A problem of unsteady flow of a second grade fluid over flat plates with the impulsive and oscillating motion, starting from rest, and with the wall transpiration is considered. The exact solutions are derived by the Laplace transform, the perturbation techniques, and an extension of the variable separation technique together with similarity arguments. These solutions are written as the sum between the permanent solutions and the transient solutions. The variations of fluid behaviors with various physical parameters are shown graphically and analyzed. The results are validated by comparing the limiting cases of the present paper with the results of the related published articles.

Objective: To synthesize orally bioavailable artemisinin dimers and the evaluation of their in vivo antimalarial activity. Methods: Artemsisin dimers were synthesized and their antimalarial activity was determined in in vitro and in vivo studies(administered orally and iP). Results: Dimers5 and 6 provided 100% suppression of parastemia throughout the oral administration study, with all animals surviving up to day 28(the last day of the study). Conclusion: Dimers 4-7 displayed markedly improved in vitro activity against P. falciparum, while the in vivo activity against P. berghei was highly encouraging, with 5 and 6 completely clearing parasitemia from the start of the drug treatment until the end of the study(day 28).

Sustainable development requires green products and processes, and waste management strategies. The selection and design of green and clean processes and products involve handling a huge set of data related to the environment, economics and technologies Risk-based life cycle assessment (RBLCA) is a systematic approach that enables selection of cleaner and greener products and processes considering entire life cycle of the product/process. Recently, significant progress has been made for the use of life cycle analysis for product/process evaluation and selection, however, its use in process design and environmental decision-making has not been fully exploited. There are challenging activities which require trade-offs among conflicting attributes like cost, technical feasibility and environmental impacts These attributes can be analysed at the early design stage by considering the full life cycle of a process (and/or a product).
