The microstructure and mechanical properties of mg-xCe-0.5Zn （x=0.5, 1.5, 2.5, molar fraction, %） alloys were examined using a nano-indentation technique. The alloys were fabricated using a vacuum induction melting method under an argon atmosphere The microstruetures of mg-xCe-0.5Zn alloys mainly consist ofa-mg and eutectic mg12Ce phase. The volume fraction and size of the eutectic mgl2Ce phase increase with increasing Ce contents. Nano-indentation test results show that the indentation hardness and elastic modulus of the eutectic mg12Ce phase are higher than those of the a-mg matrix. in addition, the mean indentation hardness and elastic modulus of the mg-xCe-0.5Zn alloys increase with the Ce addition amount increasing.

Aqueous Zn-ion batteries (AZiBs) have received considerable attention owing to their various advantages such as safety,low cost,simple battery assembly conditions,and high ionic ***,they still suffer from serious problems,including uncontrollable dendrite growth,corrosion,hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) from water decomposition,electrode passivation,and unexpected *** creation of a uniform artificial nanocrystal layer on the Zn anode surface is a promising strategy for resolving these ***,we propose the use of a perovskite CaTiO_(3)(CTO) protective layer on Zn(CTO@Zn) as a promising approach for improving the performance of *** CTO artificial layer provides an efficient pathway for Zn ion diffusion towards the Zn metal because of the high dielectric constant (εr=180) and ferroelectric characteristics that enable the alignment of dipole moments and redistribute the Zn^(2+)ions in the CTO *** avoiding the direct contact of the Zn anode with the electrolyte solution,the uneven dendrite growth,corrosion,parasitic side reactions,and HER are mitigated,while CTO retains its mechanical and chemical robustness during ***,CTO@Zn demonstrates an improved lifespan in a symmetric cell configuration compared with bare ***@Zn shows steady overpotential (~68 m V) for 1500 h at 1 mA cm^(-2)/0.5 mA h cm^(-2),excelling bare ***,when paired with the V_(2)O_(5)-C cathode,the CTO@Zn//V_(2)O_(5)-C full battery delivers 148.4 mA h g^(-1)(based on the mass of the cathode) after 300 *** study provides new insights into Zn metal anodes and the development of high-performance AZiBs.

The influence of the hole length-to-diameter ratio on film-cooling performance is numerically investigated for a cylindrical hole and laidback fan-shaped hole with an inlet *** analysis of film-cooling is conducted by solving three-dimensional Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations(RANS)with a Realizable k-ε turbulence *** and triangular grooves are applied to the inlet of cylindrical and laidback fan-shaped *** ratio of the hole length(L) to the diameter(D),i.e.,L/D,is varied between 6-12 at blowing ratios(m) of 0.5 to 1.5 for the cylindrical hole and 0.5 to 3.0 for the laidback fan-shaped *** cylindrical holes with an inlet groove,the film-cooling effectiveness decreases as the L/D increases,regardless of the blowing ***,in the case of laidback fan-shaped holes,the cooling performance with the length-to-diameter ratios shows different tendencies for each blowing *** low blowing ratios(m=1.0),relatively high effects were observed with more than 5% increases in the effectiveness at L/D=10 and 12 compared to that of L/D=***,the performance is maximized at L/D=8 under high-blowing-ratio conditions(m=3.0).The cooling efficiency is enhanced up to 148% for square grooves and 124% for triangle grooves compared to those of L/D=6.

Objective: To evaluate effects of docosahexaenoic acid-enriched phosphatidylcholine(DHAPC) on cytokine production induced by lipopolysaccharide(LPS). methods: The culture supernatants of splenocytes exposed to DHA-PC along with LPS were harvested to determine the production of Th 1(iFN-kines. Cytokines were m毭 and iL-2) and Th2 [iL-4, iL-5, iL-6 and iL-12/iL-23(p40)] cytoeasured using ELiSA. Results: Co-administration of DHAPC with LPS resulted in significantly lower iL-2 expression compared to that observed with administration of only LPS(Pment with DHA-PC and LPS significantly increased iL-5 expression(Pmoreover, co-administration of DHA-PC with LPS significantly decreased iL-6 and iL-12/iL-23(p40) expressions compared to that observed with administration of only LPS(Pions: Our results suggest that DHA-PC inhibits pro-inflammatory cytokines [iL-2, iL-6 and iL-12/iL-23(p40)] expression on induction of inflammation.

The introduction of nutrients to lakes causing eutrophic conditions is a major problem around the world. Proper monitoring and modeling are important to effectively manage eutrophication in lake waters. The goal is to develop remote sensing models for nutrients, total phosphorus and total nitrogen, in Lake Champlain. The remote sensing models were created using multivariate linear regression with the unique band combinations of Landsat Enhanced Thematic mapper Plus （ETm＋） imagery based on the empirical relationship with the field observations. The resulting models successfully showed nutrient distributions in the most eutrophic part of Lake Champlain, missisquoi Bay, with reasonable adjusted coefficient of determination values （R2 = 0.81 and 0.75 for total phosphorus and total nitrogen, respectively）. The results show the feasibility and the utility of satellite imagery to detect spatial distributions of lake water quality constituents, which can be used to better understand nutrient distributions in Lake Champlain. This approach can be applicable to other lakes experiencing eutrophication assisting decision making when implementing Best management Practices and other mitigation techniques to lakes.

During the non-breeding season(September–April), Black-tailed Godwits(Limosa limosa) are commonly seen in coastal and inland wetlands of the Ganges-Brahmaputra-meghna Delta in Bangladesh. We hypothesize that the Ganges-Brahmaputra-meghna Delta, at the overlap between the Central Asian and East Asian–Australasian flyways, may host three subspecies that breed in disjunct areas of temperate and northern Asia: L. l. limosa, L. l. melanuroides, and L. l. bohaii. We used mitochondrial DNA(mt DNA) haplotype network and biometric analysis to determine subspecies in captured individuals, and deployed GPS–GSm transmitters to verify breeding areas of individuals with subspecies assignments. To test for differential habitat preferences, we sampled birds at two ecologically distinct habitats known to host the largest concentrations of non-breeding Black-tailed Godwits in Bangladesh: Nijhum Dweep National park, a tidal coastal habitat with brackish water on the south-central coast, and Tanguar Haor(‘backmarsh'), a seasonal freshwater floodplain in the north. During the non-breeding seasons of 2021–2022 and 2022–2023, we sampled and measured 93 Black-tailed Godwits, 54 of which were equipped with GPS–GSm transmitters. Our mt DNA haplotype network analysis confirmed the presence of limosa, melanuroides, and bohaii subspecies at the study sites. Thus, indeed, Black-tailed Godwits subspecies, despite having distinct breeding ranges, exhibit(partially) overlapping non-breeding ranges in Asia. The subspecies composition differed significantly between sites, with limosa and bohaii dominating in Tanguar Haor and melanuroides in Nijhum Dweep. Of the 21 individuals that were tracked to their breeding grounds, 18 migrated to the expected breeding range of their respective subspecies. However, one bird with a limosa haplotype migrated to a known breeding area of bohaii, whereas two birds with melanuroides haplotypes migrated to the supposed breeding range of limosa. This paper proposes new delay-dependent synchronization criteria for coupled Hopfield neural networks with time-varying delays. By construction of a suitable Lyapunov Krasovskii＇s functional and use of Finsler＇s lemma, novel synchronization criteria for the networks are established in terms of linear matrix inequalities （Lmis） which can be easily solved by various effective optimization algorithms. Two numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.
