determining the optimal cycle time, order quantity and total cost function. An easy-to-use working procedure is provided to calculate the above quantities. A couple of numerical examples are cited to explain the theoretical results and sensitivity analysis of some selected examples is carried out.

Till now,several novel metaheuristic algorithms are proposed for global *** only specific algorithms have become popular or attracted researchers,who are efficient in solving global optimization problems as well as real-world application *** Social Group Optimization(SGO)algorithm is a new metaheuristic bioinspired algorithm inspired by human social behavior that attracted researchers due to its simplicity and problem-solving *** this study,to deal with the problems of low accuracy and local convergence in SGO,the chaos theory is introduced into the evolutionary process of *** chaotic mapping has certainty,ergodicity,and stochastic property,by replacing the constant value of the self-introspection parameter with chaotic maps,the proposed chaotic social group optimization algorithm increases its convergence rate and resulting *** proposal chaotic SGO is validated through 13 benchmark functions and after that 9 structural engineering design problems have been *** simulated results have been noticed as competent with that of state-of-art algorithms regarding convergence quality and accuracy,which certifies that improved SGO with chaos is valid and feasible.

About 23%of the surface area and 44%of the volume of all the lakes are occupied by saline lakes in the ***,agricultural diversion,illegal encroachment,pollution,and invasive species could cause these lakes to dry up completely or partially by *** saltpan encroachment is causing Sambhar,india’s largest saline lake,to shrink by 4.23%every *** study aims to characterize the soil parameters where halophytes are growing.A literature survey was conducted for halophytes and soil *** study area was divided into four zones for stratified random *** sampling was conducted in February *** soil indicators for halophyte selected were pH,electrical conductivity,moisture,salinity,organic carbon,and organic *** obtained results were interpolated in the geospatial platform for soil characteristic *** is found that no research is conducted on halophytes of the *** on soil are also inconsistent and only six common parameters could be *** show that the pH ranged 9.37-7.66,electrical conductivity was 16.1-0.38,moisture 23.37%-1.2%,organic carbon 3.29%-0.15%,organic matter 5.6%-0.2%,and salinity 8.86%-0.72%.Though these results show improved condition as compared to last few years,in long term,the lake is *** the UN Decade of Ecosystem Restoration(2021-2030),if these causes are not addressed,the ecosystem may completely dry up.

Malware attacks on the Android platform are rapidly increasing due to the high consumer adoption of Android *** technologies have motivated cyber-criminals to actively create and disseminate a wide range of malware on Android *** researchers have conducted numerous studies on the detection of Android malware,but the majority of the works are based on the detection of generic Android *** detection based on malware categories will provide more insights about the malicious patterns of the ***,this paper presents a detection solution for different Android malware categories,including adware,banking,SMS malware,and *** this paper,a novel Huffman encoding-based feature vector generation technique is *** experiments have proved that this novel approach significantly improves the efficiency of the detection *** method makes use of system call frequencies as features to extract malware’s dynamic behavior *** proposed model was evaluated using machine learning and deep learning *** results show that the proposed model with the Random Forest classifier outperforms some existing methodologies with a detection accuracy of 98.70%.

Analyzing agricultural sustainability is essential for designing and assessing rural development ***,accurately measuring agricultural sustainability is complicated since it involves so many different *** study provides a new suite of quantitative indicators for assessing agricultural sustainability at regional and district levels,involving environmental sustainability,social security,and economic *** the PressureState-Response(PSR)model and indicator approach,this study creates a composite agricultural sustainability index for the 14 mainstream agro-climatic regions of *** results of this study show that the Trans-Gengatic Plain Region(TGPR)ranks first in agricultural sustainability among india's 14 mainstream agro-climatic regions,while the Eastern Himalayan Region(EHR)ranks *** livestock ownership,cropping intensity,per capita income,irrigation intensity,share of institutional credit,food grain productivity,crop diversification,awareness of minimum support price,knowledge sharing with fellow farmers,and young and working population,as well as better transportation facilities and membership of agricultural credit societies are influencing indicators responsible for higher agricultural sustainability in TGPR compared with ***,the scores of environmental sustainability indicators of EHR are quite good,its scores of social and economic security indicators are fairly low,putting it at the bottom of the rank of agricultural sustainability index among the 14 mainstream agroclimatic regions in *** demonstrates the need of understanding agricultural sustainability in relation to social and economic *** a nation as diverse and complicated as india,it is the social structure that determines the health of the economy and *** but not least,the sustainability assessment methodology may be used in a variety of india's agro-climatic regions.

in this paper,an advanced and optimized Light Gradient Boosting Machine(LGBM)technique is proposed to identify the intrusive activities in the internet of Things(ioT)*** followings are the major contributions:i)An optimized LGBM model has been developed for the identification of malicious ioT activities in the ioT network;ii)An efficient evolutionary optimization approach has been adopted for finding the optimal set of hyper-parameters of LGBM for the projected ***,a Genetic Algorithm(GA)with k-way tournament selection and uniform crossover operation is used for efficient exploration of hyper-parameter search space;iii)Finally,the performance of the proposed model is evaluated using state-of-the-art ensemble learning and machine learning-based model to achieve overall generalized performance and *** outcomes reveal that the proposed approach is superior to other considered methods and proves to be a robust approach to intrusion detection in an ioT environment.

Outsourcing the k-Nearest Neighbor(kNN)classifier to the cloud is useful,yet it will lead to serious privacy leakage due to sensitive outsourced data and *** this paper,we design,implement and evaluate a new system employing an outsourced privacy-preserving kNN Classifier Model based on Multi-Key Homomorphic Encryption(kNNCM-MKHE).We firstly propose a security protocol based on Multi-key Brakerski-Gentry-Vaikuntanathan(BGV)for collaborative evaluation of the kNN classifier provided by multiple model *** the operations of kNN and extract basic operations,such as addition,multiplication,and *** supports the computation of encrypted data with different public *** the same time,we further design a new scheme that outsources evaluation works to a third-party evaluator who should not have access to the models and *** the evaluation process,each model owner encrypts the model and uploads the encrypted models to the *** receiving encrypted the kNN classifier and the user’s inputs,the evaluator calculated the aggregated *** evaluator will perform a secure computing protocol to aggregate the number of each class ***,it sends the class labels with their associated counts to the *** model owner and user encrypt the result *** information will be disclosed to the *** experimental results show that our new system can securely allow multiple model owners to delegate the evaluation of kNN classifier.

While machine learning(ML)in experimental research has demonstrated impressive predictive capabilities,extracting fungible knowledge representations from experimental data remains an elusive *** this manuscript,we use ML to infer the underlying differential equation(DE)from experimental data of degrading organic-inorganic methylammonium lead iodide(MAPi)perovskite thin films under environmental stressors(elevated temperature,humidity,and light).Using a sparse regression algorithm,we find that the underlying DE governing MAPi degradation across a broad temperature range of 35 to 85℃is described minimally by a second-order *** DE corresponds to the Verhulst logistic function,which describes reaction kinetics analogous to self-propagating *** examine the robustness of our conclusions to experimental variance and Gaussian noise and describe the experimental limits within which this methodology can be *** study highlights the promise and challenges associated with ML-aided scientific discovery by demonstrating its application in experimental chemical and materials systems.
