The magnetohydrodynamics （MHD） convection flow and heat transfer of an incompressible viscous nanofluid past a semi-infinite vertical stretching sheet in the pres- ence of thermal stratification are examined. The partial differential equations governing the problem under consideration are transformed by a special form of the Lie symmetry group transformations, i.e., a one-parameter group of transformations into a system of ordinary differential equations which are numerically solved using the Runge-Kutta-Gill- based shooting method. it is concluded that the flow field, temperature, and nanoparticle volume fraction profiles are significantly influenced by the thermal stratification and the magnetic field.

An analysis is presented to investigate the effects of variable viscosities and thermal stratification on the MHD mixed convective heat and mass transfer of a viscous, incompressible, and electrically conducting fluid past a porous wedge in the presence of a chemical reaction. The wall of the wedge is embedded in a uniform nonDarcian porous medium in order to allow for possible fluid wall suction or injection. The governing boundary layer equations are written into a dimensionless form by similarity transformations. The transformed coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations are solved numerically with finite difference methods. Numerical calculations up to the thirdorder level of truncation are carried out for different values of dimensionless parameters. The results are presented graphically, and show that the flow field and other quantities of physical interest are significantly influenced by these parameters. The results are compared with those available in literature, and show excellent agreement.

This paper examines a steady two-dimensional flow of incompressible fluid over a vertical stretching sheet. The fluid viscosity is assumed to vary as a linear function of temperature. A scaling group of transformations is applied to the governing equa- tions. The system remains invariant due to some relations among the transformation parameters. After finding three absolute invariants, a third-order ordinary differential equation corresponding to the momentum equation and two second-order ordinary differential equations corresponding to energy and diffusion equations are derived. The equations along with the boundary conditions are solved numerically. it is found that the decrease in the temperature-dependent fluid viscosity makes the velocity decrease with the increasing distance of the stretching sheet. At a particular point of the sheet, the fluid velocity decreases but the temperature increases with the decreasing viscosity. The impact of the thermophoresis particle deposition plays an important role in the concentration boundary layer. The obtained results are presented graphically and discussed.

This work is concerned with Magnetohydrodynamic viscous flow due to a shrinking sheet in the presence of suction. The cases of two dimensional and axisymmetric shrinking are discussed. The governing boundary layer equations are written into a dimensionless form by similarity transformations. The transformed coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations are numerically solved by using an advanced numeric technique. Favorability comparisons with previously published work are presented. Numerical results for the dimensionless velocity, temperature and concentration profiles as well as for the skin friction, heat and mass transfer and deposition rate are obtained and displayed graphically for pertinent parameters to show interesting aspects of the solution.

BACKGROUND: To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of clinical signs combined with the tongue blade test(TBT) to detect maxillary and mandibular ***: A cross-sectional study enrolled patients with maxillary and mandibular injuries in the emergency department. Physical examination and the TBT were performed, followed by radiological imaging(facial X-ray or computed tomography [CT]). The diagnostic accuracy was calculated for individuals and a combination of clinical findings at predicting maxillary and mandibular ***: A total of 98 patients were identified, of whom 31.6% had maxillary fractures and9.2% had mandibular fractures. The combination of malocclusion, tenderness on palpation and swelling with positive TBT had 100% specificity to detect maxillary and mandibular fractures. in the absence of malocclusion, the combination of tenderness on palpation and swelling with positive TBT produced a specificity of 97.8% for maxillary fracture and a specificity of 96.2% for mandibular fracture. A clinical decision tool consisting of malocclusion, tenderness on palpation, swelling and TBT revealed a specificity of 100% and a positive predictive value of 100%.CONCLUSiON: The clinical decision tool is potentially useful to rule out mandibular fractures,thus preventing unnecessary radiation exposure.

Evaluation system of small arms firing has an important effect in the context of military domain. A partially automated evaluation system has been conducted and performed at the ground level. Automation of such system with the inclusion of artificial intelligence is a much required process. This papers puts focus on designing and developing an Ai-based small arms firing evaluation systems in the context of military environment. initially image processing techniques are used to calculate the target firing score. Additionally, firing errors during the shooting have also been detected using a machine learning algorithm. However, consistency in firing requires an abundance of practice and updated analysis of the previous results. Accuracy and precision are the basic requirements of a good shooter. To test the shooting skill of combatants, firing practices are held by the military personnel at frequent intervals that include 'grouping' and 'shoot to hit' scores. Shortage of skilled personnel and lack of personal interest leads to an inefficient evaluation of the firing standard of a firer. This paper introduces a system that will automatically be able to fetch the target data and evaluate the standard based on the fuzzy *** it will be able to predict the shooter performance based on linear regression ***, it compares with recognized patterns to analyze the individual expertise and suggest improvements based on previous values. The paper is developed on a Small Arms Firing Skill Evaluation System, which makes the whole process of firing and target evaluation faster with better accuracy. The experiment has been conducted on real-time scenarios considering the military field and shows a promising result to evaluate the system automatically.

Understanding the neural underpinning of human gait and balance is one of the most pertinent challenges for 21st-century translational neuroscience due to the profound impact that falls and mobility disturbances have on our aging *** and gait control does not happen automatically,as previously believed,but rather requires continuous involvement of central nervous *** effectively exert control over the body,the brain must integrate multiple streams of sensory information,including visual,vestibular,and somatosensory *** mechanisms which underpin the integration of these multisensory signals are the principal topic of the present *** multisensory integration theories focus on how failure of cognitive processes thought to be involved in multisensory integration leads to falls in older *** emphasis,however,has been placed on specific contributions of individual sensory modalities to multisensory integration processes and cross-modal interactions that occur between the sensory modalities in relation to gait and *** the present work,we review the contributions of somatosensory,visual,and vestibular modalities,along with their multisensory intersections to gait and balance in older adults and patients with Parkinson’s *** also review evidence of vestibular contributions to multisensory temporal binding windows,previously shown to be highly pertinent to fall risk in older ***,we relate multisensory vestibular mechanisms to potential neural substrates,both at the level of neurobiology(concerning positron emission tomography imaging)and at the level of electrophysiology(concerning electroencephalography).We hope that this integrative review,drawing influence across multiple subdisciplines of neuroscience,paves the way for novel research directions and therapeutic neuromodulatory approaches,to improve the lives of older adults and patients with neurodegenerative diseases.

Pancreatic cancer is usually associated with a poor *** is the main curative treatment but pancreatic operations are aggressive and new tools that help clinicians to predict surgical and prognostic outcomes are *** et al recently published a retrospective,single centre cohort study evaluating the impact of seven nutritional and inflammatory markers in pancreatic cancer surgical patients:The albumin-to-globulin ratio,prognostic nutritional index(PNi),systemic immune-inflammation index(Sii),neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR),platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR),nutritional risk index,and the geriatric nutritional risk index.A significant correlation was found between the PNi,Sii,NLR,and PLR and a hospital discharge of less than 15 *** a univariable analysis,PNi,Sii,NLR and PLR were significantly related to recurrence-free survival and,in a multivariable analysis PNi was associated with overall *** meta-analyses corroborate the results in terms of prognosis but individual studies are discordant on their ***,the cut-off values for these markers vary significantly between studies and there are no clinical trials comparing them to identify the most relevant *** are limitations when implementing nutritional and inflammatory biomarkers into clinical practice and further studies are needed in order to answer these questions.
